Adams, Mildred Marie “Judy”, 74, a long time resident of Prattville, AL, died peacefully Tuesday, November 28, 2006 at a local nursing home. Funeral services will be held on Friday, December 1, 2006, at 10:00 a.m., from the Chapel of Prattville Memorial with Reverend Rudolph Esco officiating. Burial will follow in Prattville Memory Gardens, with Prattville Memorial directing. Mrs. Adams was a dedicated member of the Eastern Star 310 and the American Legion Post 122. Mrs. Adams was preceded in death by her son, Gary Adams; her parents, Edgar and Bessie Shelton; and one brother, Bud Shelton. She is survived by her beloved husband of 57 years, Rex Adams, Prattville, AL; two daughters and sons-in-law, Debbie and Kevin Tullier, Shelia and Dewayne Brown, both of Prattville, AL; one sister, Marilyn Jones, Auburndale, FL; one brother, Morrell Shelton, Live Oak, FL; four grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; and numerous other relatives residing throughout the South. The family will receive friends at Prattville Memorial Chapel on Thursday evening from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m.
Annie P. Andrews
ANDREWS, Annie P., 75, a resident of Burkville, AL, died peacefully on Tuesday, September 18, 2007. Graveside services will be held on Friday, September 21, 2007, at 11:00 a.m., at Shell Horn Cemetery, with Reverend Larry McEndarfer, Prattville Memorial Chapel directing. Mrs. Andrews was preceded in death by one grandson, Slade Price. She is survived by her three daughters, Rhonda (David) Meade, Janet (Tommy) Price, and Sarah (Tommy) Blue; six grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; three sisters, Hazel Dixon, Aileen Wood, and Sue (Tom) Phillips; four brothers, Charles Armstrong, J.B. (Nell) Armstrong, Jimmy Armstrong, and Marvin Armstrong; and numerous nieces and nephews. The family will receive friends at Prattville Memorial Chapel on Thursday evening from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m.
Joe Bowden
BOWDEN, Joe William, 64, a resident of Wetumpka, AL, died on Monday, July 3, 2006, at a Montgomery hospital. A graveside service will be held on Thursday, July 5, 2006, at 2:00 p.m., from Faith Baptist Church Cemetery, with Reverend Bill Davis and Reverend Gerald Wood officiating, Prattville Memorial Chapel directing. Mr. Bowden proudly served his country as a Veteran of the United States Army. He is survived by his beloved wife, Carol Bowden; one son, Jody (Tina) Bowden; three step-daughters, Theresa (Drew) Tanney, Paige (Jake) Kyser, and Michelle (Jerry) Abrams; eight grandchildren; and two brothers, George (Chris) Stoddard and Wayne (Phyllis) Stoddard. Special appreciation is extended to the Medical Staff at Baptist South Hospital; Dr. Rodriquez with GMS, and Connie, Gwynn and Saralynn with NSICU.
Lanell Beadlescomb
BEADLESCOMB, Lanell, 60, a resident of Billingsley, AL, died peacefully on Monday, May 10, 2005, after an extended illness. A memorial service will be held on Thursday, May 12, 2005, at 5:00 p.m. from Billingsley Baptist Church, with Reverend Tommy Roy officiating. Mrs. Beadlescomb was preceded in death by her mother, Maggie Mae Rucker Strock; father, Lum Bearden; and two sisters, Dorothy Stewart and Betty Kirby. She is survived by her beloved spouse, Clarence Beadlescomb; two daughters, Debbie (Ray) Price, and Beverly (Andy) Frith; two sons, Doug Derringer and Jerry Beadlescomb; seven grandchildren, D. J. and Michael Derringer, Garrett, Madison and Trinity Price, Adam and Trisha Beadlescomb; one brother and sister-in-law, Sam Rucker, Sr. and Betty Rucker; one sister and brother-in-law, Alice and Billy DeRamus; and numerous nieces and nephews. The family will receive friends at Billingsley Baptist Church following the service Thursday afternoon.
Stephen Bicknell
BICKNELL, PFC. Stephen Dean, (US Army, 82nd Airborne), 19, a resident of Prattville, AL, died a patriot on Sunday, October 15, 2006, while proudly serving his country in Samari, Iraq. Funeral services will be held on Friday, October 27, 2006, at 1:00 p.m., from The First United Methodist Church in Prattville, with Pastor Randy Woodham officiating. Entombment will follow, with full military honors, in the Memorial Mausoleum, Prattville Memory Gardens, with Prattville Memorial Chapel directing. Stephen was a devoted husband, father-to-be, son, brother, teammate, and friend. He was a graduate of Prattville High School, Class of 2005; a notable wide receiver and quarterback for the Prattville Lions Football Team, and the recipient of a scholarship to The University of West Alabama. He enlisted in the United States Army earlier this year and was recently deployed to Iraq. For his meritorious service, while assigned to Company A, 2nd Battalion, 505th Parachute Infantry Regiment during Operation Iraqi Freedom, he was awarded the Bronze Star Medal (Posthumous). For wounds received as a result of hostile actions, he was awarded the Purple Heart (Posthumous), and for his exemplary behavior, efficiency and fidelity in active Federal military service, he was awarded The Good Conduct Medal. “His commitment contributed to our Nation’s continual war on terror and his actions represented his dedication to the security of the United States of America.” “No greater honor can be demonstrated by his ultimate sacrifice and he will be forever remembered for his actions.” He is survived by his loving wife, Miranda Barrett Bicknell; his mother, Linda Bicknell; his father, Jeffery Bicknell; his biological father, Frank Lueck; one brother, Zachery Bicknell; one half-brother, Johnathan Lueck; father-in-law and mother-in-law, Marvin and Marchell Barrett; one grandmother, Somboon Baller; and two aunts, Theresa Rodriquez and Tonya Ramirez. Pallbearers will be the United States Army Honor Guard. Mr. Bosworth was preceded in death by his father, Clarence Bosworth, Sr. He is survived by his beloved wife, Kathy Bosworth; two daughters; Melissa Lucio and Bonnie Bosworth; two sons, Lynzy Bosworth and Jesse Bosworth; three grandchildren, Anna Arroyo, April Lucio, and Christopher Lucio; his mother, Leona Bosworth; three sisters, Ann Turner, Linda Sanders and Juanita Miller; three brothers, Charles Bosworth, Rodney Bosworth, and Terry Bosworth. BRACKNELL, Mary Frances, 56, a resident of Prattville, AL, died peacefully on Wednesday, October 31, 2007, after an extended illness. Mrs. Bracknell is survived by two daughters, Michele Mims and Stephanie Heath; one son, Brandon Bracknell; four grandchildren, Hayden Mims, Cody Heath, Jace Heath, and Jayden Heath; three sisters, Shirley Byrd, Dot Melton, and Margie Knox; seven brothers, Thomas Chavers, Charles Chavers, Allen Leroy Chavers, Billy Wayne Chavers, Marvin Chavers, Clarence Chavers, and Curtis Chavers; and her longtime friend and devoted caregiver, Betty Reese Woods.
Ralph Clark
CLARK, Ralph Dee, 68, a resident of Prattville, AL, passed away on Saturday, January 20, 2007, at Baptist South Hospital in Montgomery, AL. Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, January 23, 2007, at 1:00 p.m., from the Chapel of Prattville Memorial, with Reverend Jim Lester officiating. Burial will follow in Prattville Memory Gardens, with Prattville Memorial Chapel directing. Mr. Clark was born in Cullman, AL on February 28, 1938. He was the son of the late John Riley Clark and Lenny Moss Clark. He proudly served his country as a Veteran of the United States Army. He was an avid fisherman and hunter who truly loved and cared for his dogs. He is survived by his beloved wife of 22 years, Faye Clark; four children, Alicia Hill, Marty Trehern and his wife, Kendra, Mark Trehern, and Denise Clark; 13 grandchildren, Jason, Jeffrey, Elizabeth, Justin, Amy, David, Shane, Rebecca, Brian, Hannah, Daniel, Levi and Dana; very special hunting and fishing buddies, Otto and Howard, and several other special friends. A visitation will be held at Prattville Memorial Chapel on Monday evening from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m.
Russell S. Collins
COLLINS, Russell S., 47, a resident of Prattville, AL, died unexpectedly on Friday, December 7, 2007, after sustaining injuries in an automobile accident. Funeral services will be held on Monday December 10, 2007 at 11:00 a.m. from the Chapel of Prattville Memorial, with Reverend Bryan Easley officiating. Burial will follow in Prattville Memory Gardens with Prattville Memorial Chapel directing. Russell was preceded in death by his father Albert Fred Collins. He is survived by three sisters, Carla Collins, Shayne (Sam) Mullins, and Claire (Gary) Moore; two brothers, Jeff (Tina) Collins and Johnny Herman; his biological mother, Craddie Brown; three nephews, Quinton Herman, Cole Collins, and Brayden Collins; three nieces, Kelsey Collins, Kaitlan Collins, and Haley Herman; his loving step-mother, Patricia Collins; four aunts, Carol Davis, Mary Ann (Ben) Bowden, Edie (Wayne) Fiquett, and Anita Utz; and numerous friends and other relatives. Pallbearers will be Tom Howard, Sam Kopf, Shawn Barton, Robert Bryant, Sid McKissick, Lee Alley, and Kirt Wilson. John D. Earnest
GREENVILLE - Mr. John D. Earnest, 74, a lifelong resident of Greenville, passed away at his home on Thursday, June 9, 2005 of heart failure. He was surrounded by family and friends.
He was a lifelong and faithful member and servant as deacon of Antioch West Baptist Church. He was a member of the Kiwanis Club and served as president in 1979.
He was named Butler County's 1981 Leadership Award winner in the Alabama Resource and Leadership Development Program, Man of the Year and served on the Butler County Water Board.
He was employed at Structural Wood for 38 years. He was well known for his dedicated work at this woodworking shop, Earnest Cabinet Shop.
A celebration of life service will be held at 2 p.m. on Saturday, June 11, 2005 from Antioch West Baptist Church with the Rev. Watson Wasden officiating.
Interment will follow in the Antioch West Cemetery with Harrison Funeral Home directing.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Ruby Cheatham Earnest and his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Jack Earnest.
He is survived by two daughters, Terry (David) Crutchfield, of Birmingham, and Julie (Ryan) Waller, of Decatur; two grandsons, Jackson and Rex Crutchfield, of Birmingham and grandson Jack Ryan Waller, who is due to be born on Aug. 11, 2005; three brothers, Gene Earnest and Van (Jane) Earnest, all of Greenville and Wayne (Betty) Earnest, of Montgomery.
Visitation was held on Friday from 6 to 8 p.m. at Harrison Funeral Home.
Pallbearers will be Harold Turner, Charles Langford, Stringer Pritchett, J.W. McCullough, Carey Thompson and Bill Farrar.
Honorary pallbearers will be Ralph Sims, Loble Hudson, Randy Boswelland Elton Jones.
