HUNTSVILLE -- Funeral for James G. Thomas, 79, of Huntsville will be Monday at 11 a.m. at Twickenham Funeral Home South.
Burial will be in Huntsville Memory Gardens. The family will receive friends tonight from 6 to 8 at the funeral home.
Mr. Thomas died Friday, Jan. 21, 2000, at a local nursing home. He was born Nov. 12, 1920, in Morgan County. He was a member of Bethlehem Baptist Church in Lacey's Spring and a member of the National Association of Accountants in which he received the 1958 Man of the Year Award. He was a U.S. Air Force veteran of World War II.
He is survived by his wife, Jewell Thomas; one son, Mike Thomas of Castle Rock, Colo.; two brothers, Allen Thomas of Somerville and Vernon Thomas of Hartselle; and two grandchildren.
Memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society or a favorite charity.

Mr. Turner died Friday, Jan. 21, 2000, in Albuquerque, N.M. He was born Nov. 27, 1932, in Somerville to John Andrew and Mary Beasley Turner. He was raised in Morgan County and had been a Roswell resident since 1955. He was a member of First United Methodist church and general manager at Bob Crow Chrysler, Plymouth, Dodge Inc.
He is survived by his wife, Billie Jean Trott; one son, Daniel Turner of Roswell; three daughters, Marilyn Gunsenhouser, Terry Tuddle, both of Roswell, and Kimberly Salamo of Albuquerque; four brothers, James and Cecil Turner, both of Decatur, Pierce Turner of Trussville and Hosie Turner of California.
Pallbearers will be Jimmy Hill, Dallas Tuttle, John Ussery, Bill Wilson and Bill Motto.
Evelyn Bussey Altice
CHATTANOOGA -- Graveside service for Evelyn Bussey Altice of Eva will be today at 2 p.m. at Hamilton Memorial Gardens in Chattanooga with the Rev. Joel Wood officiating and Chattanooga Funeral Home, North Chapel, directing.
Mrs. Altice died Thursday, Jan. 20, 2000, in Eva, where she had lived for the past five years. She was born in Stuart Straf, Va., the daughter of Orin and Ethel Bussey of Waynesboro, Va. She was a member of Hixson First Baptist Church and the widow of Mitchell B. Altice.
She is survived by two sons. Mitchell "Mike" Altice of Wilmington, N.C., and Dennis Altice of Decatur; five grandsons and one great-grandson.

Mrs. Bolton died Friday, Jan. 21, 2000, at her home. She was born Dec. 23, 1916, in Morgan County to Mack and Virginia Landers Russell. She was a member of the Fellowship Baptist Church in Trinity. She was a retired Blue Bell meat packer.
She is survived by four sons, Thomas Carey Bolton, Foster Avery Bolton, Kenneth Ray Bolton and Jerry Steven Bolton, all of Trinity; one brother, H.M. Russell of Decatur; two sisters, Virginia Terry of Pulaski, Tenn., and Betty Whisenant of Decatur; 12 grandchildren; and 16 great-grandchildren.
Pallbearers will be T.K. Bolton, Brett Bolton, Sean Bolton, Kenny Bolton, Jeff Bolton and Chris Bolton.

Mrs. Bowman died Friday, Jan. 21, 2000, at her home. She was born Jan. 20, 1938, in Rutherford, Tenn., to Edward and Frances Puckett. She was a home health care nurse, a member of New Antioch Church of Christ and the widow of Prentis Bowman.
She is survived by one son, Andy Bowman of Decatur; three daughters, Debra McLemore of Danville, Wanda Della-Calce of Huntsville and Pam Quigley of Hillsboro;; one brother, Glynn Puckett of Arizona; two sisters, Frances Vitacco and Rita Peveler, both of Chicago, Ill.; nine grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.

Mr. Inscho died Friday, Jan. 21, 2000, at Decatur General Hospital. He was born March 10, 1920, in Caro, Mich. He was a retired General Motors metallurgist and the widower of Olive Inscho.
He is survived by his wife, Marion Inscho of Erie, Pa.; one son, Gayle Dean Inscho of Decatur; one daughter, Debra Lobb of Port Huron, Mich.; and four grandchildren.

Mrs. Blackburn died Thursday, Jan. 20, 2000, at Decatur General Hospital. She was born April 23, 1931, in Etowah County to Berte Ailene Woodham and James Claude Birdsong. A homemaker, she was a member of First United Methodist Church, where she was president of United Methodist Women and a member of the Louise Robinson Sunday school class. She was involved in the community with her husband of 48 years, J. Gilmer Blackburn, who served as mayor of Decatur from 1962 to 1968.
She also was a sustaining member of Junior League of Morgan County, a member of Brookmeade Garden Club, a charter member of Friends of the Wheeler Basin Regional Library and a charter member of Decatur Assembly. She was a student of Ikenobo floral art and was awarded the traditional title of "Kaiden" for the completion of the advanced course in Ikenobo.
She is survived by her husband; three daughters, Gay Blackburn Maloney and Allison Blackburn Akins, both of Decatur, and Lisa Blackburn Ayerst of Germantown, Tenn.; one sister, Gay Birdsong Mayo of Wilmington, N.C.; four granddaughters; and one step-grandson.
Pallbearers will be John B. Charlton, A.J. Coleman, Robert M. Miller, James R. Fite Sr., Thomas C. Bingham and Edward P. Garrett Jr.
