Ray was born on Feb. 22, 1942, in Chilton County, the daughter of the late Henry Harrison Mull and the late Alfie Scott Mull. She was a homemaker. She died at her residence on July 7, 2002.
Survivors include her husband, Willie C. Ray, Jemison; four sons, Roger Dale Ray, Clanton, James William Ray, Thorsby, Ricky Lynn Ray and Frankie Ray, both of Jemison; three sisters, Flora Martin and Bertha Davenport, both of Jemison, Cllazie Lightsey, Talladega; one brother, Charles Mull, Clanton; 10 grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren.
Essie K. Davis: Funeral services for Essie K. Davis, 83, Maplesville, were held at New Convert Baptist Church on Wednesday, July 3, 2002, at noon, with Rev. H.S. Davis officiating.
Burial followed in the New Convert Baptist Church Cemetery in Maplesville, with Agee Brothers Funeral Home directing.
Davis was born on April 24, 1919, in Sunny South to the late Margaret Richardson and Clugard Kennedy. She died on June 28, 2002, at her residence.
Survivors include four children, Maurice, Mardell, Frederick, Mary Emma; and six sisters, Geraldine Boyd, Chicago, Ill., Ruby Johnson, Prentiss, Miss., Bernice Kennedy, Linden, Yvonne Harris, Montgomery, Ruth Harris and Juanita Marshall, both of Thomasville.
Sadie Willis Foshee: Funeral services for Sadie Willis Foshee, 84, Maplesville, were held at Martin Funeral Home Chapel on Monday, July 8, 2002, at 2 p.m., with Rev. George Lee officiating.
Burial will follow at Mt. Nebo Methodist Church Cemetery in Clanton, with Martin Funeral Home directing.
Foshee was born on Dec. 16, 1917, in Chilton County, the parents of the late Martin Joseph Willis and the late Virgie Mims. She was a homemaker. She died on July 6, 2002, at her residence.
Survivors include six daughters, Barbara Giles, Clanton, Virginia Jones, Glenda Roper, Nina Stewart, Becky Roper, all of Maplesville; Diane Clements, Coffee Springs; four brothers, Martin "Rocky" Willis, Joe Willis, Ed Willis, all of Clanton; Bill Willis, Pensacola, Fla.; Eunice Wilson, Maplesville; 10 grandchildren; 21 great-great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandchild. She was preceeded in death by her husband, Allen Foshee, and one brother, Jimmy Willis.

Edith Auburn Morgan: Edith Auburn Morgan, 94 of Columbiana, passed away on Saturday, April 5, 2003. She was born in Alabama on Sunday, Feb. 14, 1909, the daughter to Mr. David Crockett Hand and Mrs. Amanda Levinia Spain Hand. She and her husband founded Wildwood Chapel and she was also known as a minister in her own right.
Funeral services will be held at Charter Funeral Home at 10 a.m. Tuesday, April 8, 2003 with burial in Pinelawn. Rev. Darian Holcombe and Rev. Wayne Bullard will be officiating.
She was preceded in death by her husband Frank Morgan.
Survivors include her three sons, Gary Holcombe (Brenda) of Columbiana, Duane Holcombe (Joan) of Canon, Ga. and Dalwyn Holcombe (Melissa) of Plant City, Fla.; two daughters Yvonne Davis (Chandler) of Montevallo and Sharon Garrison of Columbiana; one sister Veomi Kiinstler of Brantleyville; 11 grandchildren, 21 great-grandchildren and one great-great grandson.

Howard Allen Keener: Howard Allen Keener, 67 of Maplesville passed away Saturday, April 5, 2003. Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Tuesday, April 8, 2003 at Alpine Baptist Church with Rev. Ray Smitherman, Rev. William Earl Short and Rev. Willard Scott officiating. Viewing will be from 1 p.m. to 2 p.m. Burial will follow in Alpine Baptist Church Cemetery.
Mr. Keener was preceded in death by his parents Clint and Lula Kenner and brothers Gordon Keener and Chester Lenoir.
He is survived by his four children Thomas Kenner (Jackie) of Maplesville, Patsy Bishop (Keith) of Calera, Peggy Sewell (Roland) of Prattville and Joe Kenner (Shelia) of Maplesville; brother Paul Kenner (Evelyn) of Maplesville; ten grandchildren Janet Garren, Allen Keener, Michelle Tate, Monica Hutchinson, Timothy Alverson, Brandy Keener, Brittney Keener, Jeremy Sewell, Jessica Kenner and Joshua Sewell; ten great-grandchildren Damon Gans, Trevor Garren, Devin and Skyler Keener, Justin Tate, Jacob, Taz and Adam Hutchinson, Aspen and Alana Alverson. He was also loved by many other relatives and friends.

Mullins was born on April 22, 1922, in Chilton County, the son of the late John Daniel Mullins and the late Bertie Mullins. He was a truck driver. He served in the U.S. Army from Oct. 16, 1942, to Oct. 22, 1945. He died on Sept. 15, 2002, at his residence.
Survivors include two daughters, Wanda Scott, Thorsby, Jenita Smith, Clanton; two sons-in-law, Robert Scott, Thorsby, Larry Smith, Clanton; one son, Ray Mullins, Clanton; one daughter-in-law, Grace Mullins, Clanton; two brothers, Herman Mullins, Birmingham, Carrell Mullins, Calera; one sister, Verlon Deavers, Clanton; three granddaughters, Misti Watley, Erica Smith, Christi Mullins; one grandson, Dale Scott; three great-grandchildren.
