Eleanor G. C. C. Montgomery
Eleanor Grace Cook Campbell Montgomery, of Honoraville, devoted wife, loving mother, cherished grandmother and beloved friend, died Friday, January 25, 2008 at home surrounded by family and friends. Visitation was Sunday, January 27 from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. at Harrison Funeral Home in Greenville.
Funeral services were held at 2 p.m. Monday, January 28, 2008 at Danielville Baptist Church with the Rev. Joe Leverette officiating. Interment followed at Cool Spring Primitive Baptist Church. Pallbearers will be Steve Branch, Mickey Horne, Stuart Horne, Randy Sexton, Grayson Smith and Zeke Smith.
Mrs. Montgomery was founder and previous owner of the Merle Norman Cosmetics Studio in Greenville, and co-owned the Merle Norman Studio in Troy prior to her retirement.
She was preceded in death by her first husband, Robert J. Campbell. Survivors include: her husband, Colin Montgomery; son Robert H. and Susan Campbell and their children, Elizabeth, Heather and Jennifer Robin, of Pike Road; son Roddy and Tina Campbell and their children, Jessica, Amy and Ryan, of Honoraville; daughter Jana and Ken Rogers and their children, Kelsey and Allyson of Troy; stepchildren Kim and Fred Tarvin and their children Grant Taylor, Evan and Marykatlin, of Carrollton, Ga.; Curtis and Robyn Montgomery and his children Kayla, McKenzie and Scout of Montgomery; brothers, Howard and Bea Cook and Wendell and Vada Williamson, all of Honoraville; nieces and nephews Vance Williamson of Birmingham, Kim Rogers of Highland Home and Wendy Davis of Honoraville and many other nieces and nephews.
Trudy Banic
BANIC, Mattie Gertrude, a resident of Montgomery, AL, affectionately known and loved as “Trudy,” celebrated her homegoing, on Monday, January 14, 2007, at the age of 72. Funeral services will be held on Friday, January 18, 2008, at twelve noon, from the Chapel of Prattville Memorial, with Reverend Johnny E. Jones officiating. Burial will follow in Prattville Memory Gardens, with Prattville Memorial Chapel directing. Mrs. Banic was a devoted mother and loving grandmother; preceded in death by four siblings, and one son-in-law, Bobby Cook. She leaves behind to cherish her memories, three daughters, Linda Prisock, Houston, TX, Cindy Cook, Montgomery, AL, and Maria (Richard) Kane, Mineola, FL; one son, Thomas Gere Donahey, Jr., Montgomery, AL; four grandchildren, Ashley (Jacob) Dominguez, Jessica (Derrick) Grant, Loren Barrineau, and John Michael Donahey; three great-grandchildren, Joshua Dominguez, Jacob Dominguez, and Brandon Dominguez; two sisters, Flora (Tony) Sommers, Panama City, FL, Agnes (Jim) Wright, Greencastle, IN; and one brother, Phillip Ward, Ft. Payne, AL. Serving as pallbearers will be Derrick Grant, Jacob Dominquez, Timmy Jones, Ronnie Thomas, Chad Price, and Terry McElya. The family will receive friends at Prattville Memorial Chapel on Thursday evening from 6:00 until 8:00 p.m. "Death leaves a heartache no one can heal; love leaves a memory no one can steal."

Gwendolyn Denise Simpson, 36, died January 18, 2008. Funeral services were held at 1 p.m. Wednesday, January 23, 2008 from Mt. Ida Baptist Church with the Rev. Michael Pouncey officiating and Hudson Funeral Home directing.
Burial followed in Hickory Grove Cemetery with Hudson Funeral Services directing. Ms. Simpson leaves to cherish her memory a mother, Annie Louise Clemmons; father, Frank Patton; stepfather, Robert Clemmons; four brothers, Tracy (Toni) Simpson of Millbrook, Eric (Sharon) Clemmons, Jonathan Marsh and Cornelius Patton of Greenville; grandfather, John D. Simpson, and great-grandfather, Margie Lewis; six uncles, one devoted, Zebbie D. Toni E. Blackwell Andress, 55, a resident of Greenville, died January 28, 2008 at her residence. Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday, January 30, 2008 at Dunklin & Daniels Funeral Home with the Rev. Herbert Brown officiating.

Cecil Otis "Bill" Bailey
BAILEY, Cecil Otis “Bill,” 80, a resident of Prattville, AL, died at home on Sunday, June 5, 2005. Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, June 8, 2005, at 2:00 p.m., from the Chapel of Prattville Memorial, with Reverend Randy Tucker officiating. Burial will follow, with full military honors, in Prattville Memory Gardens, with Prattville Memorial Chapel directing. Mr. Bailey was a Veteran of the United States Army and served his country during the Korean War. He was awarded the Bronze Star twenty-eight years following his discharge. He was preceded in death by his beloved spouse, Jean Y. Bailey, and two great-grandchildren, Jade Lexus Smith and Alanna Leigh Wynn. He is survived by one daughter and son-in-law, Pepper and Pete Dominguez, Perdido Key, FL; three sons and one daughter-in-law, Ken and Trena Bailey, Darell Bailey, and Jeff Bailey, all of Prattville, AL; eleven grandchildren, Heather (Marc) Wilson, Angie (Eddie) Davis, Erica (Brent) Wynn, Cassia Dominguez, Eric Bailey, Ashley Bailey, Justin Bailey, Erin Bailey, Austin Bailey, Jarrett Bailey, and Selena Fears; six great-grandchildren, Dalton and Bailee Silvey, Trey and Kenzie Davis, Kelby and Kelton Wilson; one brother, Paul (Betty) Bailey, Montgomery, AL; and one sister, Gloria (Sydney) Hamilton, Huntsville, AL. Nancy Paul Bush
BUSH, Nancy Paul, 70, a resident of Prattville, AL, died peacefully at home on Thursday, October 11, 2007, after an extended illness. Funeral services will be held on Sunday, October 14, 2007, at 2:00 p.m., from the Chapel of Prattville Memorial, with Chaplain William Tucker officiating; Herman Watts accompanying. Burial will follow in Prattville Memory Gardens, with Prattville Memorial Chapel directing. Mrs. Bush was a devoted wife, mother and grandmother. She was well known in the community as an Independent Agent for ALFA Insurance from which she retired after 20 years of service. She was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Harry E. Bush, and parents, Fred and Thelma Paul. She is survived by three daughters and sons-in-law, Beth and Perry Worrell, Amy and Mark Scott, Meg and Richard Luckie; eight grandchildren, Samantha (Robert) Shoup, Joshua Worrell, Emily Scott, Zachary Scott, Katie Scott, Claire Lawrence, Caroline Lawrence, and Mari Grayson Luckie; one great grandchild, Landon Shoup; one brother, Buddy (Donna) Paul; two sisters, Sylvia (Bob) Cannady, and Dian Paul; several nieces and nephews, Stephanie, Bill, Bobby and Kendall Gillespie, Cindy Cannady, Kelli and David Creamer, Heather and Brett Lucas, Gene and Crystal Paul; and a very devoted caregiver and friend, Rosie Mae Davis. Robert W. Dees
Robert W. Dees, Lt. Col. USAF (retired), born in Greenville, died at his Torrance, California home January 26, 2008 after a brief illness. Born in 1918, he was preceded in death by brothers James and Bill.
He is survived by Edith, wife of 60 years, children Rob Dees Jr. of San Pedro, Calif. And Edie Dees of Redondo Beach, Calif.; sister-in-law, Joy Dees of Greenville; nieces, Susan Curet of Montgomery, Mary Jane (Cole) Falkenberry of Greenville, Slyvia Steen of Jacksonville, Fla. and nephew Sam (Darla) Steen of Jacksonville, Fla.
Juanita Beach
Jaunita Beach, will be remembered during her funeral services at noon Saturday, February 2, 2008 from Missionary Baptist Church, the Rev. R. F. McCreary officiating. Burial will follow in Magnolia Cemetery with Hudson Funeral Service of Greenville directing.
Ms. Beach laves to cherish her memories a devoted caregiver, Annie Mae Smith of Montgomery and Greenville; three nieces, Lois (Henry) Smith, Dorothy Jean Davis, and Evelyn (Sammy) Shoemaker; three great-nieces, Paula Smith, Candace Shoemaker, Miriam Shoemaker; great nephews and nieces, Horace Davis Jr., Malik Smith, Domique and Tamus Stevens, Ebony and Roderick Lewis Jr.; four devoted friends, Ruthaileen Powell, Willie M. Robinson, Pearl Holmes and Mary Stewart. The body will lie in repose from 11 a.m. until funeral time. Final rites by OES and IBP will be given between 11 a.m. and noon.

William Edward Scott Coshatt, 36, a resident of Greenville, died Monday, January 28, 2008.
Memorial services will be held Friday, February 1, 2008 at 2 p.m. from the chapel of Dunklin & Daniels Funeral Home with Dunklin & Daniels Funeral Home directing.
Visitation will be held from 1 p.m. to 2 p.m. for friends and family.
Mr. Coshatt was survived by his children, Kenny Coshatt and Amber Coshatt; sister, Carolyn (James) Aretz; father, Billy Glenn Coshatt; half-brother, Robby Coshatt and several nieces and nephews. Donations may be made at Colonial Bank to Patricia Lowery.
Patrick Bailey
BAILEY, Patrick Vincent, 66, a resident of Prattville, AL, died peacefully at home on Tuesday, September 7, 2004. Funeral services will be held on Friday, September 10, 2004, at 10:30 a.m., from St. Mark’s Episcopal Church, with The Reverend John Bagby officiating. Burial will follow, with military honors, in Prattville Memory Gardens, with Prattville Memorial Chapel directing. Mr. Bailey honorably served his country as a Veteran of the United States Air Force and retired after 26 years of service. Following his military career, he was the Lab Manager for the Veteran’s Administration Medical Center and the Alabama Reference Lab. He is survived by his beloved wife of 41 years, Mary Hobby Bailey; one daughter and son-in-law, Robin and Chuck Putzel, all of Prattville, AL; one son and daughter-in-law, Timothy and Jennifer Bailey, Montgomery, AL; two grandsons, Charles Lewis Putzel, V, and Richard Grey Bailey. Active pallbearers will be Peter Valdakis, Ricky Messick, Francis Goggins, Bob Bent, Bob Gray, Gene Kerlin, and the United States Air Force Honor Guard. The family will receive friends at Prattville Memorial Chapel on Thursday evening from 6:00 until 8:00 p.m.
