ARGO, Kathryn Marie, 85, a resident of Prattville, AL, died peacefully on Tuesday, March 20, 2007, at a local hospital. Funeral services will be held on Friday, March 23, 2007, at 11:00 a.m., from the Chapel of Prattville Memorial, with Dr. Travis Coleman officiating. Entombment will follow in Florida Memorial Gardens, Rockledge, Florida. Mrs. Argo was born in Paducah, Kentucky, March 5, 1922, and later moved to Detroit, Michigan where she met and married her beloved spouse, George Edward Argo. She was a devoted wife, mother and grandmother, who gave generously of her time and talent to the Eastern Star and the Sigma Alpha Sorority. She joins her beloved husband, George Edward Argo, her daughter, Diana Lee Spector, her brother, Ray Buckingham, her parents, Jewel and Ogle Buckingham, and step-mother, Louise Buckingham, in the company of our heavenly Father. She is survived by one son and daughter-in-law, Dean and Paula Argo, Prattville, AL; one daughter and son-in-law, Denise and Richard Cable, Palm Bay, FL; six grandchildren, Robin (Al) Wichar, Christine (Ken) Shoemaker, Kassi Argo, Joshua Argo, Karrie (Brandon) Taylor, and Richard Cable; four great-grandchildren, Benjamin Timm, Jessie Timm, Jamie Timm, and Devin Shoemaker. Pallbearers will be Mayor Jim Byard, Billy Sparks, Mike Renegar, Bill Gillespie, Greg Walker, Jeff Baldwin, Al Spector, and Dr. Johnnie Strickland. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be sent to First Baptist Church, 138 South Washington Street, Prattville, AL 36067. The family will receive friends at Prattville Memorial Chapel one hour prior to her service on Friday from 10:00 a.m. until 11:00 a.m.
Mary Kathleen Aldridge
Aldridge, Mary Kathleen Stewart, a resident of Prattville, AL, died unexpectedly at her home on Tuesday, November 1, 2005. Funeral services will be held on Friday, November 4, 2005, at 10:00 a.m. from the First Baptist Church with Dr. Travis Coleman officiating, with Prattville Memorial Chapel directing. Mrs. Aldridge was preceded in death by her grandparents, Eldridge and Kathleen Stewart, and George and Leona Coburn. She is survived by beloved husband, Chandler Aldridge of Prattville, AL; two daughters, Cynthia (Mike) Sadler of Maryville, TN, Melanie Aldridge and her fiancé Charlie Austin of Prattville, AL; three sisters, Janice Stewart of Millbrook, AL, Kay (Ronnie) Nummy of Prattville, AL, Leona (Jim) Morrow of Cumming, GA; one brother, John Thomas of Tuscaloosa, AL; two grandchildren, Sarah Elizabeth and Laura Kathryn Sadler; her parents, Hubert and Ophelia Stewart of Prattville, AL; mother-in-law, Ethel Aldridge of Clanton, AL; and a host of nieces, nephews, and friends. Honorary Pallbearers will be the Shelby Meadows Sunday School Class. Active pallbearers will be Charlie Austin, Mike Sadler, Eldridge Stewart, John Thomas, James Thomas, and Joe Barr. BISHOP, Sr., Tommy Jeff, 64, a resident of Prattville, AL, died on Tuesday, October 30, 2007. He is survived by his wife of 36 years, Judith Bishop, Prattville, AL; five daughters, Tina Bishop Anagnos, Prattville, AL, Vicki (Joseph) Metcalf, Prattville, AL, Vivian (Joseph) Whited, Gallitin, TN, Patricia (Johnny) Edwards, Nashville, TN, and Leann (Christopher) Reeves, Prattville, AL; one son, Tommy Jeff (Pam) Bishop, Maplesville, AL; one adopted daughter, Theresa Russell, Calera, AL; 24 grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; four sisters, Mary Ann Foley, Wetumpka, AL, Carolyn (Tom) Williams, Oxford, AL, Brenda (Kenneth) Crews, Lincoln, AL, and Ruby Wilkerson, Jacksonville, AL; three brothers, Jim Bishop, Montgomery, AL, Dolphis (Sue) Bishop, Birmingham, AL, and Albiewayne Barker, Pell City, AL; and numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins. Betty Jean Free
Betty Jean Free, age 75, a resident of Greenville, died on Tuesday, February 26, 2008. Funeral services were held at 2 p.m. Thursday, February 28, 2008, from the chapel of Dunklin & Daniels Funeral Home. Interment followed at Sunrise Memorial Park. The family received friends from 1 p.m. to 2 p.m. at Dunklin & Daniels Funeral Home. Ms. Free was preceded in death by her mother, Albie P. Free. She is survived by her sisters, Odessa (Bill) Ballard of Gantt, Marlene Oakes of Montgomery, Juanita (Eddie) Taylor of Augusta, Ga., Elsie (John) Sheffield of Seminole, Roberta (Richard) Courson of Spring Hill, and numerous nieces and nephews. The family would like to extend a special "thank you" to the friends and staff at Crowne Health Care in Greenville.
Margaret Pugh Ryals
Margaret Pugh Ryals, age 84, a resident of Fort Deposit (the Logan Community), went to be with the Lord on March 1, 2008.
She was born May 8, 1923, in Buena Vista, Va.
She was preceded in death by her husband of 59 years, Mr. S.E. Ryals and a daughter, Kay Lynn Ryals; also her parents, three sisters and two brothers. Together she and her husband ran several local businesses, including The Red and White Grocery Store in Fort Deposit and the Travel Mart Shell.
Survivors include: a son, Donnie Lee (Shirley) Ryals and daughter, Alesa Ryals (Steve) Hill, all of Fort Deposit, and daughter Dawn Ryals (Mike) Eckhoff of Moody; four grandchildren, Aaron and Sam Ryals, Virginia Nickelson and Lauren Grunda; four great-grandchildren, Hallie, Clara, and Jana Ryals and Alvin Nickelson.
Graveside services were held Monday, March 3, 2008 in The Myrtlewood Cemetery of Fort Deposit at 10 a.m. with the Reverend Eric Jackson officiating and Harrison Funeral Home directing.
Julia Claire Selden White
Julia Claire Selden White, age 61, a resident of Greenville, AL, died on Sunday, March 2, 2008.
Graveside services were held on Monday, March 3, 2008, at Sunrise Memorial Park Cemetery with Father Fred Lindstrom officiating and Dunklin & Daniels Funeral Home directing.
Ms. White is survived by her sister, Mary Brown of Greenville, brother, Joseph L. Selden of Australia, and sons, Hubert J. and Christopher White.
Frances Louise Biles
BILES, Frances Louise, 68, a resident of Prattville, AL, died peacefully on Wednesday, March 26, 2008. Graveside services will be held on Friday, March 28, 2008, at 11:00 a.m., at Prattville Memory Gardens, with Dr. Travis Coleman and Reverend Nick Dismukes officiating, with Prattville Memorial Chapel directing. Mrs. Biles was preceded in death by her parents, Wilbur and Carrie Biles; two sisters, Mildred Busby and Billie Jean Biles; one brother-in-law, Howard Jones; and one sister-in-law, Ann Biles. She is survived by one brother, Wilbur Biles; one sister, Eloise Jones; and numerous nieces, nephews, and other family members. Pallbearers will be Kyle Biles, John Biles, Tim Biles, Alex Harwell, and Will Harwell. The family will receive friends at Prattville Memorial Chapel on Friday morning from 10:00 a.m. until 11:00 a.m.

BABSTON, Hayward F. “Billy, 68, a resident of Montgomery, AL, formerly of Autaugaville, AL, died on Sunday, December 18, 2005. Burial will follow in Rocky Hill Cemetery, Autaugaville, AL, with Prattville Memorial Chapel directing. Mr. Babston honorably served his country as a Veteran of the United States Army. He was preceded in death by his parents, Ted and Thelma Babston; two brothers, Roy and Ray Babston; and one sister, Maxine Coggins. He is survived by his former wife, Annette Babston; three sons, Mike Babston, Mark (Gail Peacock) Babston, and Wade Babston, all of Montgomery, AL; two daughters, Ann (Donnie) Smith, Montgomery, AL, and Kristi (Mac) Caddell, Little Rock, AR; nine grandchildren, Michael, Zac, Jake, Astrid, Avery, Blayne, and Steven Babston, Justin Smith, and Madi Caddell; two sisters, Penny Jinright, Greenville, AL, and Jean Farley, Highland Home, AL. Mr. Blanchard was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Dollie Blanchard, and sister, Betty Way. Graveside services will be held on Saturday, February 10, 2007, at 1:00 p.m., from Prattville Memory Gardens, with Dr. Noel Walker officiating, Prattville Memorial Chapel directing. Mrs. Archer is survived by her son and daughter-in- law, Kevin and Kim Munce; one granddaughter, Samantha Grace Munce, all of Prattville, AL; two sisters, Jean (Bob) Melson and JoAnne (Howard) Melson all of Delaware. Pallbearers will be Jimmy Ross, Dewayne Ross, Blake Ross, Alan Bullard, Chuck Perdue, and Mike Teel.
Perry Harrison Fuller
Perry Harrison Fuller, 72, a former resident of Greenville, passed away March 1, 2008 in Prattville.
Funeral services will be Wednesday, March 5, 2008 at 2 p.m. at Sardis Baptist Church with the Rev. Randall Newton officiating.
Mr. Fuller will lie in repose from 1 p.m.. until service time. Burial will follow in Sardis Baptist Church Cemetery with Dunklin & Daniels Funeral Home directing.
Mr. Fuller was preceded in death by a son and daughter; Perry Harrison Fuller, Jr. and Tammy Fuller.
Survivors include: wife, Sarah Wood Fuller of Prattville; two daughters, Kate Morton (Dana) of Prattville and Sandra DuBose (Wayne) of Montgomery; three grandchildren, Josh, Michelle and Jonathan Dubose, and one great-grandson, Cole DuBose; sister, Kate McClain.
