Jeanette P. Henson, 79, of Clanton died Thursday, January 6 at Shelby Baptist Medical Center. She was born Tuesday, May 12, 1925 in Chilton County and is the daughter of the late William Howard Popwell and the late Vennie Bruce.
She was a homemaker.
Survivors include daughter, Mrs. Lesia Lenoir of Maplesville; son, Mr. Cinton Henson of Jemison; two sisters, Mrs. Deloris Hall of Dothan and Mrs. Juanita Thomas of Valpraso, FL; four grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
Services will be held at Martin Funeral Home Chapel today at 2 p.m. Interment will follow in the Chilton Memorial Gardens in Clanton.
Eunice Agnes Gray
Eunice Agnes Gray, 98, of Clanton died Thorsby, January 6 at Shelby Baptist Medical Center. Se was born Thursday, June 14, 1906 in Chilton County and is the daughter of the late Joel Shirley Davis and the late Laura Ann Wilson.
She was a homemaker.
Survivors include four sons, Mr. Earl Gray of Jackson Gap, Mr. Durwood Gray of Clanton, Mr. Charles Gray of Thorsby and Mr. Billy Gray of Clanton; 13 grandchildren, a host of great-grandchildren and a host of great-great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Carl Gray and daughter, Melba Meank.
Services will be held at Martin Funeral Home Chapel today at 11 a.m. with Rev. Doug Powell and Rev. J.T. Meank officiating. Interment will follow in the Bethel Prim. Baptist Cemetery.
Helen J. Moore
Service for Helen J. Moore, 67, of Billingsley, will be held at Bethsalem Baptist Church, Billingsley, Thursday, December 23 at 11 a.m. with Rev. Brad Eubank and Rev. Tony Smitherman officiating.
Burial will follow in the church cemetery.
Friends will be received today at Martin Funeral Home Chapel from 5-8 p.m. Moore died Monday, December 20 in Montgomery.
Survivors include her husband, J. Bruce Moore of Billingsley; two daughters, Janice Gray of Clanton and Carol Smith of Billingsley; brother, Herbert O. Johnson of Birmingham; four sisters, Jean Kebbel of Birmingham, Shirley McGown of Prattville, Erlene Head of Prattville and Diane Spencer of Billingsley; four granddaughters, Stephanie Gray of Clanton, Shannon Wright of Marbury, Emily Edwards of Clanton and Jo Anna Smith of Billingsley; and three great-grandchildren, Cameron Wright, Alivia Wright and Drew Edwards.
Margie Lois Roebuck
Margie Lois Roebuck, 71, of Clanton, died Friday, December 17 in Clanton.
Services are today at Mt. Carmel #2 at 2 p.m. with Rev. Tony Smitherman officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.
Survivors include three sons, Donald Lee Tucker of Sullwan, Missouri, Marvin Thomas Tucker of Granite City, IL and William Emerson Roebuck of Clanton; three daughters, Lucenda Kay Hardiman of Clanton and Marsha Lois Matthews of Marianna, FL and Ruth Ann Holsomback of Montevallo; brother, James "Butch" Biggs of Carlisle, IL; sister, Sylvia Magdalene White of Carlisle, IL; 25 grandchildren and 22 great-grandchildren.
Marjorie Nelson
Services for Marjorie Nelson, 82, of Randolph were held Wednesday, December 22 at Rockco Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Evie Megginson officiating. Burial followed in the Highland Memorial Gardens, Bessemer.
Nelson died Monday, December 20.
Survivors include her husband, Adolph Nelson of Randolph; daughters, Gail Wade of Smith, AL and Vickie Thrasher of Centreville; sons, Donny (Debbie) Nelson of Oxford and Kenny Nelson (Charlotte) of Pleasant Grove; Bill Calloway, Harry Calloway, LaBronze Calloway, Fred Calloway, Helen Dean and Janice Garrison; and seven great grandchildren. Virginia Buntin Sauer
Virginia Buntin Sauer, 89, of Thorsby died Tuesday, December 21 at her residence.
Services were held graveside at Thorsby Memorial Cemetery, December 23 at 1 p.m. with Father Ray Remke officiating.
Survivors included her daughter, Joanne S. Head of Thorsby; granddaughter, Ashley Beavers of Chelsea; grandson, Matt Head of Birmingham; great-grandson, Tucker S. Beavers of Chelsea; niece, Becky Buntin of Georgia; two nephews, Bill Buntin of Albany, GA and Mac Buntin of St. Simons, GA. She was preceded in death by her husband, Richard C. Sauer.
Bertha Adelaide Henderson
Services for Bertha Adelaide Henderson, 87, of Clanton are today at Martin Funeral Home Chapel at 10 a.m. with Rev. Bill Jones officiating. Burial will follow in the Good Hope Baptist Cemetery, Elmore County, Alabama.
Henderson died Thursday, December 23.
Survivors include two daughters, Beth Henderson of Clanton and Martha L. Rennings of Birmingham; son, Harold Henderson of Marietta, GA; three grandchildren, Lori Rennings of Lincoln, Nebraska, Deanna Rennings of Boulder, Colorado and Carin Rennings of Ellicott City, Maryland; three great-grandchildren, Stephen Rennings of Woodbine, Maryland, Quinn Rennings of Lincoln, Nebraska and Kastl Riggins Lanik of Lincoln, Nebraska. She was preceded in death by her husband, Leon J. Henderson.
Maurice L. Benson
Services for Maurice L. Benson, 73, of Thorsby, were held at Martin Funeral Home, Sunday, December 26 at 1 p.m. with Rev. Simon Bussey officiating.
Burial followed in the Collins Chapel Cemetery. Benson died Thursday, December 23 at Chilton Medical Center.
Survivors include his wife, Edith Benson of Thorsby; two step-sons, Ted Patterson and Joe Patterson, both of Thorsby; sister, Jeanette Cleckler of Thorsby; two granddaughters, Carrie and Sabrina Patterson, both of Thorsby.
Faye Roper
Faye Roper, 64, of Maplesville, died December 25 at UAB Hospital. Funeral services were held Monday, December 27 at 2 p.m. at Mulberry Baptist Church with Rev. David Bishop and Rev. Tony Smitherman officiating. Burial followed in Martin Memorial Cemetery. Heritage Chapel of Tuscaloosa directed.
Survivors include her husband, John Roper Sr. of Maplesville; daughter, Cindy Guthas of Thorsby; sons, John Roper Jr. of Clanton, Keith Foshee of Tuscaloosa, Larry Roper of Wetumpka and Ricky Roper of Pinson; brothers, R.T. Carter and William Carter of Clanton; sisters, Geraldean Baker and Virgil Boone, both of Clanton; 11 grandchildren and 4 great-grandchildren. Pallbearers were Phillip Carter, Randall Carter, Oliver Boone, Tim Baker, Mark Knight, William Carter and Mack Carter.
Tommie Louise Higgins
Services for Tommie Louise Higgins, 46, of Montevallo are today at the 16th Street Baptist Church, Calera at 2 p.m. with Rev. Bill Alexander officiating.
Burial will follow in the Salem Cemetery.

Higgins died December 23.
Survivors include her husband, Bruce Higgins; daughter, Bridget Sanders; mother, Bobbie Glass; brother, Gary Glass; two grandchildren, Mason and Hannah Sanders; nephew, Tanner Glass and a host of family and friends.
She was preceded in death by her father, Thomas Glenn Glass.

Burial will follow in the New Harmony Holiness Cemetery, Clanton. Baker died Sunday, December 26. Survivors include his wife, Margaret R. Baker of Billingsley; son, Steve Baker Jr. of Clanton; and three daughters, Sabrina Baker, Shallon Baker and Shelly Baker, all of Clanton.
Lillian Busby Leach
Lillian Busby Leach, 94, of Jemison died Sunday, December 26. Services will be held at Mars Hill Baptist Church, Tuesday, December 28 at 2 p.m. with Rev. Terry Harris and Dr. Kenny Hatcher officiating.
Burial will follow in the church cemetery.
Survivors include her son, Hanson Leach of Jemison; two grandsons, Don Leach of Jemison and Mark Braswell of Madison; granddaughter, Sharon Banniza of Nashville; five great-grandchildren and a number of nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband, A.J. Leach and her daughter, Hazel Braswell.

Services for Bertie Bell Stowe Carter, 78, of Toccoa, Georgia, are today at 11 a.m. at Hillcrest Chapel of Acree-Davis Funeral Home with Revs. Jerrell Roach and Todd West officiating. Burial will follow in the Old Damascus
Baptist Church Cemetery in Long Creek, South Carolina.
Carter died Tuesday, November 16.
