Mr. Shelton died Saturday, Jan. 22, 2000, at Carraway Burdick West Medical Center. He was born Dec. 23, 1946, in Morgan County to John Steve Shelton Sr. and Freda Lorene Shelton. He was a construction worker.
He is survived by his father of Falkville; one son, John Albert Ward of Athens; one daughter, Shelly Jane Cox of Arab; his stepmother, Patsy Campbell Shelton of Falkville; three stepbrothers, James Sanders of Crossville, Tenn., Paul Sanders of Fort Lauderdale, Fla., and Cliff Sanders of Frostia, Ohio; one sister, Melinda Bailey of Houston; two stepsisters, Mary Jones of Falkville and Nanette Bonneville of Dothan; and five grandchildren.
Pallbearers will be Cliff Sanders, Jeff Gray, Max Gray, Tim Gray, Jimmy Gray and James Lewis Gray.

MOULTON -- Funeral for Robert Steelman, 53, of Hillsboro will be Tuesday at 2 p.m. at Lawrence Funeral Home with Harold Letson and Ted Stricklin officiating.
Burial will be in Moulton Memory Gardens. The family will receive friends tonight from 6 to 9 at the funeral home.
Mr. Steelman died Saturday, Jan. 22, 2000, at Lawrence Baptist Medical Center. He was born July 25, 1946, in Madison County to Giles and Elizabeth Steelman. He was the co-owner of S&H Cattle Farms and a plant supervisor at 3M, where he worked for 31 years.
He is survived by his wife, Monica Hopkins Steelman; four sons, Dustin Stricklin of Hillsboro and Wallace Steelman, Mike Steelman and Charlie Steelman, all of Somerville; one daughter, Jennifer Collins of Somerville; three brothers, Dean Steelman, Wallace Steelman and Joe Steelman, all of Somerville; and seven grandchildren.
Pallbearers will be Harold Mayes, Jerry Orr, Dean Steelman, Greg Randolph, Harvey Williams and Tharrell Latham.
Supervisors and production employees of 3M will be honorary pallbearers.

Funeral for Lee "Elmer" Bishop, 84, of Decatur will be Monday at 11 a.m. at Ridout's Brown-Service Funeral Home with Dr. Mark Tolbert officiating.
Burial will be in Roselawn Cemetery. The family will receive friends today from 4 to 6 at the funeral home.
Mr. Bishop died Friday, Jan. 21, 2000, at Brookwood Hospital in Birmingham. He was born July 2, 1915, in Lancaster, Ky., to Herbert and Sally Johnson Bishop. He was a member of Central Baptist Church, a member of Kiwanis Club of Decatur, an organizer and charter member of the Kiwanis Club in Lewisburg, Tenn., and a Gideon. He was a retired Kroger manager with 29 years of service, having opened the first Kroger's in Alabama in 1948. He was the widower of Mary Crowell Bishop.
He is survived by one son, Gary L. Bishop of Birmingham; and two brothers, John William Bishop of Louisville and Eugene Bishop of Pleasure Ridge Park, Ky.
Pallbearers will be Russell Smith, Willie Pentecost, Pat Brock, Harry Maiden, J.C. Brown, and Elton McDonald.
Emenola Earwood
ARAB -- Funeral for Emenola Earwood, 73, of Hartselle will be Monday at 2 p.m. at Hebron Church of Christ with George Marshall officiating.

Miss Earwood died Friday, Jan. 21, 2000, at her home. She was born May 15, 1926, in Cullman County to Hugh Marion and Myrtle Mae Green Earwood. She was a member of Beltline Church of Christ. She was the sister of the late Windham Earwood.
She is survived by three brothers, Jack Earwood of Eva, Hugo Earwood of Baileyton, and Thomas Lee Earwood of Somerville; and four sisters, Marian Miner of Cuyahoga Falls, Ohio, Judy Gibbs of Cullman, Martha Baggett of Hartselle, and Gracie Strohl of Terre Haute, Ind.
Pallbearers will be Eric Earwood, Chris Gibbs, Ricky Earwood, Bobby Earwood, Alan Baggett and Tony Gibbs.
Myrtle Hagood

Mrs. Hagood died Friday, Jan. 21, 2000, at Summerford Nursing Home. She was born May 28, 1908, in Limestone County to William Riley and Carrie McCowan Griffin. She was the widow of Howard Hagood and the sister of the late Rosalie Griffin Black. She was a member and Sunday school teacher at Central Baptist Church and a retired sales clerk for Ellen's Ladies Shop.
She is survived by nephews.

Mr. Hall died Saturday, Jan. 22, 2000, at North Mississippi Medical Center in Tupelo. He was born Jan. 20, 1924, in Tishomingo County, Miss. He was a heavy equipment operator for 25 years, a member of Golden Central Baptist Church for 60 years and a U.S. Army veteran of World War II.
He is survived by his wife, Olene Hall; one son, Jerry Hall of Belmont; three daughters, Dorothy Alexander of Trinity, Peggy Hughes of Tupelo, Miss., and Sue Thorne of Red Bay; two brothers, Verdo Hall of Waukegan, Ill, and Virgil Hall of Red Bay; seven grandchildren; and one great-grandchild.

ATHENS -- Graveside service for Dr. John Pippen Hill, 93, of Jackson, Tenn., will be Monday at 2:30 p.m. at Athens City Cemetery with George Dudley officiating and McConnell Funeral Home directing.
The family will receive friends Monday from 1 to 2 p.m. at the funeral home.
Dr. Hill died Saturday, Jan. 22, 2000, in Jackson. He was born Jan. 11, 1907, in Leighton to Rip and Mamie Pippen Hill. He attended school in Athens and received a degree general science from Lynchburg College in Lynchburg, Va. He received his doctorate in dental surgery from Emory University and interned at Forsyth Dental College in Boston, Mass. He practiced in Athens for 35 years and served as a captain in the Dental Corps during World War II. He retired from dentistry in 1966 and moved to Birmingham and then to Jackson in 1994.
He is survived by one nephew, Lawrence Hill Martin Jr. of Austin, Texas, and one niece, Betty Lee Martin Quinn of Jackson, Tenn.

Mr. King died Friday, Jan. 21, 2000, at his home. He was born Oct. 15, 1967, in Michigan. He was a Methodist and the son of the late Sondra Lee King. He was employed as a supervisor for Hargitt Plumbing, Heating and Air Conditioning.
He is survived by his father, Wayne "Dutchie" King of Hillsboro; and two sisters, Lisa Springer of Decatur and Shawn Smith of Nashville.

Mrs. McDonald died Wednesday, Jan. 19, 2000, at her home. She was born Feb. 11, 1926, in Waynesboro, Va. She was a member of St. Paul's Lutheran Church. She was a retired secretary.
She is survived by one son, Bobby McDonald of Jackson, Tenn.; two daughters, Becki McGuyre of Danville and Debbie Gulledge of Birmingham; two brothers, Billy Deadrick of Navarre, Fla., and Jimmy Deadrick of Fort Lauderdale, Fla.; two sisters, Hope Farr and Ann Baker, both of Waynesboro, Va.; and two grandsons.

Burial will be in Roselawn Cemetery in Athens with Laughlin Funeral Home directing.
Mrs. Spain died Thursday, Jan. 20, 2000, at her home. She was born June 25, 1918, in Athens to George Houston and Sarah Rebecca Rose Davenport. She graduated from Clements High School and attended Florence State Teachers College. She also had lived in Georgia, Arkansas, Oklahoma and California, where she was active in numerous churches. She was a member of Whitesburg Baptist Church for 28 years. She was the sister of the late Andrew Davenport, Lawrence Davenport, Vivian Hodson and Vona Terry.
She is survived by five sons, Walter Edward Spain of Gadsden, John Albert Spain of Roswell, N.M., James Leon Spain and Thomas Kenneth Spain, both of Huntsville, and Commander David Lee Spain of Monterey, Calif.; four daughters, Betty Irene Berry of Fort Worth, Texas, Sarah Frances Spain of Huntsville, Elizabeth Anne Grasty of Houston, Texas, and Mary Jo Windham of Sweet Water; one brother, Alvis Davenport of Athens; three sisters, Leona Tucker of Decatur, and Martha Glaze and Rebecca Leopard, both of Athens; 26 grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.
