Earline P. Arnold Grimmer died Friday, Dec. 6, 2002, at Wesley Manor in Dothan following an extended illness. She was 89. She had been a resident at Wesley Manor for seven years. Graveside services will be 3 p.m. Sunday at Selma Baptist Church Cemetery on South Park Street in Dothan with the Rev. Lynn Nesbitt officiating and Ward-Wilson Funeral Home of Dothan directing. Visitation with the family will be held one hour before the graveside service at Ward-Wilson Funeral Home in Dothan.

Mrs. Josie Ludell Jackson of School House Street in Cottonwood died Saturday, Nov. 30, 2002, at Southeast Alabama Medical Center in Dothan. She was 80. Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. today at Snowhill A.M.E. Methodist Church in Malone, Fla., with Kent-Thornton-Meadows Funeral Home directing. Officiating will be the Rev. Lonnie Mills. Interment will be held at the Snowhill A.M.E. Church cemetery. Active pallbearers will be Quintin Brown, Thomas Glanton, Chris Trawick, Nicholas Calhoun, Maurice Snelling and Daniel Honor.

Nathaniel (Boyd) Jones, a resident of Peachtree Street in Headland, died Thursday, Dec. 5, 2002, at his residence. Funeral arrangements are incomplete, but will be annouced later by Headland Peoples Funeral Home, 693-2855.

Willye Reeves Andress Marcelius of Daleville died Thursday, Dec. 5, 2002, at her home in Daleville. She was 87. The funeral will be 10:30 a.m. today at First United Methodist Church of Daleville with the Rev. John McCullough officiating. A 3 p.m. graveside service will follow at Green wood Cemetery in Montgomery with the Rev. John Ed Mathison officiating and Searcy Funeral Home directing. In lieu of flowers, remembrances may be made to the First United Methodist Church of Daleville, Ala., or Capital Heights United Methodist Church of Montgomery.

Rex W. Mixson of Enterprise died Thursday, Dec. 5, 2002, in Flowers Hospital in Dothan. He was 82. The funeral will be 10 a.m. today at St. Luke United Methodist Church, with the Rev. Glenn Butler officiating. Burial will be in the Enterprise City Cemetery with Searcy Funeral Home directing. In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorials be made to: St. Luke United Methodist Church, 201 Heath Street, Enterprise, Ala., 36330, or to the charity of your choice.

Gretchen "Sue" Smith of P.C. Black Road in Geneva died Thursday morning, Dec. 5, 2002, at Flowers Hospital. She was 55. Byrd Funeral Home is in charge of local arrangements.

Sadie M. Thomley of Thomley Road in Wicksburg passed away Friday, Dec. 6, 2002, at her residence. She was 81. Funeral services will be 2 p.m. Monday at Kent-Thornton-Meadows Funeral Home with Brother Buddy Hood and Brother Scott Cox officiating. Burial will follow at Memory Hill Cemetery with Kent-Thornton-Meadows Funeral Home directing. The family will receive friends from 3-5 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home. At other times the family will be at the home of her granddaughter, Laura Riverbark, 920 Thomley Road. Elinor Owens Vickers of Pinar Health Center in Orlando, Fla., passed away Wednesday, Dec. 4, 2002. She was 93. Graveside services will be 10 a.m. today at Ashford City Cemetery in Ashford with the Rev. Daniel Randall officiating and Kent-Thornton-Meadows Funeral Home directing. In lieu of flowers, the family asks memorial contributions be made to the Alzheimer’s Resource Center, P.O. Box 1170, Dothan, Ala., 36302.

James G. (Gregg) Watson of South Park Avenue in Dothan passed away Thursday, Dec. 5, 2002. He was 48. Funeral services will be 11 a.m. Monday at Kent-Thornton-Meadows Funeral Home. Burial will follow at Shady Grove Assembly of God Church in Baker, Fla. The family will receive friends from 3-5 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home.

Robert Earl Beacham, 51, of 111 Williams Drive, Midland City, died Friday, July 26, 2002, at Flowers Hospital. Funeral services will be held 2 p.m. Saturday at Shiloh Baptist Church with the Rev. W. F. Morris officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery with Byrd Funeral Home directing. Mr. Beacham will be placed in the church one hour prior to service time Saturday.

Emmett Robert Salter Jr., 85, of Evergreen, Ala., died Tuesday, July 30, 2002, at Evergreen Nursing Home. Funeral services will be 2 p.m. today at Hamden Ridge Baptist Church with the Rev. Lavon Salter officiating. Burial will follow at Hamden Ridge Cemetery with Cope Funeral Home of Evergreen directing.

Mrs. Myrtiss B. Boylston, 75, of 301 W. Hickory Bend, Enterprise, died Tuesday, July 30, 2002, at Extendicare Hospice Service Facilities in Dothan after a brief illness. Funeral services will be 10 a.m. Saturday from the Patterson-Sorrells Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Jim Duhaime officiating. Burial will follow in the Meadowlawn Cemetery with Patterson-Sorrells Funeral Home directing. The family will receive friends from 6-8 p.m. Friday at the funeral home.

William Earl Henderson, 60, of 127 Tallent Court, Dothan, died Tuesday, July 30, 2002, at Southeast Alabama Medical Center. Funeral services will be held 10 a.m. today in the chapel of Bottoms Garden Chapel Funeral Home of Hartford with the Rev. Eddie Littlefield officiating. Mrs. Mary Frances Baker Culbreth, 77, of Dothan died July 30, 2002, at her home. Graveside services will be 10 a.m. Friday at Memory Hill Cemetery with the Rev. Jim Corley and the Rev. Troy West officiating. The family will receive friends from 6-7 p.m. today at Kent-Thornton Funeral Home. Frederick Richardson, 53, of 4860 Versey Lane, Marianna, Fla., passed away Tuesday morning, July 30, 2002, at his residence. He was a native of New Jersey. Funeral services will be 1p.m. Monday at the Beulah Grove Baptist Church in Orange, N.J. Internment will follow in Rose Hill Cemetery. Raymond William Tew, 80, of Bonifay, Fla., passed away Tuesday, July 30, 2002, at Wiregrass Hospital in Geneva. Funeral services will be 11 a.m. today at First Baptist Church in Bonifay with the Rev. James F. Campbell Sr., 80, of Eufaula died Monday, July 29, 2002, at his home. Funeral services will be 10:30 a.m. CDT Friday at Chapman Funeral Home Chapel in Eufaula. Graveside services will be 1 p.m. Thursday at Sykes Creek Baptist Church Cemetery with the Rev. Randy Adams officiating and Keahey Funeral Home of Clio directing. Visitation will from 6-8 p.m. today at the funeral home.

Mary Nell Duncan, known for her crafts, of Enterprise died Tuesday, Oct. 15, 2002, at her home in Enterprise. She was 70. The funeral will be 2 p.m. Thursday at the chapel of Searcy Funeral Home with Dr. Ted Satterfield and the Rev. Hollis Bradley officiating. Burial will be in Meadowlawn Cemetery with Searcy Funeral Home directing. Visitation will be from 6-8 p.m. today at the funeral home.

Samuel F. Ellison of Webb died early Tuesday morning, Oct. 15, 2002, at his home after an extended illness. He was 69. Funeral services will be 10 a.m. Thursday at Holman-Headland Mortuary Chapel with the Rev. Wallace M. Duke and the Rev. James A. Rich officiating. Judith Adkins Loggins of Pensacola died Monday, Oct. 14, 2002. She was 47. The funeral service will be held 11 a.m. today at Harper-Morris Memorial Chapel with the Rev. John Spencer of Calvary Chapel of Gulf Breeze officiating. Burial will follow at Bayview Memorial Park Cemetery. Visitation will be from 10-11 a.m. today at the funeral home. The family wishes to express their heartfelt appreciation to Dr. Frank Andrews, the Oncology Department, and the nursing staff at Baptist Hospital for their care and compassion. John Quinton (Jeff) Skeen, a resident of Westside Terrace in Dothan, formerly of Abbeville, died early Tuesday afternoon, Oct. 15, 2002, in Westside Terrace. He was 81.
