Gerald B. “Gary” Harris
Funeral services for Gerald B. "Gary" Harris of Gordo were held at 11 a.m. May 27 at Flatwoods Baptist Church with Rev. Jack House and Rev. Randy Gray officiating.

He was born in Tuscaloosa. He was an employee in the curing department at UniRoyal Goodrich with 20 years of service. He was a Son of the Confederate Veterans and a 30-year resident of Pickens County. He was preceded in death by his father Jesse Blake Harris Jr. and mother-in-law Betty Shirley Gray. He died May 24, 2006 at the age of 54 in Tuscaloosa.

Survivors include his wife of 33 years, Kathy Gray Harris, Gordo; daughters Lisa Harris (Heath) Clements, Coker, and Rebecca Harris, Gordo; mother Elizabeth Church Harris; sister Gayle H. (Butch) Skelton, Cottondale; grandson Blake Austin Clements; and several nieces and nephews.
Pallbearers were Dan Hall, Tim Gilbert, Milas Arnold, Glen Lindsey, Joey Church, Dusty Skelton, Lee Logan and Robbie Logan.

Honorary pallbearers were Sons of Confederate Veterans, co-workers and friends of B. F. Goodrich, Flatwoods Baptist Church community, and employees of First National Bank of Central Alabama.

Burial was in Flatwoods Baptist Church Cemetery with Skelton Funeral Home of Reform directing.

Georgia M. Herron
Funeral services for Georgia M. Herron of Gordo were held at 2 p.m. May 20 at Acks Chapel CME Church with Rev. William Miles officiating.

She died May 15, 2006 at the age of 84 at her residence.

Survivors include her daughter Lynda L. Herron, Gordo; sons Johnnie Gardner, Tuscaloosa, Leon Herron, Northport, Tommy (Beatrice) Herron, Hempstead, NY, James (Kitty) Herron, Gordo, and Donald Ray Herron, Memphis, Tenn.; stepdaughter Ruth Doss, Tuscaloosa; 14 grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; special nephew Sammy Ray (Sue) Herron, Boaz; special friends Lucille Cody and Mattie McCrary; and several nieces and nephews.

Burial was in Oak Grove Cemetery with Druid Funeral Service directing.

Clara Treeman Cotton Hodge
Funeral services for Clara Treeman Cotton Hodge were held at 2 p.m. April 27 at Twin Oaks Funeral Home Chapel with Bro. Steve Howell officiating.

She was preceded in death by her son William David Hodge and sister Vivian Cotton Kelly. She died April 24, 2006 at the age of 81.

Survivors include her husband of 61 years, John A. Hodge; son John Larry Hodge; daughter Jean Ann Hodge; sister Jean Edgeworth; grandchildren Cynthia Hodge Graeff and Jessica Hodge Losell; and great-grandchildren Luke Graeff and Drew Losell.

Burial was in Twin Oaks Memorial Garden in Southaven, Miss. with Twin Oaks Funeral Home directing.

Grady Lawhorn
Funeral services for Grady Lawhorn of Reform were held at 1 p.m. May 20 at Wills' Funeral Service Chapel with Rev. Joe C. Wills officiating.

He died May 13, 2006 at the age of 87 at Salem Nursing Home.

Burial was in West Highland Memorial Gardens with Wills' Funeral Service directing.

Mary Estelle Hollinger Pate
Funeral services for Mary Estelle Hollinger Pate of Reform were held at 11 a.m. May 26 at Skelton Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Ralph Smith officiating.

She was a member of Arbor Springs Baptist Church, a homemaker and a life-long resident of Pickens County. She was preceded in death by her husband John Pate, son Billy Jo Pate, three brothers, one sister and one grandson. She died May 26, 2006 at the age of 89 at Salem Nursing and Rehab Center.

Survivors include her daughters Maurine Harrell and Elsie Richardson, both of Reform, Maudine Harrell, Pensacola, Fla., and Alice Parker and Linda Kizziah, both of Gordo; sister Lou Nell Black and Elsie Mae Guy; brother Willard Hollinger; and several grandchildren.

Pallbearers were her grandsons. Honorary pallbearers were Shannon Driver and family, staff and residents of Salem Nursing and Rehab Center and Dr. Honea.

Burial was in Arbor Springs Cemetery with Skelton Funeral Home of Reform directing.

Joseph Arnold Peck Sr.
Funeral services for Joseph Arnold Peck, Sr. of Gordo were held at 11 a.m. May 20 at First Baptist Church of Gordo.

He died May 10, 2006 at the age of 69 at DCH Regional Medical Center.

Burial was in Linebarger Cemetery with Williams Service Funeral Home directing.

Maudeal Junkin Shelton
Funeral services for Maudeal Junkin Shelton of Reform were held at 2 p.m. May 24 at Skelton Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Joseph Condra officiating.

She was born in Reform. She was a member of Friendship Baptist Church, a homemaker and a lifelong resident of Pickens County. She was preceded in death by her husband Freeman J. Shelton Jr., son Floyd Lee Shelton, granddaughter Amy Lou Shelton and brother J. G. Junkin. She died May 20, 2006 at the age of 81 at Danville Centre for Health and Rehab.

Survivors include her daughters Sandra (Doug) Shirley, Altoona, Ala. and Rita (Ricky) Clemmons, Dallas, Ga.; sons Sonny (Bea) Shelton, Danville, Ky., Freddy (Susie) Shelton, Reform, Frank Shelton, Frankfort, Ky., Butch (Delynn) Shelton, Douglasville, Ga. and Bud (Kim) Shelton, North-port; brothers Mayo Junkin, Reform, and William Searcy Junkin, Spring, Texas; sisters Estelle McCrary and Jean Richardson, both of Reform, and Janice Cook, Auburn; daughter-in-law Yoma Shelton, Dallas, Ga.; 17 grandchildren; and 13 great-grandchildren.

Pallbearers were Brad Perry, Allen Shelton, Justin Shelton, Sam Shelton, Randy Junkin and Reagan Rhone.

Honorary pallbearers were David Junkin, Jake Shelton and Logan Shelton.

Burial was in Unity Grove Methodist Church Cemetery with Skelton Funeral Home of Reform directing.

Jewel Lucille Stanfill
Funeral services for Jewel Lucille Stanfill of Aliceville were held at 2 p.m. May 25 at Dogwood Chapel with Rev. Jim Allen officiating.

She was born in Jackson, Tenn. She was a member of Aliceville First Assembly of God and a retired employee of the Aliceville Cotton Mill. She was preceded in death by her husband Alton Lynville Stanfill. She died May 23, 2006 at the age of 93 at Pickens County Medical Center.

Survivors include her daughters Agatha Tucker, Birmingham, Nell (Dick) Green ley, Lafayette, La., Eva (Russell) Sims, Valley, Ala. and Libby (Gary) Geeslin, Columbus, Miss.; sons Bobbie Lynville (Anne) Stanfill, Ozark, Ala., Billy Ray (Merle) Stanfill, Cleveland, Tenn., and James L. Stanfill, Aliceville; grandchildren Pam, Gary, Mark, Jackie, Lynn, Kathy, Janice, Mike, Greg, Eric, Kevin, Melanie, Patti, Kathy and Melissa; 17 great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild.

Pallbearers were Mike Stanfill, Lee Stanfill, Greg Stanfill, Kevin Sims, Matthew Walls and Gary Tucker. Honorary pallbearer was Lynn Stanfill.

Burial was in Franconia-Oak Grove Cemetery with Skelton Funeral Home of Reform directing.

Albert Bowen
Funeral services for Albert Lehman Bowen of Carrollton were held at 2 p.m. Nov. 6 at the Stabler-Robbins Funeral Home Chapel in Aliceville with Rev. Keith Crowley officiating.
He was preceded in death by a daughter Angela Doris Bowen. He died Nov. 4 at his residence at the age of 50.
Survivors include his wife Mary Bowen, Carrollton; five sons, Albert Bowen Jr. and David Bowen, both of Birmingham, Chris Stokes, Jason and Bobby Bowen, all of Carrollton; one sister Judy Finch, Aliceville; two brothers, Roy Bowen Jr., Atlanta, Ga., and John Bowen, Columbus, Miss.; and eight grandchildren.
Burial was in Magnolia Mem-orial Gardens with Stabler-Rob-bins Funeral Home directing.

Bertha M. Curry
Funeral services for Bertha Mannings Curry of Aliceville were held at 2 p.m. Oct. 31 at Emory Chapel CME Church with Rev. Willie James Lavender officiating.
She was preceded in death by her husband Joe Frank Curry. She was a member of New Canaan Baptist Church. She died Oct. 23 at DCH Regional Medical Center at the age of 61.
Survivors include her son Billy Mannings; one sister Bessie Bank, Huntsville; three brothers, Jimmy Mannings, Eddie Mannings and Clarence Mannings; two grandchildren, Kenneth Craig and Cherrish Wilder; and a host of nieces and nephews.
Nephews served as pallbearers.
Burial was in Bethany Cemetery with Lavender Funeral Service directing.

William Lewis Guy Jr.
Funeral services for William Lewis (Pop) Guy Jr. of Rt. 2 Gordo were held at 2 p.m. Nov. 3 at Flatwoods Baptist Church with Revs. Mark McGee, Todd Burk-halter and Chester Free officiating.
He was a member of Flat-woods Baptist Church, a U.S. Air Force Veteran, a member of the Gordo Chapter OES, and Mason-ic Lodge No. 564. He was a retired poultry grower and a lifelong resident of Pickens County. He died Oct. 31 at DCH Regional Medical Center at the age of 67.
Survivors include his wife Peggy Kirk Guy, Gordo; a son Lewis Kirk Guy and his wife Amy Jo, both of Gordo; four daughters, Valarie Dawn Guy Bartlett and husband Phil, both of Gordo, Tina Guy Pollard and her husband Kenny, both of Millport, Lisa Guy Simpson and her husband Robby, both of Gordo, and Tia Marie Guy, Gordo; eight grandchildren, Austin Capps, Briar Bartlett, Dallas Pollard, Haleigh Simpson, Briana Bart-lett, Hunter Simpson, Dalton Pollard and Destiny Pollard.
Pallbearers were Tim Jones, Donny Mosley, Randy Cowart, Doug Tilley, Jerry Reece, Terry Billings, Phil Bartlett and Marvin Duren.
Honorary pallbearers were Gordo High School Class of 1950, Todd Malone, Leon El-more, Willey McGee, Laverne Vise, Carmon Kirk, Walker Cow-art, Jon Roebuck, Amy B. McDaniel, Jackie Wilson, Norma Kirk, Tracy Guy Malone, Sheila Rodenberry, Jeffery Campbell and family, Mr. and Mrs. A. T. Kirk Jr., Mr. and Mrs. Roy Posey, Mr. and Mrs. Lloyd Shirley, M.E. Duren family, members of the Gordo OES, and Masonic Lodge No. 564, Kirk Volunteer Fire Department, Wednesday afternoon domino playing buddies, other friends and neighbors.
Burial was in the church cemetery with Stabler-Robbins Fune-ral Home of Reform directing.

Senola M. Harris
Funeral services for Senola Miller Harris were held at 11 a.m. Oct. 31 at the Macedonia Religious Center with Rev. Willie G. Fulgham officiating.
She was a native of Pickens County. She was a member of the original Macedonia Comblin Presbyterian Church. She was preceded in death by her husband Nathan Harris Sr. and two children. She died Oct. 22 at Huron Road Hospital in Cleveland, Ohio at the age of 86.
Survivors include four sons, Charlie and Mabry, both of Cleveland, Ohio, Nathan Buffalo, NY, and Joe, New York City, NY; three daughters, Jessie Perry, New Orleans, La., Wylonia Smith, Buffalo, NY, and Eloise Dancy, Cleveland, Ohio; three brothers, Roosevelt Hughes, Birmingham, Archie Hughes, Toledo, Ohio, and Bobbie Hughes, Aliceville; three sisters, Mary Wilson, Tuscaloosa, Eliza-beth Barnes, New Orleans, La., and Carmilla Wilder, Birming-ham; 13 grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; one great-grandchild; and a host of nieces and nephews.
Pallbearers were Gary Dancy, James Dancy, Mabry Harris, Mark Harris, Kenneth Smith and Wayne Smith.
Burial was in Seraph Cemetery in Green e County with Lavender Funeral Service directing.
