He was born Feb. 18, 1957, in Haleyville. He was the son of the late Henry Turrentine. He was a master plumber.He is survived by his wife, Donna Turrentine; two daughters, Brandi Ward and Traci Turrentine, both of Decatur; his mother, Evelyn Jones Turrentine of Decatur; one brother, Thomas Turrentine of Decatur; and one grandson.
Pallbearers will be Bobby Brown, Patrick Turrentine, Shannon Turrentine, Joshua Lenz, Denny Luizzo and Mike Ward.

Graveside service for Laverne T. Wiggins, 74, of Opelika will be Sunday at 2 p.m. at Decatur City Cemetery with the Rev. Pat Brock officiating.
The family will receive friends tonight from 6 to 8 at Ridout's Brown-Service Funeral Home.
Mrs. Wiggins died Friday, Sept. 10, 1999, at East Alabama Medical Center in Opelika.
She was born Dec. 30, 1924, in Lawrence County to Clyde Rolland and Flora Ann Sherrill Terry. She was a retired secretary at Brown Brothers Lumber Co., where she worked for 25 years. She attended First Baptist Church in Opelika and was a member of Central Baptist Church in Decatur. She was the widow of James Wayne Wiggins and the mother of the late Lou Ann Wiggins.
She is survived by one son, Jimmy Wiggins of Opelika, and one granddaughter.

Mr. Johnson died Saturday, Sept. 4, 1999, at his home. He was born Sept. 6, 1937, in Lawrence County, worked as a welder and was a Mason. He was the son of the late Roy A. Johnson and stepson of the late James Latham. The family requests memorials be made to St. Jude Children's Hospital in Memphis, Tenn.
He is survived by two sons, Wayne Johnson of Moulton and Chuck Johnson of Town Creek; three daughters, JoAnn Gunner of Danville, Cindy Dempsey of Town Creek and Tammy Terry of Moulton; his mother, Mable Latham of Trinity; four brothers, James Latham of Moulton, Johnny Latham of Danville and Jackie Latham and Jerry Latham, both of Trinity; five sisters, Joyce Campbell of Town Creek, Jean Livingston of Priceville, Jane Alexander and Janice Alexander, both of Trinity, and Judy Terry of Decatur; seven grandchildren; and one great grandchild.

Mr. Douthit died Thursday, Sept. 9, 1999, at Decatur General Hospital. He was born Feb. 14, 1914, in Texas to James David Douthit Sr. and Gussie Perry Douthit.
He was a Baptist minister for 50 years at churches in Alabama, Georgia and Washington. He was pastor of Rock Creek Baptist Church in Morgan County and was a Morgan County schoolteacher for 18 years. He served in 10 major engagements in the South Pacific with the U.S. Navy during World War II on the U.S.S. Tingy.
He is survived by his wife, Mary Douthit; three sons, Jimmy Douthit of Gadsden, and Steve Douthit and Bob Douthit, both of Eva; nine grandchildren; and one great-grandchild.
Pallbearers will be Kenny Bennefield, Brandon Butler, Brad Douthit, Chris Douthit, Eric Douthit, Greg Metcalf and Nick Douthit.

Mrs. French died Wednesday, Sept. 8, 1999, at Athens-Limestone Hospital.
She was born Aug. 19, 1926, in Lawrence County to Carl and Winnie Ratliff. She retired from Limestone County Stockyard in Athens and Valley Stockyard in Decatur.
She is survived by one daughter, Donna French Townshend of Mason, Mich.; one son, John Hector French III of Athens; and one sister, Christine Burch of Danville.

Mrs. Houston died Saturday, Sept. 4, 1999, at her home. She was born Sept. 9, 1909, in Green brier, to the Rev. Charlie Lewis Pendleton and Mary Matthews Pendleton. She was a member of Mount Zion Cumberland Presbyterian Church where she helped establish the missionary society. She worked at Redstone Arsenal as a pastry baker for more than 30 years. After she retired, she was active in the Athens-Limestone County Retired and Senior Volunteer Program and received many awards for her dedication.
She was the widow of George Houston Sr.
She is survived by two brothers, the Rev. Joe Pendleton of Huntsville and the Rev. Henry J. Pendleton of Green brier; seven grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; and eight great-great-grandchildren.
Great-nephews will be pallbearers.

Mr. Oden died Thursday, Sept. 9, 1999, at Falkville Healthcare Center. He was born April 1, 1911, in Morgan County. He was a retired farmer and a member of Oden Ridge Baptist Church. He was father of the late Charles A. Oden.
He is survived by his wife, Clara V. Oden; one son, James Armstrong of Eva; two daughters, Bonnie Kent of Mary Ester, Fla., and Connie Oden of Trussville; one sister, Edith Aday of Oden Ridge; five grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.
