Mrs. Willie L. Butler, 79, of Marianna, Fla., passed away Thursday, Aug. 1, 2002, in the Chipola Nursing Pavilion in Marianna. She was a native of Jackson County and a member of McChapel A.M.E. Church. Funeral services will be held 1 p.m. Sunday with the Rev. Philmore Hayes officiating. Internment will follow in the church cemetery under the direction of Christian Memorial Chapel of Graceville. The body will lie in state at the church one hour prior to the services.
Mrs. Mary E. Akers, 74, of Ozark died Thursday morning, Aug. 1, 2002, at her home following an extended illness.
