He was a 1963 graduate of Arab High School, served his Country in the United States Navy; he was a car salesman; a member of Ruth Baptist Church and enjoyed playing golf.

Travis Chambers was born in the State of Alabama, in Morgan County June 25, 1943, the Son of J. B. Chambers and Noler Smith Chambers. He was married to the former Sherrie Cone, his bride of 34 years; served his Country in the United States Army during the Viet Nam War and was also a member of the Arab National Guard; he was a member of Simcoe Masonic Lodge and had retired in 2007 as owner/operator of Chambers Plastering and Exterior Coating Company Incorporated.

Service for Cindy was conducted at 11:00 a.m. Thursday, May 22, 2008 at the Mount Hermon Baptist Church, in Cullman County. Brother Randy Milligan, officiating. Burial was in the adjoining cemetery with Heritage Memorial Chapel, directing. Visitation for Cindy was Wednesday, May 21, 2008 at Heritage Memorial Chapel from 6 to 8 p.m. She also Lied-In-State at the Church the day of the service from 10 to 11.
Cindy is the wife of Jerry Self of the Arab Police Department.

Cindy Self was born in the State of Alabama, in Cullman County, June 4, 1963, the daughter of Jay W. Carroll and Ann Yeager Carroll.
