Walker

Cora Helen Isbell Walker of Albertville died on July 9, 2003, at Marshall Medical Center.

A memorial service will be held Sunday, July 13, at 2 p.m. at the First United Methodist Church of Albertville. The Revs. Bill Etheridge and Cliff Moore will officiate.

Dombic

Lillian Dombic of Albertville died July 10, 2003, at Marshall Medical Center South.

Funeral services will be Sunday, July 13, at Boaz Carr Funeral Home Chapel with interment in Hillcrest Cemetery. The family will receive friends from noon until the time of the service.

Rhoades

Billy Joe Rhoades, 66, of Albertville, died July 7, 2003, at his residence.

Funeral services will be today, Saturday, July 12, at 1 p.m. at Adams Funeral Home Chapel with burial in Gethsemane Cemetery. Bro. Lonnie Craft will officiate with Adams Brown Service Funeral Home directing.

Breaseale

Howard J. Breaseale, 80, of Tuscaloosa and formerly of Albertville, died July 9, 2003.

Funeral services were held Friday at 11 a.m. at Albertville Funeral Home with interment in Douglas Cemetery. The Rev. John Hunt officiated with Albertville Funeral Home directing.

Gilliland

The Rev. Jesse Allen Gilliland, 102, of Boaz died July 9, 2003, at his residence.

Funeral services were Friday, July 11, at 11 a.m. at Albertville Memorial Chapel with burial in Marshall Memorial Gardens. The Revs. Bob Pruitt and Scott Bryant officiated, with Albertville Memorial Chapel directing.

Duff

John Duff, Jr., 81, of Albertville died July 9, 2003, at his residence.

Funeral services will be today, Saturday, July 12, 2003, at The Christ Episcopal Church in Albertville with burial at the United States Naval Academy in Annapolis, Md. The Rev. John Carlisto will officiate with Adams Brown Service Funeral Home directing.

Mayo

Fred Walter Mayo, 89, of Albertville, died July 9, 2003 at Huntsville Hospital.

Funeral services will be today, Saturday, July 12, at Adams Funeral Home Chapel with burial in Myrtletree Cemetery. Visitation will be from 9:30 a.m. until the time of the service.

Holcomb

Hoyt Holcomb, 83, of Albertville died July 10, 2003 at Marshall Medical Center South.

Funeral services will be today, Sunday, July 13, at 11 a.m. at Albertville Memorial Chapel with burial in Memory Hill Cemetery. The Revs. Phil Willingham and Wayne Roden will officiate with Albertville Memorial Chapel directing. Music will be provided by Kim Gardner.

Oliver

Bobby Oliver, 68, of Albertville, died July 10, 2003, at Gadsden Regional Medical Center.

Funeral services will be today, Saturday, July 12, at Albertville Memorial Chapel with burial in Marshall Memorial Gardens. The Rev. Willis Kelly will officiate with Albertville Memorial Chapel directing.

Hamlin

William Craiton Hamlin, 78, of High Point Community, died Friday, July 11, 2003, at Baptist Medical Center, DeKalb.

Services were Sunday, July 13, at Pine Grove Church with burial in the adjoining cemetery. W. T. Wilson Funeral Chapel directed.

Survivors include daughters and sons-in-law, Tijuana and Terry Wright of High Point and Mayla and Reggie Bell of Ft. Payne; son and daughter-in-law, Craiton and Cindy Hamlin of High Point; sisters, Callie Bonden, Frances Ellison and Eura Mae Kilgore, all of Delta; brother, Wayne Hamlin of Delta; 13 grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Mildred Eulene Clifton Hamlin.

Duke

Lucille Duke, 80, of Boaz, formerly of Geraldine, died Sunday, July 13, 2003 at Riverview Regional Medical Center in Gadsden.

Services will be today, July 15, at W. T. Wilson Funeral Chapel with the Rev. James D. Hill officiating. Burial will follow at Fairview Cemetery with W. T. Wilson Funeral Home directing.

Survivors include son and daughter-in-law, Robert and Debrah Duke of Boaz; sisters, Margie Thomas of Anniston and Barbara Arnold of Georgia and brother, Gordon Brown of Gadsden.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Howard Duke.

Harris

Annie Odell Harris, 86, of Boaz, died Saturday, July 12, 2003.

Graveside services were Monday, July 14, at Hillcrest Cemetery with the Rev. Glen Mason officiating. Albertville Memorial Chapel directed.

Survivors include daughters and sons-in-law, Ruby Echols of Boaz; Barbara and Dave Jones of Boaz; Sally and Ronnie Lee of Attalla; sons and daughter-in-law, Gerald and Louise Harris of Albertville, Butch and Diane Harris of Horton and James and Joy Harris of Rainbow City; 19 grandchildren and 32 great-grandchildren.

Ridenour

Ila Martin Ridenour, 78, of Rainsville, died Thursday, July 10, 2003, at her residence.

Services were Saturday, July 12, at Rainsville Funeral Home Chapel with the Revs. David Martin and Nicky Harcrow officiating. Burial followed in Rainsville Memorial Park with Rainsville Funeral Home directing.

Survivors include son, Rev. David Martin of Florida; daughter, Wanda Tomlinson of Fyffe; sister, Wynell Womcak of Sylvania; five grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.

Pallbearers were David Benjamin Martin, Nathan Tomlinson, Roger Womack, Dennis Parker, Phillip Stuart and Dwight Tomlinson.

Dooley

Robert Dooley, 42, of Kilpatrick, died Friday, July 11, 2003.

Services were Sunday, July 13, at Albertville Funeral Home with the Rev. Ray McAllister officiating. Burial followed at Douglas Cemetery. Albertville Funeral Home directed.

A member of Welcome Home Baptist Church, Mr. Dooley was a carpenter.

Survivors include mother, Dean Bennett of Kilpatrick; brother and sister-in-law, Gary Lynn and Shirley Cook Dooley of Attalla; sisters and brother-in-law, Regina Grace Bennett of Aroney and Lisa Marie and Jesse Barrentine of Kilpatrick; grandmother, Ona May Dooley of Attalla; special friend, Tom Hildabrand.

Pallbearers were Jesse Barrentine, Anthony Malone, Josh Rice, Tom Hildabrand, Danny Snow, Ray Burnum.

Honorary pallbearers were Scotty Barrentine, Tommy and Tyson Hildabrand.

Parker

Chester Parker, 60, of Albertville, died Saturday, July 12, 2003.

Services were Monday, July 14, at Albertville Funeral Home with burial in Rehobeth Cemetery. The Revs. Lynn Parker, Russell Pinyan and Benny Burke officiated.

A retired apartment manager, he was a Baptist and attended Solid Rock Baptist Church. He was a Master Mason in Washington.

Survivors include wife, Shirley Parker; daughter and son-in-law, Tracey and Jason Maples of Albertville; foster daughter, Sandy Johnston; brothers, Lynn and John Parker of Alabertville; sisters, Pat Stewart of Albertville, Nancy Murphy and Vickie Mathis of Crossville and Debbie McGuire of Boaz; two grandchildren and three foster grandchildren.

Pallbearers were John Painter, Phillip Cox, Jonathan Stewart, David Snell, Patrick Cochran, Mike Zeus, Jesse and Roger Perry.

Silvers

Lavell Silvers, 82, of Sardis, died Friday, July 11, 2003.

Services were Sunday, July 13 at Albertville Funeral Home with burial at Anniston Memory Gardens. The Revs. Wesley Garner and Jackie Langford officiated. Albertville Funeral Home directed.

Survivors include daughter, Joyce Baird of Sardis; sister, Imogene Breedwell of Boaz; special sister-in-law, Millie Phillips of Boaz; two grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.

Pallbearers were Jason Baird, Mike Davis, Larry Miller, Jimmy Jenkins, Jimmy Miller and Michael Smith.

Araiza

Antonio Martin Araiza, 34, of Horton, died Friday, July 11, 2003.

Rosary was Sunday, July 13, at Albertville Funeral Home with burial in Mexico. Albertville Funeral Home directed.

A Catholic, Mr. Araiza was a poultry laborer.

Survivors include wife, Julisa Rodriguez Araiza of Horton; father, Antonio Silva Araiza of Mexico; and mother, Maria Guadalupe Silva of Mexico.

Abel

John Francis Abel, Jr., 80, died Friday, July 11, 2003, at his residence.

Graveside services will be today, July 15, at 10 a.m. at Rock Springs Cemetery. Boaz Carr Funeral Home will direct.

Survivors include wife, Grace M. Abel; daughter, Bonnie J. Walker; sons, John F. Abel, III, David L. Abel, Douglas A. Abel, Aaron C. Abel; sister, Nelly Jean Depiece and three grandchildren.

Dombik

Lillian Dombik, 83, died Thursday, July 10, 2003, at Marshall MedicalCenter South.

Services were Sunday, July 13, at Boaz Carr Funeral Home Chapel with burial in Hillcrest Cemetery. Boaz Carr Funeral Home directed.

Survivors include a sister, Mary Hood, and several nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Frank Dombik.
