A graduate of Geraldine High School and Nashville Business College, he grew up in the Whiton community. He was a merchant, farm equipment dealer, farmer and cattleman. He attended Geraldine First United Methodist Church and Albertville First United Methodist Church.

Graveside services were Sunday Jan. 11, at Smith Chapel Cemetery with the Rev. Jimmy Smith officiating. Etowah Memorial Chapel directed.
A homemaker, she was a member of Smith Chapel Methodist Church, born in Mineral Wells, Texas, on Nov. 28, 1917.
Stoner
Raymon E. Stoner, formerly of Sand Mountain, died Thursday, Jan. 8, 2004, at his residence in Huntsville.
Graveside services were Sunday, Jan. 11, at Faith Memorial Park. Laughlin Service Funeral Home directed.
Retired from the United States Marine Corp after 20 years, he served in the Vietnam Conflict and earned many medals including the Purple Heart and Bronze Star. He was inducted into the Madison County Hall of Heroes in 1997. He worked for NASA after service retirement and also retired from Boeing.
