Thomas Pruitt Jr., 88, of Thomasville died July 13, 2004 at St. Vincent’s Hospital.
He was born in Pine Hill. He was a member of the Thomasville United Methodist Church. He had worked as a former lumber sales manager.
Survivors include one son, James Thomas Pruitt, Orrville; one daughter, Judith Knight, Birmingham; one half-brother, Billy Pruitt, Florida; one half sister, Louise Patterson, Marietta, Ga.; five grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren.
The service was held July 15 at 2 p.m. at the chapel of O’Bryant Chapel Funeral Home with Rev. Philip Craddock officiating. Burial was in the Choctaw Corner Cemetery in Thomasville.

Stephens
Willie Viola Stephens, 99, of Meridian, Miss. died July 9, 2004 at Beverly Health Care - Broadmoor.
She had been a homemaker.
Survivors include one daughter-in-law, Edwina Stephens, Montgomery; eight grandchildren; Linda Stephens, Grove Hill, Joshua Stephens, Montgomery, Debbie Hill, Dixons Mills, Julie Stephens Vise, Alabaster, Cindy Clark, Diane Johnson, Dana Peavy and David Stephens, all of Meridian, Miss.; 18 great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandchild; several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Dave J. Stephens, three sons, E. Cooper Stephens, William Joshua Stephens and David J. Stephens.
The service was held July 12 at 3 p.m. at the Shiloh Baptist Church with Revs. Micah Gandy and Daniel Gandy officiating. Burial was in the Shiloh Baptist Church Cemetery in Dixons Mills. O’Bryant Chapel Funeral Home directed.

Lane
Randolph "Randy" Lane, 45, of Wagarville died July 17, 2004 at the Washington County Infirmary in Chatom.
He was a native of Macon, Ga. Prior to his illness he had worked for Nichols Insulators.
Survivors include his wife, Connie W. Lane, Wagarville; his parents, Robert and Ola Mae Funderburk, Wagarville; two brothers, Forrest and Wesley Lane, Buena Vista, Ga.; one sister, Norma Murphy, Wagarville, Lueneal Pugh, Chilton.
The service was held July 19 at 11 a.m. at the chapel of Lathan Funeral Home. Burial was in the Fairhope Baptist Church Cemetery in Chatom.

Norris
Jimmy Carlton Norris, 56, of Jackson died July 19, 2004 at his residence.
He was a native of Thomasville. He was a retired truck driver from Bailey Trucking.
Survivors include his mother, Earline Skinner, Jackson; one brother, Barry Norris, Jackson; seven sisters, Charlotte Cooper, Murray, Ky., Angie Woodham, Jean Bozeman, both of St. Stephens, Betty Norris, St. Petersburg, Fla., Cathy Wilson, Grove Hill, Debbie Deas, Teresa Skinner, both of Jackson.
The service was held July 20 at 11 a.m. at the chapel of Lathan Funeral Home. Burial was in the Shiloh Cemetery in Marengo County. Lathan Funeral Home directed.
Everhart
Harold Elmer Everhart Sr., 81, of Jackson died July 26, 2004 at a local hospital. He was a native of Lone Wolf, Okla. He was a member of the Forest Avenue Baptist Church in Jackson. He was a veteran of World War II having served in the United States Marines in the Pacific Theater. He was a retired employee of Ciba Geigy Corporation in McIntosh.
Survivors include his wife, Katie Lee Everhart, Jackson; one son, Harold E. Everhart Jr., Jackson; two daughters, Kay E. Burge, Jackson, Fay E. Johnson, Mobile; one brother, Herman J. Everhart, Lone Wolf, Okla.; six grandchildren, Jennifer Pearce, Chris Johnson, Grant Everhart, all of Jackson, Lisa Yokley, Bay Minette, Rhonda Roeder, Joshua Johnson, Mobile; five great-grandchildren.
The service will be held Thurs-day, (today), July 29 at 11 a.m. at the chapel of Lathan Funeral Home with Rev. Don Rushing to officiate. Burial will be in the Trinity Memorial Gardens Cemetery in Jackson. Active pallbearers will be Barry Walker, Bill Walker, Greg Rotch, Steve Williams, Larry Wal-ker, Louis Walker III and Robert Marks. Honorary pallbearers will be the deacons of the Forest Avenue Baptist Church.
Dixon
Harold Elmore Dixon, 74, of Thomasville died July 24, 2004 at his residence.
He was a native of Dixons Mills. He was a member of the Thomasville Baptist Church. He was a veteran. He had worked as a salesman with Dozier Hardware.
Survivors include his wife, Patricia T. Dixon, Thomasville; three daughters, Dana Kittleson, Memphis, Tenn., Monica Graham, Birmingham, Deadra "DeDe" Roberts, Decatur; two brothers, Jimmie Edward Dixon, Dixons Mills, Terrance Lafayette Dixon, Brewton; one sister, Edith Annette Thrash, Heflin; six grandchildren; several nieces and nephews.
The service will be held Thursday, (today), July 29 at 10 a.m. at the Thomasville Baptist Church with Dr. Gary A. Enfinger to officiate. Burial will be held in Evergreen Memorial Gardens in Thomasville. O’Bryant Funeral Home of Thomasville will direct.
In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the St. Jude Childrens Hospital, P.O. Box 318, Memphis, TN 38101.

Elliott R. "Jimmie" Jarman, 84, of Fulton died July 19, 2004 at Washington County Nursing Home.
She was a native of Thomasville. She was a member of the First Baptist Church of Fulton. She had worked as a bookkeeper for Scotch Lumber Company.
Survivors include one son, Jack E. Jarman, Fulton; two daughters, Carolyn Pearce, Mobile, Linda J. Deas, Coffeeville; 13 grandchildren; 32 great-grandchildren.
The service was held July 21 at 3 p.m. at the First Baptist Church of Fulton with Revs. Mike Bedsole and Johnny Gillis officiating. Burial was in the Jarman Family Cemetery in Fulton. O’Bryant Chapel Funeral Home directed.

Jackson
Randall Chester Jackson, 67, of Thomasville died July 22, 2004 at Mobile Infirmary.
He was a member of the Thomasville Bap-tist Church. He attended Southside Baptist Church. He was a veteran of the Vietnam Conflict having served in the United States Army. He was a retired Staff Sergeant in the United States Army.
Survivors include two brothers, Willie M. Jackson, Vivian C. Jackson, both of Thomasville; five sisters, Janice Inez J. Richardson, Olive Branch, Miss., Christine J. Maddox, Sequin, Texas, Lora J. Horn, Sally J. Hilderbrand, both of Thomasville, Betty J. Gregory, Honoraville.
A graveside service with military honors was given by the United States Army of Ft. Rucker July 26 at 11:30 a.m. with the U.S. Army Chaplain officiating. Burial was held in the Choctaw Corner Cemetery in Thomasville. O’Bryant Cha-el Funeral Home directed.
Larrimore
Dr. Roy W. Larrimore, 81, of Thomasville died July 22, 2004 at Mobile Infirmary.
He was a native of Dickinson. He was a member of the Thomasville Baptist Church. He was a veteran having served in the United States Army in World War II. He was a retired medical doctor.
Survivors include his wife, Ramona R. Larrimore, Thoma-sville; one son, David Larrimore, Montgomery; two daughters, Denise Brookshire, Austin, Texas, Nancy Jones, Natchitoches, La.; one sister, Irma Carlson, Michigan; nine grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by a son, Wayne Larrimore.
The service was held July 25 at 2 p.m. at the Thomasville Baptist Church with Dr. Gary A. Enfinger officiating. Burial was in the Magnolia Lawn Cemetery in Grove Hill. O’Bryant Chapel Funeral Home directed.

Jeffrie Cade, 88 of Putnam died July 22, 2004 at Willow Trace Nursing Home in Butler.
Survivors include three sons, George Cade, John Cade and Jeffery Cade, all of Morvin; one daughter, Gwendolyn Anderson, Butler; two sisters, Elois Tate, Mobile, Fannie Cade, Huntington Station, NY; 38 grandchildren; 50 great-grandchildren.
The service was held July 26 at noon at the Gooden Hill Baptist Church of Putnam.
Baugh
Julia Mae Baugh, 96, of Marion died Aug. 17, 2004 at Perry County Nursing Home.
She was a member of Bassett Creek Baptist Church.
Survivors include two sons, William Leo Baugh Jr., Wetumpka, Vernon Baugh, Satsuma; three daughters, Ola Mae Goodman, Satsuma, Joyce Hollingsworth, Green sboro, Vanette Caine, Safford; one sister, Marian Bernhardt, Gulf Breeze, Fla.; 16 grandchildren; 36 great-grandchildren; six great-great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband, William Leo Baugh Sr., two sisters, Christine Cumalander and Flossie Lee Hinson Fredericks.
The service will be held Thursday, (today), Aug. 19 at 11 a.m. at Bassett Creek Baptist Church. Burial will be in the Bassett Creek Baptist Church Cemetery. Lathan Funeral Home will direct.

Harper
R. A. "Bob" Harper Sr., 85, of Jackson, Alabama, died August 16, 2004 at his home. He had been a resident of Jackson since 1964.
Mr. Harper, a former elder and treasurer of the First Presbyterian Church was born in Waycross, Ga., where he was later enshrined in the Ware County Sports Hall of Fame. He attended Presbyterian College on a tennis scholarship, graduating summa cum laude. He served his country in World War II in the United States Navy as a Lt. Commander, pilot and flight instructor. Mr. Harper, a plank owner of the USS Lexington, was decorated several times for duty in the Pacific Theatre.
He left the Navy and became a banker with the First National Bank of Milton, Fla. and retired as President of Merchants Bank of Jackson.
Survivors include three children, Nan Harper, Pensacola Fla., Robert Augustus Harper and wife, Jill, of Tallahassee, Fla., and Betsy Harper of Pensacola; three grandchildren, Robert Augustus Harper, III, Myriah Beth Harper, and Alexandra Rose Harper, of Tallahassee; two brothers, Pinckney L. Harper of Charleston, S.C., and Charles E. Harper, Jr., of Jacksonville, Fla., special friend Louise Boykin of Jackson, numerous nieces and nephews, golfing partners and church family and many other friends.
He was predeceased by his wife, Frances Allen Harper.
Visitation will be held tonight (Thursday) from 6 until 9 p.m. at Lathan Funeral Home in Jackson, Alabama.
The funeral will be held Friday at 11 a.m. in the First Presbyterian Church of Jackson. The body will lie instate at the church for one hour prior to the service.
Interment will be in the Jessie Carter Allen Cemetery in the Allentown Community near Milton, Fla. at 3 p.m. Friday.
Active pallbearers will be Jim Bailey, Sam Hughston, Bud Scogin, Neal Bradley, Grady Bedwell, Joe Bedwell and Craig Scruggs.
Honorary pallbearers will be all members of the session at First Presbyterian Church, Roy Tucker, Captain Billy Lambard, Dan Schmidt, Hubert Bolen, Rhett Payne Sr., and Roy Bedwell.
Pugatch
Irene C. Pugatch, of Salitpa died Aug. 17, 2004 in a Jackson hospital.
She was a member of the Seventh Day Adventist Church of Jackson. She was a longtime employee in the medical field as a technician and nurse both in California and Alabama.
Survivors include five nephews, John L. Carter, Gaines Carter, W. P. Carter, Will Betancourt, L. J. Carter; four nieces, Jo Ann Goodwin, Gloria Hoven, Patricia Malala, Frances Conerly; three sisters-in-law, Inez Carter, Mrs. S. P. Carter, and Mrs. Frank Carter along with other relatives and friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents, six brothers and five sisters.
A memorial service will be held Friday, Aug. 20 at 3 p.m. at the Seventh Day Adventist Church of Jackson. Lathan Funeral home will direct.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to the Seventh Day Adventist Church of Jackson.
Fitzhugh
Earl Lee Fitzhugh, 86, of Thomasville died Sept. 15, 2004 at Thomasville Nursing Home.
He was born in Rankin County, Miss. He was a lifelong member of the Vineland Baptist Church. He was a retired truck driver for MacMillan Bloedel, Inc.
Survivors include two sons, Donald Wayne Fitzhugh, Monroeville, Johnny A. McManus, Houston, Texas; two daughters, Peggy F. Edwards, Aliceville, Sherian F. Sheffield, Grove Hill; one brother, Ollie Fitzhugh, Linden; one sister, Evelyn Pristupa, Atlanta, Ga.; several grandchildren; great-grandchildren; and great-great-grandchildren; nieces; nephews; and other relatives.
The service was held Sept. 18 at 11 a.m. at the chapel of O’Bryant Chapel Funeral Home with Rev. Jim Sowell officiating. Burial was in the Friendship Baptist Church Cemetery in Vineland.
Active pallbearers were Raz Fitzhugh Jr., George Fitzhugh, Terry Smith, Dewayne Smith, Bernard Schroeder and Terry Smyly.

Megginson
Marie B. Megginson, 80, of Thomasville died Sept. 16, 2004 at Mobile Infirmary.
She was a member of the Midway Baptist Church. She was a retired security guard for Scotch Lumber Company.
Survivors include one son, Alfred Thomas Megginson, Thomasville; two daughters, Nancy Odom, Thomasville, Alice Megginson Mooney, Frisco City; 15 grandchildren; 20 great-grandchildren; five great-great-grandchildren.
The service was held Sept. 18 at 2 p.m. at Midway Baptist Church with Revs. Sammie Daniels and Rex Jackson officiating. Burial was in the Midway Baptist Church Cemetery in Thomasville. O’Bryant Chapel Funeral Home directed.

Sadie Doris Raybon Robertson, 73, of Fulton died Sept. 13, 2004 at her residence.
She was a member of the Liberty Baptist Church. She was a homemaker.
Survivors include two daughters, Deborah Ann Robison, Fulton, Wanda R. Drinkard, Fulton; one sister, Vera Campbell, Puerto Rico; five grandchildren; one great-grandchild.

Sheehan
James Michael Sheehan, 55, of Thomasville died Sept. 17, 2004 at DCH Regional Medical Center in Tuscaloosa.
He was a native of Selma. He served on the Thomasville Water Board. He was a member of the Thomasville Volunteer Fire Department, Fraternal Order of Police and Thomasville Baptist Church. He was assistant principal of Camden Art and Technical School.
Survivors include his wife Pamela A. Sheehan; one son, Jonathan Sheehan, his mother, Callie D. Sheehan, all of Thomasville; one sister, Pat Rivers, Grand Bay; one brother, Bob Sheehan, Tuscaloosa; two nephews; one niece.
The service was held Sunday, Sept. 19 at 2 p.m. at the Thomasville Baptist Church with Dr. Gary A. Enfinger officiating. Burial was in the Choctaw Corner Cemetery in Thomasville. O’Bryant Chapel Funeral Home directed.

Williams
Charles Weldon Williams, 77, of Mobile died Sept. 16, 2004 at Providence Hospital in Mobile.
He was a loving husband and brother. He was an active member of Cottage Hill Baptist Church for the past 41 years. He was a retired accountant with Southern Industries. He served in the Navy aboard the USS Alabama at the end of World War II. He was past president of the Mystic Society.
Survivors include his wife, Nan Huckabee Williams, Mobile; two brothers, Ralph Williams, Hayward, Calif., Ottis Williams, Atlanta, Ga.; two sisters, Wilda Deloris Williams, Ruth Murphey, both of Mobile.
He was preceded in death by his father, Hardy Oliver Williams; his mother, Nora Hemphill Williams; two brothers, Elvin Williams and Kenneth Williams.
A graveside service was held Sept. 20 at 11 a.m. in the Sweet Water Cemetery with Dr. Douglas Turner officiating. O’Bryant Chapel Funeral Home directed.
