Edward Coy Black - Formerly of U. S. Hwy 231 South, Arab was born in Marshall County, Alabama, January 15, 1929. He was the Son of Roy Black and Elsie Otwell Black; was married to the Late Iris Maxine Hulsey Black; she died April 24, 1998; Mr. Black was Retired, a Self Employed, Small Engine Mechanic Repairman; and a member of Joppa United Methodist Church.
Edward is Survived By: a Son: Jerry Black and his Wife: Susan of Arab; One Daughter: Wanda Yates and her Husband: Charlie of Summit; 2 Daughters-In-Law: Phyllis Black and Joni Black both of Arab; 5 Grandchildren, 3 Great Grandchildren; One Sister: Pauline Johnson of Arab; and was Preceded In Death By: 2 Sons: James Black and Ronnie Black; a Daughter: Iris Black and by his Parents: Roy and Elsie Black.

Service for Mr. Mason will be conducted at 11 a.m. Tuesday, January 22, 2008 here at Heritage Memorial Chapel with Randy L. Blakely officiating, Heritage Memorial Chapel Directing. Visitation for Mr. Mason will also be here at Heritage Memorial Chapel on Monday, January 21, 2008 from 6 to 8 p.m.

Perry Lee Mason was born in the State of Alabama, in Marshall County, July 25, 1959; the Son of Leon Allen Mason and Lovella Ann Baker Mason. He was a Life Long Resident of Arab and a member of New Canaan Baptist Church.

Service for Mr. Forrester was conducted, at 2 p.m. Monday, January 21, 2008 here at Heritage Memorial Chapel, Brother Ken Tyler, officiating, Heritage Memorial Chapel Directing. Burial was in the Gilliam Springs Cemetery. Visitation was also here at Heritage Memorial Chapel from 6 to 8 p.m. Sunday, January 20, 2008.
Pallbearers were: Phillip Forrester, Sean Forrester, William Forrester, George Habersetzer, Mark Kennemer, Matthew Kennemer, Wesley Posvar and John Smith.
Leonard Olis Forrester was born in Marshall County, Alabama April 17, 1915, the son of Thomas E. Forrester and Mattie Pack Forrester. He was married to Una Forrester (She was born Jan 14, 1918 and died March 23, 1996). Mr. Forrester was a self employed Farmer and a Member of Arab Church of Christ.
Mr. Forrester is Survived By: Two Sons: Maurice Edward Forrester and his Wife: Janice of Mississippi, Leonard Ray Forrester and his Wife: Nancy of Guntersville; Three Daughters: Linda Jones and her Husband: Eugene and Anita Posvar and her Husband: Jim all of Arab and Sandra Kay Kennemer and her Husband: Jerry of Lacey's Spring; 11 Grandchildren and 10 Great Grandchildren.

Myra Nell Short Williams - age 96 - previously of North Main Street, Arab, died Monday, April 14, 2008, in the Marshall Manor Nursing Home in Guntersville, where she had resided since 2006. Service for Mrs. Williams will be conducted Wednesday, April 16, 2008 at 1:00 p.m. here at Heritage Memorial Chapel. Burial will be in Arab Memorial Cemetery. Mrs. Williams was born on May 23, 1911, in Marshall County, to Robert and Jessie Short. She was preceded in death by her husband, John N. Williams. She was a member of the Arab Church of Christ.
Mrs. Williams is survived by her sons and daughters-in-laws, Robert and Sandra Graves, Tony and Lisa Williams, and Johnny Williams; her daughters and sons-in-laws, Dana and Billy Cochran, Glenda and Lewis Clark, and Dawn and Verlon Haga; and 13 grandchildren.

She had lived in the Arab area since 1940, was a homemaker for her family, and the widow of the late Orban Benson, who died November 4, 1954. She was a member of Union Hill F.C.M. Church.
Mary Ellen Benson is survived by three sons and daughters-In-Law: Eddie Joe & Glenda Benson of Arab, Donald R. & Shelba Benson of Maylene, Alabama, and Kenneth W. & Judy Benson of Arab; three daughters and sons-In-Law: Evelyn & Ray Claborn of Arab, Linda Gail & Bill Black of Florence, South Carolina, Brenda Faye & Lee Ewart of Sylva, North Carolina and son-In-Law: Marlin Clemons of Arab; 17 Grandchildren, 21 Great Grandchildren; Two sisters: Margie Nell Fortenberry of Arab and Lydia Louise Rice of Detroit, Michigan and was preceded In death by a daughter: Joyce Ann Clemons and by her parents: Major & Rebecca Thompson.

Jesse F. Dunn was born in the State of Alabama, in Morgan County, July 17, 1944 the Son of Denver Deluth "Jack" Dunn and Willie Mae Collins Dunn. He was married to the former Gail Dodd (Dunn) who died November 19, 2004. Jesse had worked for Bobby Collins Logging Company as a Truck Driver for the past 8 years.
Jesse Dunn is survived by: Two Sons: Jesse F. Dunn, Jr. and his Wife: Sonji of Hartselle and Jesse D.
