Funeral services for Jimmy Lee "Buck" Dunner, Jr. of Aliceville, were held at 2 p.m. April 15 at New Canaan Baptist Church with Rev. C. L. Gary officiating.
He was a 1982 graduate of Aliceville High School.
He was a member, trustee and member of the Senior Usher Board at New Prospect Missionary Baptist Church of Northport.
He was preceded in death by his grandmother, Leola Phillips, uncle, Homer Phillips and aunt, Wilma P. Dixon.
He died recently [15 April 1999] at the age of 34.
Survivors include his wife Terry; two sons, Jimmy and Andre Dunner, Tuscaloosa; mother Earnestine Summerville, Aliceville; father Jimmy Dunner, Chicago, Ill.; seven sisters, Josie Dunner, Virginia Beach, Va., Amy Kennedy, Aliceville, Angie, Jackie and Leslie Dunner, all of Chicago, Ill., Cora Andrew, Tuscaloosa, and Earlene Latham, Reform; six brothers, Earnest Dunner and Clifford Summerville, both of Aliceville, Donald and Alphonsia Summerville, both of Gordo, Issac Dunner, Chicago, Ill., and Chris Summerville, Brooksville, Miss.; 13 aunts; nine uncles; and a host of nieces, nephews and cousins.
Burial was in Bigbee Cemetery with Lavender Funeral Service directing.
Lila Mae Fields
Funeral services for Lila Mae Fields of Ethelsville, were held at 2 p.m. April 15 at Memorial Chapel in Columbus, Miss., with Rev. Charles Young officiating.
She was a retired pants trimmer at Seminole Manufacturing Co.
She was a member of Pine Grove Baptist Church.
She was preceded in death by three brothers, James M. "Jack" Johnson, Curtis D. "Duck" Johnson and Julian W. "Lee" Johnson.
She died April 13 [1999] at her residence at the age of 71. Survivors include two daughters, Cathy Britt and Barbara Bailey, both of Columbus, Miss.; three sisters, Margie Boyles, Mt. Hope, Mary V. Posey, Trinity, and Jeanette Jeffers, Moulton; five grandchildren, Kathy Bolton, Caledonia, Kimberly Williford, Ethelsville, Samuel "Bubba" Britt, Todd Bailey and Cody Bailey, all of Columbus, Miss.; and a great-grandchild Bryer Bolton, Caledonia, Miss.
Pallbearers were Danny Johnson, Paul Johnson, Kenneth Johnson, Lynn Johnson, Jackie Johnson, Jimmy Boyles, Bobby Boyles and Dennis Posey.

Abraham Gandy
Funeral services for Abraham Gandy were held at 11 a.m. April 10 at the Assembly of Divine Reality in Tuscaloosa, with Elder Marvin J. Odell presiding.
He was a native of Lawrenceville, Pa. and attended the Pittsburgh Public Schools.
He served in the U.S. Air Force and retired from the Armed Forces after 20 years.
He moved to Tuscaloosa and was employed by B. F. Goodrich for 21 years.
He also attended Shelton State Community College and was a member of the Assembly of Divine Reality Inc.
He died April 1 [1999] at the age of 64.
Survivors include his wife Dorothy Boone Gandy; six children, Abraham Gandy, Jr., Colorado, Sherri Ann Gandy Watts, Springfield, Mass., Terri M. Gandy Hall, Newark, NJ, Synette Gandy, Birmingham, Alan Louis Gandy and Jacqlynn Gandy, both of Tuscaloosa; one brother Edward Gandy, Pittsburgh, Pa.; nine grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; and a host of nieces and nephews.

Grady Jones
Funeral services for Grady Jones, Sr. were held at 1 p.m. April 14 at Providence MB Church with Rev. Robert Moore officiating.
He was a native of Pickens County and was a member of Providence Baptist Church.
He worked as a contractor for more than 50 years and was a veteran of the U.S. Army.
He died April 9 [1999] at Baptist Memorial Hospital at the age of 80.
Survivors include his wife Katherine Stewart Jones; 10 children, Maezette Pruitt, Rose Coley, Beverly Blevins, Sandra Young, all of Tuscaloosa, Stanley Jones, Birmingham, Linda Lash, Tacoma, Wash., Jean Lanier, Grady Jones, Jr., Doris J. Jones and Janice Young, all of Columbus, Miss.; brother Earlie Jones, Detroit, Mich.; a sister Arnell Harris, Clanton; mother-in-law Rose Davis, Bossien City, La.; stepmother Mrs. Charleston, Clanton; 24 grandchildren; and 15 great-grandchildren.

V. E. "Gene Kealhofer
Funeral services for V. E. "Gene" Kealhofer, a longtime resident of Franklinton, La., and a former resident of Reform, were held at 10 a.m. April 12 at the Crain Funeral Home Chapel in Franklinton with Rev. John Gilbert and Rev. Karl Tingle officiating.
He was a retired superintendent with Southern Natural Gas Corporation with nearly 50 years of service.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Margaret Simpson Kealhofer, and a son, Michael Leon Kealhofer.
He died April 10 [1999] at Heritage Manor in Hammond, La., at the age of 85.
He is survived by a son and daughter-in-law, James and Dot Kealhofer of Birmingham; two daughters and sons-in-law, Mary Jane and Dale Devall of Baton Rouge, La., and Dixie and Steve Easterling of Bogalusa, La.; 12 grandchildren and 17 great-grandchildren. Local survivors include sisters-in-law Kate S. Masters, Reform, and Nell S. Golden, Columbus, Miss.; niece, Daisy Floyd, Gordo; and sister-in-law Carolyn C. Simpson.

He was a member of Pickensville United Methodist Church and was a resident of Hattisburg, Miss., since 1968.
During and after World War II, he worked with the Atomic Energy Commission in Oak Ridge, Tenn. and Arco, Idaho.
He died April 9 [1999] at Overland Regional Medical Center in Overland, Kan. at the age of 87.
Survivors include his wife Mary Eleanor McLellan, Hattisburg, Miss.; one daughter Rita Cheryl Peterson, Philadelphia, Miss.; one son, Thomas Roy McLellan III, Stilwell, Kan.; two sisters, Kathryn Nicholson, Mobile, and Anna Belle Holliman, Shuqualak, Miss.; four grandchildren, Thomas Roy McLellan IV, William Brady Peterson III, Lisa Cheryl Peterson and Emily Kathleen McLellan.

He was an Army veteran of World War II where he received the Purple Heart.
He was a member of the Gordo Masonic Lodge No. 564.
He was retired from Westinghouse Corporation.
He died April 16 [1999] at DCH Regional Medical Center at the age of 77.
Survivors include his wife Ruthie Mae Shepherd, Gordo; two daughters and sons-in-law, Delphia and Mike Brown, Gordo, and Diane and Kent Roberts, Mabelton, Ga.; two sisters, Lorene Hitt, Tuscaloosa, and Jo Ann Latham, Gordo; two brothers, John Shepherd, Lineville, and Billy Shepherd, Amory, Miss.; grandchildren, Kevin and Lori Roberts, Michael and Kim Brown, Michelle and Mike O'Neal, Brad and Rebecca Roberts, Kristi Roberts and Ed Vance; four great-grandchildren, Corey O'Neal, Preston O'Neal, Kyle Roberts and McKenzie Brown; and a number of nieces and nephews.
