Brian Wayne Isbell, age 17, of Moulton, passed away Tuesday, October 19, 2004, at Lawrence Baptist Hospital after a motor vehicle accident.

Brian was a native of Colbert County but had lived in Lawrence County for the past three months. He was a member of the House of Victory Church. He was preceded in death by his father, John Alan Isbell, Sr.

Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. on Friday, October 22, 2004, at Pinkard Funeral Home chapel in Russellville with Bro. Mike Smith officiating. Interment will be in Pleasant Hill Cemetery.

Pallbearers will be Colby Forester, Billy Moore, B.J. Moore, Robert Rodriguaz, Lyman Rae and Donavan Prestage.

Brian is survived by his mother, Tina Isbell of Moulton; a brother, John Alan Isbell, Jr. of Russellville; a sister, Angie Woodruff of Russellville; his grandparents, Nellie and Burnell Massey of Vina, and Opal Isbell of Tuscumbia; three aunts, Frances Moore and husband Billy, of Tuscumbia, Janie Forester of Russellville, and Elizabeth Rodriguaz of Huntsville; two uncles, Jay Musgrove of Russellville, and Daniel Guthrie of Sarasota, Florida; a niece, Chyenne Jones; five cousins, Colby Forester, B.J. Moore, Jessica Musgrove, Robby Rodriguaz, and Ryan Moore; and the love of his life, Kasie Wilson of Russellville.

Robert Venard Rambo, age 69, of Russellville, passed away Tuesday, October 19, 2004, at Russellville Hospital.

Mr. Rambo was a native of Pennsylvania but had lived in Franklin County for the past 30 years. He was a member of Oak Grove Freewill Baptist Church and a member of the I.B.E.W.

Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. on Friday, October 22, 2004, at Oak Grove Freewill Baptist Church with Stan Galloway and Gene Brown officiating. Interment will be in Oak Grove Cemetery.

Pallbearers will be Brandon Rambo, Shane Mansell and friends of Oak Grove Church.

Mr. Rambo is survived by his wife, Shirley Rambo; two sons, Darrel Rambo of Phil Campbell and Glen Rambo of Orlando, Florida; three sisters, Thelma Hickson and Lois Galloway, both of Oviedo, Florida, and Regina Hunt of Morriston, Florida; three grandchildren, Elisha Mansell, Amy Baker and Brandon Rambo; three great-grandchildren, Cade Baker, Dakota Mansell and Destiny Mansell; and several nieces and nephews.

Larry Saint, age 56, of Tuscumbia, passed away Sunday, October 17, 2004.

Mr. Saint was a Baptist and a truck driver.

Funeral services were held at 2 p.m. on Wednesday, October 20, 2004, at Morrison Funeral Home chapel with Rev. Kenneth Bond officiating. Interment was in Piney Grove Cemetery.

Pallbearers were Tony Winstead, Thomas Wright, Roger Corneliuson, B.B. McCalpin, Darren Woodruff and Butch Hill.

Mr. Saint is survived by his wife of 17 years, Connie Saint; a son, Michael Saint of Markham, Illinois; four daughters, Britney Saint of Tuscumbia, and Laura Saint, Lisa Graves and Jessica Hill, all of Russellville; a sister, Sandy Cranmore of Cleveland, Tennessee; a brother, Adam Smith; nine grandchildren; two special uncles, Bobby and Harold Michael; and a special aunt, Geneva Scott.

Morrison Funeral Home assisted the family.

Mary N. Garrison, age 61, of Double Springs, passed away Wednesday, November 17, 2004, at UAB Hospital.

Mrs. Garrison was a native of Winston County and a member of Waldrep Free Will Baptist Church. She was employed with American Fiberglass. She was preceded in death by her father, J.Q. Gravitt; and her brother, Bobby Gravitt.

Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. on Friday, November 19, 2004, at Pinkard Funeral Home Chapel in Haleyville with Bro. Hugh Cavender, Bro. Vernon Hood, and Bro. Earl Butler officiating. Interment will be in Ephesus Cemetery.

Mrs. Garrison is survived by her husband, Vernett Garrison; a son, Dewayne Garrison of Double Springs; three daughters, Barbara Cagle, Paulette Lee and Tammy Stromatt, all of Double Springs; her mother, Katherine Gravitt of Haleyville; a brother, Billy Gravitt of Decatur; three sisters, Betty Nicholson and Linda Beck, both of Haleyville, and Sheila Richie of Double Springs; six grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.

Virginia Houck, age 60, of Hackleburg, passed away Monday, November 15, 2004.

Mrs. Houck was born in Marion County. She was a member of Union Hill Free Will Baptist Church in Hackleburg. She was preceded in death by her husband, Dan E. Houck, Sr.; her parents, James and Geneva Frederick; and a brother, James W. Frederick.

Funeral services were held at 11 a.m. on Thursday, November 18, 2004, at Union Hill Free Will Baptist Church with Bro. Mike Frederick and Bro. Wade Wallace officiating. Interment was in Union Hill Cemetery.

Mrs. Houck is survived by three daughters, Lisa Michael of Troy, Tammy Irmiter and husband Rev. Fran, of Valley, and Robin McLauchlin and husband Kirk, of Madison; two sisters, Dorothy Carter of Hamilton and Chesteen McCollum; a brother, Sherman Frederick of Decatur; and six grandchildren, Amber Michael of Florence, Amanda and Daniel Irmiter of Valley, and Jarrod, Justin and Kristin McLauchlin of Madison.

Randall Ellsworth Livingston, age 53, of Russellville, passed away Wednesday, November 17, 2004, at Russellville Hospital.

Mr. Livingston was a native of Illinois but had lived in Franklin County for the past six years. He was preceded in death by his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Donald Edward Livingston.

A memorial service will be announced later by Rux Funeral Home in Kewanee, Illinois.

Mr. Livingston is survived by four sisters, Linda Ingle of Phil Campbell, Lisa Barnett of Sheffield, Illinois, and Christie Murphy and Sandy Verdick, both of Kewanee, Illinois; and a brother, Michael Livingston of Orion, Illinois.

Frank C. Zagrovich, age 82, of Russellville, passed away Tuesday, November 16, 2004, at his residence.

Mr. Zagrovich was a native of Indiana but had lived in Russellville for the past eight years. He was retired from U.S. Steel.

Funeral services will be held in Merrillville, Indiana.

Mr. Zagrovich is survived by his wife, Evelyn Zagrovich; three daughters, Sharon Jarrell and husband Bob, of Phil Campbell, Peggy Schriber and husband Lon, of Merrillville, Indiana, and Bobbie Price and husband Doug, of Crown Point, Indiana; nine grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.

Marie Bell Williams, age 100, of Russellville, passed away Sunday, November 14, 2004.

Graveside funeral services were held at 2 p.m. on Saturday, November 20, 2004, at Luketown Cemetery in Russellville.

Thompson and Son Funeral Home in Tuscumbia directed.

Roy Clinton Cochran, age 85, of Phil Campbell, passed away Tuesday, November 23, 2004.

Mr. Cochran was a retired TVA instrument mechanic and a member of the fleet reserves. He was a decorated World War II and Korean Naval veteran. He had received the Navy Unit Citation, Good Conduct Medal (6th Award), American Defense Medal, Navy Occupation Medal, World War II Victory Medal, National Defense Medal, Korean Service Medal, Korean Presidential Unit Citation, and United Nations Medal. Mr. Cochran was preceded in death by his parents, Hallman Cochran and Ivanee Ingram Cochran.

Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. on Friday, November 26, 2004, at Spry Memorial Chapel with Rev. Coye Marbutt officiating. Interment will be in Franklin Memory Gardens.

Mr. Cochran is survived by his wife, Christine Fuller Cochran; a daughter, Patricia Farra; two sons, Roy Lee Cochran and Danny Cochran; a brother, W.L. Cochran; two sisters, Margaret Woods and Mary Kathern Bowen; two grandchildren, Daniel Cochran and Sherie McDaniels; a great-grandchild, Georgia Jolene McDaniels; and twenty-three nieces and nephews.

Horace Edward DeVaney, age 70, of Russellville, passed away Thursday, November 25, 2004, at ECM Hospital in Florence.

Mr. DeVaney was a native of Franklin County. He was owner and operator of DeVaney Trucking. He retired in 1999.

Funeral services were held at 2 p.m. on Saturday, November 27, 2004, at Pinkard Funeral Home chapel in Russellville with Rev. Grady Parrish officiating. Interment was in Jonesboro Cemetery.

Mr. DeVaney is survived by his wife, Yvonne DeVaney; four children, Eddie DeVaney and wife Rhonda, Sherry Mims and husband David, Bodie DeVaney, and Randy DeVaney, all of Russellville; four sisters, Dorothy Graves of Florence, Hazel Cole and husband Dean, of Missouri, Martha Riddick and husband Sonny, of Missouri, and Sue Reagan and husband Gary, of Missouri; nine grandchildren, Christy Bragwell, Kelly Mims, Amanda Mouser, Caressa Fretwell, Whitney DeVaney, Dana DeVaney, Jason DeVaney, Bradley DeVaney, and Stacey DeVaney; seven great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.Pinkard Funeral Home assisted the family.

Henry James Cooper, age 83, of Murfreesboro, Tennessee, passed away Friday, November 26, 2004, at his residence.

Mr. Cooper was born August 2, 1921, in Franklin County. He was a U.S. Navy Veteran of World War II. He retired from Genesco and was a member of the Church of Christ.

Funeral services were held at 11 a.m. on Tuesday, November 30, 2004, at Spry Funeral Home Chapel with Bud White officiating. Interment was in Roselawn Cemetery.

Mr. Cooper is survived by his wife, Mae Dell Cooper; a son, Jack Cooper of Ringgold, Georgia; a daughter, Frieda Marshall of Murfreesboro, Tennessee; a sister, Rebecca Cartee of Franklin, Tennessee; three grandchildren, Todd Cooper of Ft. Valley, Georgia, Shawn Cooper of Marianna, Florida, and Amy Marshall of Nashville; a great-grandson, Jacob Thornton Cooper of Ft. Valley, Georgia; and several nieces and nephews.

Russell "Ted" Goddard, age 72, of Russellville, passed away Friday, November 26, 2004.

Mr. Goddard was a native of Kentucky and was employed as a truck driver for Shoals Trucking. He was a member of the Catholic Faith and a veteran of the U.S. Army. Mr. Goddard was preceded in death by his wife, Flora Annette Broadway; and his parents, Howard and Daisy Goddard.

Funeral services were held at 2 p.m. on Monday, November 29, 2004, at Akins Funeral Home Chapel with Bro. Mark Daniels officiating. Interment was in Belgreen Baptist Church Cemetery.

Mr. Goddard is survived by four sons, Teddy Goddard of Ohio, Ricky Goddard and wife Leanne, of Russellville, Timmy Goddard of Ohio, and Gary Goddard of Ohio; five daughters, Kay Doyle of Ohio, Penny Ford of Ohio, Jennifer DeVaney of Russellville, Candy Goddard of Ohio, and Tonya Goddard of Russellville; several grandchildren; and several great-grandchildren.

Hugh Weatherford Hester, age 83, of Red Bay, passed away Wednesday, November 24, 2004, at ECM Hospital.

Mr. Hester was a native of Alabama. He was retired from the furniture manufacturing industry after 25 years and was owner of Antique Furniture Reproductions. He was a member of Red Bay First Baptist Church, where he taught the men's Sunday School class for many years. Mr. Hester was a member of Gideon Society and Red Bay's Masonic Lodge and was a charter member of Racking Horse Breeders Association. He was preceded in death by his parents, Velsor and Audrey Hester; and a grandson, Michael McCarthy.

Funeral services were held at 11 a.m. on Saturday, November 27, 2004, at First Baptist Church in Red Bay with Rev. Larry Hill officiating. Interment was in Red Bay City Cemetery.

Pallbearers were Lowell Humphres, Eucellis Underwood, Oneal Woods, Herb Cooper, Billy Bolton and James Overton. Jim Berry was an honorary bearer.

Mr. Hester is survived by his wife, Mrs. Margaret Hester; three daughters, Sondra Tate and husband Jerry, of Harvest, Linda McNatt and husband Dale, of Sheffield, and Norma Trapp and husband Jerry, of Tuscumbia; a son, Randall Hester and wife Lindsey, of Lexington; a sister, Eloise Davis of Muscle Shoals; a brother, Morris Hester of Red Bay; and six grandchildren, Kim Tate of Huntsville, Jon Tate of Memphis, Jeff Tate of Boston, Massachusetts, Kevin McCarthy of Sheffield, Cory Pierce of Florence, and Allison Pierce of Huntsville.
