The funeral will be 11 a.m., Tuesday, Feb. 11 at Macedonia Baptist Church with the Revs. Glenn Pippins, Kerry Saxon, and Ken Shoemake officiating. Burial will be noon (EST) Wednesday, Feb. 12 at Ft. Mitchell National Cemetery in Seale with full military honors. The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. Monday, Feb. 10, at the funeral home.

Frank A. Anderson Jr. died Saturday, Jan. 25, 2003, at his home in Gainesville, Fla. Funeral services will be 10:30 a.m. today, Jan. 31 at St. Columba Catholic Church in Dothan.

Mr. James Bale Babbitt Jr. of Geneva, passed away Tuesday, Jan. 28, 2003, at Wiregrass Medical Center in Geneva. He was 87. Funeral services will be 11 a.m. Saturday, Feb. 1 at Devco Baptist Church in Geneva with the Rev. Olan Strickland officiating. Burial will follow at Meadowlawn Memorial Park Cemetery in Enterprise. The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. today at Sorrells Funeral Home in Geneva. The body will be placed into the church one hour before service time.

Robert Lee Barkley of Dothan died Saturday, Jan. 25, 2003, at his residence. He was 60. Funeral services will be at 1 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 1 at Springfield A.M.E. Church, 4194 Union Road, Marianna, Fla., where the Rev. John Hurst Adams Sr. is presiding bishop, the Rev. Thelma Shaw-Young is presiding elder and the Rev. Charles Flowers Sr. is pastor with the Rev. Zibbie Dawsey Jr. officiating. Interment will follow at the church cemetery. The family will receive friends from 5 to 7 p.m. today at Memory Chapel. The cortege will assemble at 11:15 a.m. today at 209 Winslow Court, Dothan.

Mrs. Jennie Smith Cassady, a resident of Wiregrass Nursing Home and formerly of Wicksburg, died Sunday night, Jan. 26, 2003, after an extended illness. She was 86. Funeral services will be 10 a.m. today, Jan. 31 at Sorrells Funeral Home Chapel in Slocomb with the Rev. Thomas Harrison officiating. Burial will follow at Goodwater Free Will Baptist Church.

Gladys Collins of Chinook Street, Dothan, died Thursday, Jan. 30, 2003, at her home after an extended illness. She ws 81. Funeral arrangements are incomplete and will be announced at a later date along with a complete list of survivors by Varner Memorial Funeral Home of Dothan, 334-671-1455.

Mrs. Ella Lemond Coste of Ozark died Tuesday, Jan. 28, 2003, at Capital Hill Nursing Home in Montgomery. She was 91. Funeral arrangements may be obtained by calling Fuqua-Bankston Funeral Home of Ozark, 334-774-4551.

Mr. Hubert Grider of West Kirkland Street, Hartford, died Monday evening, Jan. 27, 2003, at Wiregrass Medical Center in Geneva. Funeral services will be 11 a.m. Saturday, Feb. 1 at Prosperity Missionary Baptist Church in Hartford with the Rev. W.R. Vergil officiating. Burial will follow at the Macedonia Cemetery in Hartford. Mr. Grider will be placed in the church at 10 a.m. for public viewing.

Mrs. Dorothy Jane Martin of Ponce De Leon, Fla., died Tuesday, Jan. 28, 2003, at Mariner Health Care of Bonifay, Fla. She was 74. Funeral arrangements may be obtained by calling Pittman Funeral Home of Geneva, 334-684-2600.

Mr. John William (Bill) Newton of Brown's Crossroads Community died Wednesday evening, Jan. 29, 2003, at the Ozark Nursing Facility. He was 84. Funeral services will be 10 a.m. Saturday, Feb. 1 at Bethel United Methodist Church with the Rev. Bob Sweet officiating. Burial will follow at Mt. Carmel United Methodist Cemetery. Visitation will be from 5 to 7 p.m. today at Fuqua-Bankston Funeral Home of Ozark. Flowers will be accepted or memorial contributions may be made to Bethel United Methodist Church or Mt. Carmel United Methodist Church.

Mr. Foy (Cap) Mace Reeves Sr. of Neil Grantham Drive, Elba, passed away Tuesday, Jan. 28, 2003, at Elba Nursing Home following an extended illness. He was 71. Funeral services will be 2 p.m. today, Jan. 31 at Patterson-Sorrells Funeral Home with the Rev. Bruce Williams officiating. Burial with full military honors and Masonic rites will follow at Meadowlawn Cemetery. The family will be at the home of a sister, Mrs. Jean Scarbrough, Smith Avenue, Elba.

Charles Edward Sellers of Glenwood Street, Dothan, died Tuesday afternoon, Jan. 28, 2003, at Southeast Alabama Medical Center from injuries received in an automobile accident. He was 74 years old. The funeral will be held at 2 p.m. today, January 31 at Southern Heritage Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Wallace Russell officiating. Burial, with military honors, will follow at Howard's Grove Free Will Baptist Church cemetery.

Jo Ann Barfield Smith of St. Joe Beach, Fla., formerly of Graceville, passed away Tuesday, Jan. 28, 2003, at Bay Medical Center in Panama City, Fla., following a brief illness. She was 65. Funeral services will be 2 p.m. (CST) today, Jan. 31 at Damascus Baptist Church in Graceville, Fla., with the Rev. George Dodd officiating. Burial will follow at the church cemetery. Edward Louis Allen of Campbellton died Monday, Jan. 20, 2003, at Southeast Alabama Medical Center in Dothan. He was 77. Funeral services will be 2 p.m. Thursday, Jan. 23 at James & Lipford Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Jackie Register and the Rev. Luther Pumprey officiating. Nettie H. Boone of Route 6, Dothan, died Monday, Jan. 20, 2003, at her residence following an extended illness. She was 85. Funeral services will be 10 a.m. today, Jan. 22 at Grimes Methodist Church with the Rev. Tom Anderson officiating. Interment will immediately follow the service at Mt. Pleasant Baptist Church Cemetery (Wiggins Cemetery).

Linda Sue Bradley of West Adams Street, Dothan, died Monday, Jan. 20, 2003, at Southeast Alabama Medical Center after an extended illness. She was 41. Mr. Steven "Craig" Branton, a native of Dothan and a resident of Saraland, Ala., died Saturday, Jan. 18, 2003, at his home in Saraland. He was 48. Mr. Howard M. Dean of Ozark died Monday evening, Jan. 20, 2003, at Dale Medical Center. He was 93. Funeral arrangements are incomplete at this time and will be announced later through Holman Funeral Home of Ozark, 334-774-5348.

Mrs. Nancy Mullins Dumas of King Street, Newton, died Sunday evening, Jan. 19, 2003, at her home following an extended illness. She was 93. Funeral services will be 2 p.m. today, Jan. 22 at Newton City Cemetery with the Rev. David Willis officiating. Interment will follow. Visitation will be from 1 p.m. until time to depart for the graveside service Wednesday at her home in Newton (111 King St.). The family will receive friends during this time. Mary Hammock Folds of County Road 13, Headland, died early Tuesday morning, Jan. 21, 2003, at the home of a son, Robert E. Folds, in the Beauregard Community, near Opelika, after an extended illness. She was 83. Funeral services will be 10:30 a.m. Thursday, Jan. 23 at Pleasant Hill Free Will Baptist Church, near Headland, with the Rev. Dave Collins and the Rev. Melvin Moody officiating. Burial will follow at Gardens of Memory. The body will be placed in the church one hour prior to the services. The family will receive friends from 5 to 7 p.m. Wednesday at the mortuary in Headland. Billy Ray Matthews of Dothan died early Tuesday morning, Jan. 21, 2003. He was 61. Private services will be held at a later date.

Emma Eliza Childs Reagan McDuffie of Geneva died Sunday, Jan. 19, 2003, after an extended illness. She was 83. Funeral services will be 2 p.m. today, Jan. 22 at Pittman Funeral Home Chapel in Geneva with Dr. Mike Shirah officiating. Burial will follow at Friendship Baptist Church Cemetery, Highway 27 North.
