Maebelle Finch Stokes Helton
Funeral services for Maebelle Finch Stokes Helton of Reform were held at 11 a.m. June 14 at Reform First United Methodist Church with Rev. Alan Head officiating.

She was a member of Reform First United Methodist Church. She was preceded in death by her husbands D. O. Stokes and John J. "Jack" Helton. She died June 11 at the age of 92 at Larocca Nursing Home.

Survivors include her son David Finch (Martha) Stokes, Carrollton; sister Velma Finch (Joe) Wallace, Spanish Fort, Ala.; grandchildren Carol Stokes (Dennis) Reid, Birmingham and Susan Stokes (Paul) Lammers, Dorado, Puerto Rico; great-granddaughters Kimberly and Katherine Lammers, both of Dorado, Puerto Rico; and nieces and nephews Beth Finch (Billy) Curtis, Tuscaloosa, Judy Wallace (Russ) Hawes, Fairhope, Bebe Wallace (David) Cox, Haleyville, Ala. and Susan Finch (John) Gunn, Barbara Finch and Steve (Lucy) Wallace, all of Birmingham.

Pallbearers were Jim Stokes, Glenn Stokes, Lex Stokes, Walter Lee O'Bryant, A. C. (Bubba) Wade, Buddy Crocker and Doug Lowery.

Burial was in Graham Memorial Cemetery with Skelton Funeral Home of Reform directing.

In lieu of flowers donations may be made to Reform First United Methodist Church, 807 3rd Street NE, Reform, AL 35481.

Joe William Hughes
Funeral services for Joe William Hughes of Reform were held at 1 p.m. June 15 at Popular Springs CME Church.

He died June 8 at his residence at the age of 62.

Burial was in the church cemetery with Reform Memorial Funeral Home directing.

Michael T. Junkin Sr.
Graveside services for Michael T. Junkin Sr. of Gordo were held at 5 p.m. June 9 at Double Branch Cemetery with Rev. Garnett Brown and Rev. Richard Vaughn officiating and Skelton Funeral Home of Reform directing.

He was owner of the automotive dealership Mike Junkin Ford in Carrollton for 25 years. He was preceded in death by his parents Vernie H. and Nora Mae Moss Junkin. He died June 8 at the age of 60 at Northport Medical Center.

Survivors include his wife of 40 years, Jerry Montgomery Junkin of Gordo; daughter Tonya Junkin (Frank) Barringer, Coker, sons Michael T. (Abby) Junkin Jr., Reform, and Paul H. (Jody) Junkin, Panama City, Fla.; sister Brenda J. (William) Grammer, Carrollton; brothers Larry B. (Elaine) Junkin, Tennessee and Raybon (Virginia) Junkin, Gordo; grandchildren Jessie Junkin, Trey Barringer, Paige Barringer and Jordan Junkin; stepchildren Carrie, Tasha and Kelly Beazley; and three granddogs, Oscar, Felix and Tater.

Virginia “Pookie” Kennedy
Funeral services for Virginia "Pookie" Kennedy of Reform were held at 2 p.m. June 12 at First Baptist Church with Rev. H. L. Shambry officiating.

She was a member of First Baptist Church of Reform, where she was a member of the Usher Board and Matrons Society. She attended the Pickens County school system and Tennessee State University. She had been employed by the U.S. Postal Service, Presbyterian St. Luke Hospital in Chicago, Ill., Pickens County Hospital, Pickens County Sheriff's Department, Tuscaloosa Metro Detention Center and the Taylor Hardin Secure Medical Facility in Tuscaloosa. She was preceded in death by her parents Sam and Louise Kennedy; a brother, sister and nephew. She died June 6 at the age of 55.

Survivors include her sisters Sammie L. George, Kosciusko, Miss., Catherine (Eugene) James and Elsie Johnson, Markham, Ill.; nieces Scharlena V. Johnson, Reform, and Jacqueline L. James, Markham, Ill.; nephew Kenneth Johnson, Euless, Tex.; greatnieces and greatnephews, Scott Betts Sr., Reform, Nakita M. Kennedy, Allison Dudley, Alison L. Kennedy Jr. and Christopher J. Kennedy, all of Tuscaloosa and Porsha and Tranell Johnson of Hurst, Tex.; great-greatnieces and great-greatnephews Jeffrey, Tuscaloosa, and Deandre', Karissa, Scott Jr. and Alexis, all of Reform; godchildren Tracey and DJ Flowers, Reform; cousins Henry (Boy) Bradley, Yvonne Washington and Rosemary Stewart, all of Reform; special cousins and friends, Barbara Richards, Betty May, Paul Gibson, Nakita and Virginia Henley, all of Tuscaloosa, Elizabeth Faye Sanders, Carrollton, Faye Simpson, Pickensville, and Debra Tillman, West Point, Miss.

Pallbearers were Stanley Jones, Willie Little, Joe Hurst, Kenneth Johnson and Scott Betts.

Honorary pallbearers were Dr. Steve Copeland and his nurse Beverly, doctors and nurses and respiratory therapist (MICU) First Floor DCH Regional Medical Center of Tuscaloosa, law enforcement agencies for Alabama and Mississippi and employees of Taylor Hardin Secure Medical Facility.

Burial was in Hopewell Cemetery with Lavender Funeral Service directing.

Tommy Ray Leonard
Funeral services for Tommy Ray Leonard of Coker were held at 2 p.m. June 10 at Higdon Church of God in Kennedy with Bro. Keith Crawley officiating.

He was a native of Pickens County. He was the operator of Hardin’s Bakery Thrift Store. He was a member of the Carrollton Church of God where he served as associate pastor. He was preceded in death by his grandparents Earnest and Julie Ann Watkins and Rev. Burby and Eliese (Walden) Leonard. He died June 6 at DCH Regional Medical Center at the age of 49.

Survivors include his wife Brenda Kay (Channell), Coker; two daughters, Pam (Greg) Robertson, and Jeanette (Jeff) Wharton, both of Coker; parents James Olen and Earnestine (Watkins) Leonard, Millport; three sisters, Gloria Jean (Buddy) House, Millport, Debora (Dennis) McKay and Lawana (Richard) Hollaway, both of Columbus, Miss.; and three grandchildren, Matthew, Michael and Sarah Robertson, Coker.

Pallbearers were Dennis McKay, Buddy House, Richard Hollaway, Ronny Channell, Barry Channell and Danny Channell.
Honorary pallbearers were members of the Carrollton Church of God; Mt. Olive Volunteer Fire Department; employees and customers of Hardin’s Bakery Thrift Store.

Burial was in Higdon Cemetery with Dowdle Funeral Home directing.

Allen Whitfield Marquis
Funeral services for Allen Whitfield Marquis of Gordo were held at 10 a.m. June 12 at Hannah United Methodist Church with Rev. Griff Pemberton, Rev. James Posey and Rev. Horace Fair officiating.

He was a member of Hannah United Methodist Church and the Gordo Masonic Lodge #564. He was a retired salesman for Holsom Bread Company. He was preceded in death by his first wife Aileen Marquis. He died June 10 at the age of 89 at Pickens County Medical Center.

Survivors include his wife Lera Marquis, Gordo; daughter Linda Smith, Summerton, SC; stepdaughter Dianne S. Foster , Northport; stepson Ladell Shackelford, Northport; sister Elizabeth Reece, Tuscaloosa; brother Albert Marquis, Tuscaloosa; grandchildren Susan Smith, Fayetteville, NC; step-grandchildren Angel Foster , Chad Foster and Deanna Blakeney, all of Northport.

Pallbearers were Mack Fair, Raiford Sanders, Leon Fair, Roy Fair, Oliver Junkin and Billy Koon.

Honorary pallbearers were neighbors and friends of the community.

Burial was in Hannah United Methodist Church Cemetery with Skelton Funeral Home of Reform directing.

Hoy Owens
Funeral services for Hoy Owens of Reform were held at 2 p.m. May 25 at First Baptist Church with Rev. Hugh Shamery officiating.

He was a member of the First Baptist Missionary Church, serving as church treasurer and on the Deacon Board. He was a member of Mason Caution Lodge #220 in Reform. He was preceded in death by his wife A. D. Sanders Owens; one child and five brothers. He died May 20 at the age of 90.

Survivors include James (Ruth) Owens, Eric, Penn., Curtis (Janet) Owens, Willie (Diania) Owens, Charlie Earl (Kim) Owens, Claude Sanders Owens, all of Oil City, Penn.; Lula M. (Exzell) Bradley, Ethelsville and Jeanette Hayes, Oil City, Penn.; 21 grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.

Pallbearers were Rickey Bradley, Stanley Jones, Exzell Bradley Jr., Willie Little, Terry Bradley and Joe Hurst.

Burial was in Hopewell Cemetery with Reform Memorial Funeral Home directing.

Jessie J. Windham
Funeral services for Jessie J. Windham of Reform were held at 2 p.m. June 8 at New Providence Baptist Church with Rev. George Clancy officiating.

He was preceded in death by a sister and brother. He died recently at the age of 77.

Survivors include his children Jessica Mathis, Atlanta, Ga., James Windham Jr., Reform, Jeffrey (Rhonda) Windham, Columbus, Miss. and Sarah (Bennie) Jones, Reform; sisters Eva Windham, Reform, Ada M. (Harvey) Davis, St. Louis, Mo., Betty Warren, New York; brothers Sammy (Joan) Windham, New York, Bennie Windham, Reform, and Roosevelt Windham, Tuscaloosa; eight grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; special friends Gene Sherrod, Jerry Todd and Frankie Jones; and several nieces and nephews.

Pallbearers were nephews and friends.

Burial was in New Providence Baptist Cemetery with Lavender Funeral Service directing.

E. D. McCloud
Funeral services for E. D. "Mac" McCloud of Reform were held at 11 a.m. June 28 at First United Methodist Church in Reform with Rev. Alan Head officiating.

He was a U.S. Army Veteran of the Korean War and was an agent for Liberty National Insurance Company for 45 years. He was a member of the First United Methodist Church in Reform for 40 years, where he served on the Pastor-Parish Rela-tions Committee and the Administrative Board. He was a member of the Rotary Club for 48 years, which honored him as a Paul Harris Fellow. He died June 25 at the age of 74 in Carrollton.
Survivors include his wife of 55 years, Kathleen Franks McCloud, Reform; daughter Cathy McCloud (T. Julian) Motes, Mobile; grandchildren Thomas Motes Jr. and Eva Kathleen "Katie" Motes, both of Mobile; sister V. Nell Krueger, Tupelo, Miss.; and brother Charles "Max" Mc-Cloud, Vernon.

Pallbearers were Herbert Latham, Allen Layson, Bub-ba Wade, Rob Finney, Ken Dyer, Jerry Lowe, Mark Fields, T. O. Brownlee and Ed Wheat.

Honorary pallbearers were Liberty National co-workers in Columbus, Miss., Ophelia Spruill Sunday School Class and the Rotary Club members.

Burial was in Wofford Cemetery with Dowdle Funeral Home of Millport directing. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to First United Methodist Church in Reform.

Emma Lee Minor
Funeral services for Emma Lee Minor were held at 11 a.m. July 10 at Alice-ville National Guard Armory with Rev. Jimmy DeGraf-fenreid officiating.

She was a member of Little Vine Primitive Baptist Church. He was preceded in death by her husband Rich-ard Minor; and sisters Sally Horton, Edith Murphy and Mamie Jones. She died July 3 at the age of 74 at DCH Regional Medical Center.
Survivors include her sister Julia Peoples, Brooklyn, NY; sons John (Carol) Jones, Robert (Doris) Jones, De-troit, Mich. and Jerry (Debra) Jones, Tuscaloosa; daughters Mary Ann (Foster ) Brooks, Rosie (Bruce) Hughes, Josie Mae Jones, Bertha Jones and Jessie Pearl (Jimmy Watson) Jones, Aliceville; 31 grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren; special granddaughter Marah Davis, Tuscaloosa; goddaughter Stacy Horton, Aliceville; and several aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews.
Pallbearers were her sons, sons-in-law and Little Vine Deacons.

Burial was in New Cem-etery with Lavender Funeral Service directing.

Jimmie Rodgers Moore
Funeral services for Cap-tain Jimmie Rodgers Moore, USN Ret. of Mt. Pleasant, SC were held at 11 a.m. July 12 at Pleasant Hill Baptist Church with Rev. John Whitley officiating.

He was a native of Sapps. He joined the Navy as an enlisted man following graduation from Aliceville High School in 1949. He graduated from the U.S. Naval Acad-emy, commanded two conventional submarines, commissioned the Navy's first all new SSN 668 Class Nuclear Submarine Squadron and served as Plans Officer for the Office of the Chief of Naval Operations. Following his retirement, he earned a juris doctorate degree from Suffolk University Law School. He spent much of his time as a master gardener in Mount Pleasant and he was a member of the Harry Truman Masonic Lodge in Key West, Fla. He died June 30 at the age of 70 at his residence.

Survivors include his wife Jacquelyn Moore, Mt. Plea-sant, SC; daughters Jennifer Susan Moore, Alexandria, Va. and Jessica Marie Moore, Bocota, NJ; son David Spen-cer Moore, Virginia Beach, Va.; sisters Frances Harrice Rogers and Lonnie Evelyn Sheppard, both of Tusca-loosa, Jannett Moore Craw-ford, Northport and Helen Sarah Boston, Pensacola, Fla.; brothers James Gilbert Moore, Aliceville and James Britt Moore, Jr. of Northport; and grandchildren James and Nicole Beauchamp.
Burial was in Pilgrims Rest Cemetery with full Masonic rites with Skelton Funeral Home of Reform directing. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Aliceville Museum and Cultural Arts Center, 104 Broad Street Plaza, Alice-ville, AL 35442, or to the charity of one's choice.

Lucille Mustin
Funeral services for Lucille Mustin were held at 2:30 p.m. July 10 at Laven-der Funeral Service Chapel with Bro. Anderson officiating.

She was a member of Hood Hill Church of Christ. She was preceded in death by her grandson Howard O'Neal Gilmore. She died July 7 at the age of 89.

Survivors include her children Margaret (Zebedee) Barnes, Joyce A. Mustin, Willie J. (Sarah) Mustin, Jessie (Susan) Lucious and Betty (Jimmy Jr.) Gilmore; grandchildren Jennifer Keith, Carol Thomas, Sylone Mus-tin, Jeffery Mustin, Taurus Mustin, Clarence Gilmore, Loraine Gilmore, Melinda Gilmore, Cheryl Barnes, James Mustin, Patrick Gil-more, Michael Gilmore, Marvin Barnes and Nea-polian Mustin; and 17 great-grandchildren.

Pallbearers were grandsons.

Burial was in New Salem Cemetery with Lavender Funeral Service directing.
