Oliver Dexton (Deck) Bishop
Graveside services for Oliver Dexton (Deck) Bishop of Reform were held at 1 p.m. Dec. 27 at Arbor Springs Baptist Church Cemetery with Rev. Melvin Mordecai officiating and Skelton Funeral Home of Reform directing.
He was a member of Coalfire Baptist Church, retired in sales and a life-long resident of Pickens County. He was preceded in death by his parents Willie and Annie Mae Bishop; and brother Joe Bishop. He died Dec. 24 at the age of 57 at his residence.
Survivors include his daughters Dana (Bobby) Cook and Stephanie Bishop, both of Columbus, Miss.; son Chris Bishop, Reform; brother Donald Bishop, Columbus, Miss.; and grandchildren Tish Russell, Dustin Cook and Courtney Lynn.
Pallbearers were Bobby Cook, Rick Taylor, Jason Bishop, Joe Wayne Langford, John Paul Adresen, Murray Maxwell and Sam Smith. Honorary pallbearer was Gene Bishop.
Clifton Franklin Britt
Funeral services for Clifton Franklin Britt of Aliceville were held at 2 p.m. Dec. 27 at Aliceville First United Methodist Church with Rev. Eugene McCarley and Dr. Joe Whitt officiating.
He received recognition and awards as outstanding businessman and owner of a marina in Panama City, Fla., and auto parts stores in Alabama.
Survivors include his wife Dorothy Britt, Aliceville; sons Gregory Franklin (Tonya) Britt, Reform, Clifton Chad (Vicki) Britt, Carrollton, Jeffery Todd (Katey) Britt, Marietta, Ga., and Michael Shane (Maria) Britt, Meridian, Miss.; sisters Helen Harcrow and Mildred Fitch; and grandchildren Zachary, Alicia, Alexia Britt, Chase and Chance Britt.
Pallbearers were Billy Randall, Jerry Powell, Robert Wright, Ricky Bishop, Tommy Johnson and John Paul Richardson.

Laura D. Evans
Funeral services for Laura D. Evans of Gordo were held at 2 p.m. Dec. 31 at Skelton Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Ralph Smith and Rev. Garnett Brown officiating.
She was a member of the Primitive Baptist faith. She was preceded in death by two brothers and two sisters. She died Dec. 28 at the age of 92 at Park Manor Nursing Home.
Survivors include her husband of 57 years, Lester Covin Evans, Gordo; sister Ruby Dyer, Gordo; and several nieces and nephews.
Pallbearers were Oliver Junkins, Jerome Junkins, Ralph Junkin Jr., Dwight Herring, Raiford Walters, Kenneth Dyer, Barry Carver, Freddie Junkins and John Junkins.

Aubrey Holliman
Funeral services for Aubrey Geer Holliman of Montgomery were held at 11 a.m. Jan. 2 at Aliceville First Baptist Church with Dr. Joe Whitt and Dr. Jim Cooley officiating.
He was a native of Pickens County and a resident of Montgomery for the past two years. He was a resident of Aliceville for the past 59 years and the Stansel community for seven years. He was a member of Aliceville First Baptist Church for 58 years and served as Choir Director for 25 years. He died Dec. 28 at Baptist Medical Center East in Montgomery at the age of 88.
Survivors include his wife of 66 1/2 years, Jessie F. Holliman, Montgomery; son Mike (Lynne) Holliman, Montgomery; brother Robert S. (Evelyn) Holliman, Elba; and granddaughter Erin Holliman, Ft. Myers, Fla.
Pallbearers were Laverne Bryant, Stan Strawn, Fred Lee, Bruce Findley, Fred Findley and Randy Simpson.
Burial was in Magnolia Memorial Gardens with Stabler-Robbins Funeral Home of Aliceville directing.
Carolyn Latham
Funeral services for Carolyn J. Latham of Reform were held at 2 p.m. Dec. 23 at Reform Temple Church of God in Christ with Elder Jesse L. Hutton officiating.
She was a native of Chicago. She was a member of Reform Temple Church of God in Christ Church. She was preceded in death by her grandmother Rosetta Banks; and brother Albert Clyde Latham. She died Dec. 19 at the age of 42 at her residence.
Survivors include her husband Bernard Latham; son Karrie Tyshun Nevith, Reform; daughter Claudia Chantel Nevith, Reform; brothers Robert Latham, Ralph Latham, Shelly (Carolyn) Latham and Eric Bernard (Valerie) Latham, all of Chicago, Donald (Janice) Latham, Memphis, Tenn., and Oscar Lenard Latham, Cleveland, Ohio; sisters Willa (Paul) Dean Outlaw and Sondra Denise Latham, both of Chicago, and Barbara Ann Ajoa, Cleveland, Ohio; sisters-in-law Charmaine Latham, Chicago; Catherine Latham, Marguerite Latham and Mildred Steele, all of Reform; brother-in-law Willie (Bertha) Hugh Latham; grandchildren Karrie Tyshun Jr. and Enezia Tiez Nichole Nevith, both of Reform; and several nieces and nephews.

Leatha Agnes Nickoles
Funeral services for Leatha Agnes Nickoles of Fayette were held at 2 p.m. Dec. 29 at Stabler-Robbins Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Ralph Smith officiating.
She was a native and life-long resident of Pickens County. She was a resident of Fayette for the past seven years. She was preceded in death by her husband Grady Tillman Nickoles. She died Dec. 26 at the age of 84 at Fayette Longterm Health Care Services.
Survivors include her daughter Gloria Jean (Rev. Jack D.) House, Pascagoula, Miss.; sister Virginia (George Raiford) Smith, Columbus, Miss.; brothers Virgil (Sybil) E. Dick Stripling and Minor (Maxine) W. Pete Stripling, both of Columbus, Miss.; grandson David Lee House, Pascagoula, Miss.; great-granddaughter Christina House, Nectar, Ala.; great-grandson Ross Tillman House, Bowling Green , Ky.

James Erwin Tomlin
Funeral services for James Erwin Tomlin of Carrollton were held at 12 noon Dec. 18 at Springhill Missionary Baptist Church with Minister Samuel Cole officiating.
He was a native of Hickman, Ky. He attended Harper High School in Chicago. He worked for the City of Chicago for 10 years, and served with the U.S. Army for three years. He was preceded in death by his brothers Robert Lanier and William Lanier. He died Dec. 18 at the age of 50.
Survivors include his wife Laverne Mixon Tomlin; daughter Tawana (Kelly) Sellers; stepchildren Jacqueline, Tonya, Kimberly, Steve, Jeffrey and Stuart, all of Chicago; grandchildren Angela, Kelly and Dion Sellers, all of Chicago; sisters Ruby (James) McClung and Lena Tomlin, both of Aliceville, and Mamie (Francis) Anane, Chicago; brothers Orestes (Carolyn) Tomlin, Chicago, and Isaac (Gennis) Tomlin, Covert, Mich.; and several nieces and nephews.
Pallbearers were James McClung, Cordawell Smith, Samuel Cole, J. D. Conners, Jake Hines and Steve Harris.
