Services for Jesse Lee Carter, 84, of Billingsley, are today, July 8, at 11 a.m. at Indian Grave Baptist Church.
The Rev. David Awtrey and Rev. Mike McLemore will officiate with Martin Funeral Home directing.
Mr. Carter died Tuesday, July 6.
He is survived by his wife, Maudie P. Carter of Billingsley; sons William Jessie Carter of Montgomery, James Carter of Autaugaville and Gerald Carter of Billingsley; a brother, Carroll Shoultz of Selma; a sister, Bernice Johnson of Selma; eight grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
Gladys Oleane Duck
Gladys Oleane Duck, 84, passed away Thursday, July 1 at home.
Services were Sunday, July 4 at 2 p.m. at the home of Dale and Debbie D. Gray, Plantersville with Rev. Rosco Kornegey officiating.
Burial followed in the home place cemetery with Selma Funeral Home directing. Visitation was at the residence of Dale and Debbie D. Gray.
Mrs. Duck is survived by her son, Louie Carl Duck; two daughters, Debbie D. Gray and Thommisene Barnett; six grandchildren, five great-grandchildren, 11 great- great grandchildren, five step grandchildren, one brother, and two sisters.
Mary S. Landry
Services for Mary S. Landry, 90, of Randolph, will be Saturday, July 10, at Randolph Baptist Church at 2 p.m. with Rev. Charles Teague officiating.
Mrs. Landry died July 6 at UAB in Bessemer.
Survivors include her daughter, Diane Steinlage of Hueytown; two grandsons, Steven W. Steinlage of Delaware, OH, and James R. Steinlage of Hueytown; a granddaughter, Andrea Constock of Ft. Lauderdale, FL; two brothers, George W. Smitherman Jr. and John Sutton Smitherman of Randolph; a sister Marguerite Eady of Randolph; a host of nieces, nephews and friends.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Hugh James Landry.
Cheryl Robinson
A memorial service for Cheryl Robinson, 35, of Ft. Walton, FL will be held at Lomax Assembly of God Church on Saturday, July 10 at 3 p.m. with Pastor Jeffrey Calhoun officiating.
Cheryl, a native of Chilton County, died July 4.
Survivors include her daughter, Destynee Kendall Robinson of Thorsby; her parents, Jimmy and Cheryl Robinson of Jemison; sister Cheri McAvoy of Hoover; her brother, Mike Robinson of Jemison; nephews Bailey and Will McAvoy of Hoover; and her grandmother, Vivian Bice of Thorsby.
Forrest Lee Littleton, Jr.
Services for Forrest Lee Littleton Jr., 71, of Birmingham, will be Saturday, July 10, at 1 p.m. at Martin Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Frank Nelson and Rev. Tony Burnett officiating. Mr. Littleton was a retired Master Sergeant with the U.S. Air Force.Littleton died at the VA Hospital in Birmingham. Survivors include his son, Michael W. Spahn of Birmingham; daughter, Karen Godby of Dadeville; two grandsons, Christopher Spahn of Birmingham and Tommy Godby of Dadeville; a brother, Earl Littleton of Jemison; sisters, Flossie Hicks of Daphne and Lola Mae Ellison of Clanton; two great grandchildren, two nieces and a nephew. He was preceded in death by his brother, Robert Littleton.
Molly Belle O. Smith
Services for Molly Belle O. Smith, 92, of Clanton, will be Saturday, July 10, at Mulberry Baptist Church at 11 a.m. with Rev. David Bishop and Rev. Neil Glausier officiating.
Mrs. Smith died July 8 at the Bibb County Nursing Home. Visitation will be today at Martin Funeral Home from 6 to 8 p.m. She is survived by a host of nieces, nephews and friends.
Ella Lorene Hill
Services for Ella Lorene Hill, 87, of Billingsley, will be today, July 11, at Clanton First Baptist Church at 2 p.m. with Rev. Matt DeBord, Rev. Gary Voyles, and Rev. Brad Eubanks officiating. Mrs. Hill died July 9 at Shelby Baptist Medical Center. Survivors include her husband, Rev. Frank A. Hill of Billingsley; her daughter, Juanita Hill of Stafford, TX; a sister, Jennie Cox of Clanton; three grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her sons, Gerald and Lamar Hill.

Services for Clinton Chancse Jones, 18, of Clanton are today, July 11, at Martin Funeral Home Chapel in Clanton beginning at 3 p.m. with Rev. Tony Smitherman and Rev. Jeff Carroll officiating. Burial will follow at Refuge Baptist Church.
Jones died July 9 at Chilton Medical Center.

Survivors include her son, Daniel Robinson of Pleasant Grove; and her sister, Eilene Robinson of Clanton.

Joseph Henry Conway
Services for Joseph Henry "Abe" Conway, 80, a native of Jemison, were held Tuesday, July 6. He was a U.S. Navy veteran of World War II. Conway died July 2. He is survived by his wife, Elizabeth Boone Conway; two sons; a daughter; 12 grandchildren; a great- grandchild; and his brothers and sisters, James, Kent and Jerry Conway and Frances and Avoline as well as a host of nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his first wife, Helen Massie Conway.
Clarence R. Cantley
Graveside Services for Clarence R. Cantley of Wetumpka are Friday, July 16 at 4 p.m. at the Green wood and Serenity Memorial Gardens in Montgomery. Visitation is tonight, July 15, from 6 p.m. until 8 p.m. at the White Chapel-Green wood Funeral Home.
Cantley died Wednesday, July 14.

Floyd Jean Lucas
Services for Floyd Jean Lucas, 62, of Randolph, were Saturday, July 17, at 11 a.m. at Mars Hill Baptist Cemetery with Rev. Mark Lovett and Rev. Terry Harris officiating. Martin Funeral Home directed. Lucas died July 15 at Shelby Baptist Medical Center.
Survivors include his wife, Frances M. Lucas of Randolph; three sons, Edward Palmer, Dale Jackson and Thomas Jackson of Jemison; five daughters, Loreen Faust, Vicki Fletcher and Darlene Wesson of Jemison, Diana Hogg of Calera, and Charlotte Cleckler of Clanton; two brothers, Woodford Lucas of Jemison and James Ray Lucas of Clanton; a sister, Joyce Brown of Jemison; 30 grandchildren, 28 great-grandchildren and three great-great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his son David Lucas.
Mary Catherine Holbrook
Mary Catherine (Katie) Holbrook, age 87, went home to be with Jesus on July 18, 2004. Born in Birmingham and a long time resident there, she was a faithful, active member of First Baptist Church Center Point. She worked as a chemist before her marriage to James William (Bill) Holbrook, Jr. in 1945. She spent the last few years of her life in Clanton and was a member of First Baptist Church Thorsby. Mrs. Holbrook was preceded in death by her husband, Bill. Survivors include children, Gretchen (Ed) Prady, Karen (Jim) Green e, and James William Holbrook, III; grandchildren, Amy Green e, Ken (Marcie) Prady, Lori Holbrook (Gary) Koller, Katherine Green e, Brian (Chris) Prady, and James William (Megan) Holbrook IV; and great granddaughters Erin Prady and Laina Prady.
Services were held at Martin Funeral Home in Clanton on Monday with burial at Jefferson Memorial Cemetery in Trussville. Pastor Von McQueen officiated. Martin Funeral home directed. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society or the First Baptist Thorsby Christian Life Center Building Fund.
