Mary Louise Brown, age 79, a resident of Greenville, died April 28, 2008. Funeral services will be held Saturday, May 3, 2008 at noon at Hickory Street Church of Christ in Greenville with Brother William Rudolph officiating.
Interment will be at Magnolia Cemetery with Serenity Chapel directing.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Robert Brown Sr. and three children, Willie, Johnny and Shirley Brown.
She leaves to cherish her memories sons Robert (Betty) Brown Jr. of Flushing, N.Y., Charlie (Elizabeth) Brown and Kenneth (Agatha) Brown of Greenville, Michael Brown, David (Sharon) Brown and Charles (Lonnie) Gilchrist of Montgomery; daughters, Cathy Boykins of Greenville, Sharon (Charlie) Cook, Jacqueline (Lamar) Latimore and Brenda (Bruce) Giles of Montgomery; two sisters, Betty Rogers of Greenville and Linda (James) Newton of Lanette; two brothers, Eugene Brown and Willie Marie Brown; 26 grandchildren, 36 great-grandchildren and seven great-great-grandchildren.
The body will lie in repose for two hours prior to the funeral services at Serenity Funeral Chapel, 112 S. College St. in Greenville.

Horace Cook
COOK, Horace Wayne, 72, a resident of Prattville, AL, died peacefully on Wednesday, May 23, 2007, after a brief illness. Funeral services will be held on Friday, May 25, 2007, at 2:00 p.m., from the First Baptist Church in Prattville, with Dr. Travis Coleman officiating. Burial will follow in Prattville Memory Gardens, with Prattville Memorial Chapel directing. Mr. Cook gave generously of his time and talent to his church and his community, including serving as a Deacon in the First Baptist Church of Prattville; active membership in the Pete Walden Sunday School Class and The Adult Choir; the Prattville Area Chamber of Commerce, and the Rotary Club of Prattville. He was also well known in the community as an Independent Agent with State Farm Insurance for 31 years. He was preceded in death by his parents, Grady and Lillian Cook, and one sister, Helen Colburn. He is survived by his beloved wife of 54 years, Janie Cook; one son and daughter-in-law, Richard and Emmy Cook, all of Prattville, AL; one daughter and son-in-law, Kim and Robert Rowland, Helena, AL; six grandchildren, Amanda Rowland, Lauren Rowland, Abby Rowland, Danielle Cook, Camryn Cook, and Landon Cook; and one brother-in-law, Floyd Colburn, Prattville, AL. Active pallbearers will be Harold Littlejohn, Horace Powell, Brad Wilson, Ermon Richmond, Donald Herrod, Mike Thornton, Harold Hammond, and Marion Bowen. Honorary pallbearers will be Bob Vaughn, Buddy Mann, Ralph Lee, and Members of the Pete Walden Sunday School Class. In lieu of flowers, memorial tributes may be sent to the First Baptist Church, c/o The Building Fund, 138 South Washington Street, Prattville, AL 36066, or to the Montgomery Cancer Wellness Foundation, 4145 Carmichael Road, Montgomery, AL 36106. BAZZELL, Jr. Floyd C., 67, a resident of Deatsville, AL, died peacefully on Tuesday, November 13, 2007. Funeral services will be held on Thursday, November 15, 2007, at 10:00 a.m., from the Chapel of Prattville Memorial with Reverend Tony Glass officiating. Burial will follow in Prattville Memory Gardens with Prattville Memorial Chapel directing. Mr. Bazzell was preceded in death by his brother, Eddie Law; and his parents, Floyd Bazzell and Florence Bazzell Law. He is survived by his former wife and best friend, Earline Bazzell; two daughters, Kathy (Jeff) Caver and Karen (Joe) Madison; one son, Bruce (Deborah) Bazzell; three grandchildren, Michael Bazzell, April Bazzell, and Adam Caver; two brothers, Grover Bazzell and Richard Bazzell; and one sister, Mary Ann Tidwell. Pallbearers will be Adam Caver, Michael Bazzell, Bill Hollon, Billy Madison, Malcolm Hudgins, Grover Vann, and Michael Caver. The family will receive friends at Prattville Memorial on Wednesday evening from 6:00 until 8:00 p.m.

ATKINS, Jesse Lee, departed this earth on Sunday, September 17, 2006. Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, September 20, 2006, at 7:00 p.m., from the Chapel of Prattville Memorial, with Reverend Gerald Wood officiating. Jesse was born on March 3, 1981 in Elkins, WV, to Nancy L. Atkins and James L. Atkins. He moved to Alabama with his family in 1986. He graduated from Chapman Christian Academy in May, 1999. He was currently employed with Crosby Electric Company. He leaves behind a loving and devoted mother, Nancy Atkins; father, James Atkins; three brothers, James Andrew “Andy” (Shelly) Atkins, Michael Anthony “Tony” (Christen) Atkins, and James “Joseph” (Pam) Atkins; grandmother, Dolores D. Hautz; a nephew, Jamie Atkins; a niece, Sydney Atkins, whom he adored; a special friend, Amanda Atkins, and a host of uncles, aunts, cousins and friends. Jesse touched the hearts of many people during his short stay in this world. He was kind and loving and very generous – always ready to help someone in need. Jesse will be dearly missed.
