Frankie Jo Friend

Frankie Jo Friend, 47, of Georgiana, AL, passed away Tuesday, April 8, 2008. Chapel services will be held Friday, April 11, 2008 at 2:00 p.m., with Rev. Watson Wasden officiating. Burial will follow at Providence Cemetery, with Dunklin & Daniels Funeral Home Directing. Family will receive friends Thursday, April 10, 2008 from 6:00-8:00 p.m. at Dunklin & Daniels Funeral Home.
Mrs. Friend is preceded in death by son, Cody Friend and granddaughter, Brittany Friend. Mrs. Friend is survived by husband, William Dale Friend of Georgiana, AL; daughter, Melissa Friend of Eclectic, AL; four grandchildren; sister, Debbie (Phil) Flynn of Irvin, KY; several nieces and nephews.

Ernest Biggs

BIGGS, Ernest Edgar, 86, a resident of Prattville, AL, died on Friday, December 24, 2004, after an extended illness. Funeral services will be held on Monday, December 27, 2004, at 2:00 p.m., from the Chapel of Prattville Memorial, with a United States Air Force Chaplain officiating. Burial will follow, with full military honors, in Prattville Memory Gardens, with Prattville Memorial Chapel directing. Mr. Biggs honorably served his country for 31 years with the United States Air Force and retired with the rank of Colonel. He is survived by his wife of 52 years, Martha Helen Murphy Biggs, Prattville, AL; one daughter and son-in-law, Bonnie and Mike Fannin, AZ; one son and daughter-in-law, Ernest Edgar Biggs, Jr., and Elizabeth, Springhill, KS; four grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; one sister, Violet Hardin, Springfield, MO, and a host of nieces and nephews. Pallbearers will be The United States Air Force Honor Guard. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be sent to the Autauga County Humane Society, 1009 Ruben Road, Prattville, AL 36067. The family will receive friends at Prattville Memorial Chapel on Monday afternoon from 12:00 noon until 2:00 p.m.

Clifford S. Heartsill

GREENVILLE - Clifford S. Heartsill, 89, of Greenville, died Tuesday, June 7, 2005.
Funeral services were held at 2 p.m. on Friday at First Baptist Church with the Rev. Tim Patton and Dr. Charles Graham officiating.
Burial followed in the Spring Creek Baptist Church Cemetery with Dunklin-Herndon Funeral Home directing.
Mr. Heartsill was a proud veteran of World War II where he served four and half years primarily fighting in the European theatre. After returning to the states, he married Pauline McGough and become an active member of First Baptist Church where was a member for 50 years. He served a s deacon, Sunday School teacher, Brotherhood Director and various other places of service until his health began to fail him. He was a lifetime member of the Masons and Order of Eastern Star fraternity. He loved people and was greatly loved in return.
Mr. Heartsill was preceded in death by one son, Chuck Heartsill, his parents, Charlie and Minnie Staggers Heartsill, four sisters and three brothers.
He is survived by his wife, Pauline (Polly) McGough Heartsill, of Greenville; his son, Rick (Kelli) Heartsill, of Birmingham; five grandson, Raymond, William, Wesley Heartsill, of Birmingham, Vic and Clifford (CJ) Heartsill III, of Wetumpka, a step-grandson, Chris Yates, of Mobile; numerous nieces and nephews, family and friends.
Memorials on his behalf may be given to First Baptist Church of Greenville.

Ruby Nell Bowden

Bowden, Ruby Nell, 53, a resident of Clanton, AL, died peacefully Sunday, August 20, 2006, after an extended illness. A Memorial service will be held on Tuesday, August 22, 2006, at 7:00 p.m., from the Chapel of Prattville Memorial, with Reverend Tony Smitherman officiating, and Prattville Memorial Chapel directing. She is survived by one son, Ronald Chambers; two daughters, Debra Langston and Leslie Connell; one brother, Dan Chandler; four sisters, Dottie Adams, Susan Isbell, Paula Byers, and Melinda Chandler; fourteen grandchildren. The family will receive friends at Prattville Memorial Chapel on Tuesday evening from 6:00 until 7:00 p.m.

Gloria Anderson

ANDERSON, Gloria Lynn, 60, a resident of Millbrook, AL, died peacefully at home on Wednesday, May 23, 2007, after an extended illness. Funeral services will be held on Sunday, May 27, 2007, at 3:00 p.m., from the Chapel of Prattville Memorial, with Reverend Randy Tucker officiating. Burial will follow in Prattville Memory Gardens with Prattville Memorial Chapel directing. Mrs. Anderson was a devoted wife, mother and grandmother. She leaves to cherish her memories, her beloved spouse, James R. Anderson; one daughter, Kearston Henley; four sons, John, Randy, and his wife Tina, Jeff, and Bryan; five grandchildren; one sister, Mattie Lindsey, and one brother, Charles Money. Pallbearers will be Brian Taylor, Cody Hathaway, Brandon Tanner, Shane Bowden, Michael Barrett, and Rusty Simmons. The family will receive friends at Prattville Memorial Chapel on Saturday evening from 5:00 until 7:00 p.m.

James Kendrick Whittington

GEORGIANA - James Kendrick Whittington, 69, of Georgiana, died Wednesday, June 8, 2005.
He was retired from the Georgiana Police Department where he 40 years in service.
Funeral services were held at 3 p.m. on Friday, June 10, 2005 from the Johnson Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Allen Stephenson officiating.
Burial followed in Greenwood Cemetery with Johnson Funeral Home directing.
He is survived by his wife, Shirley Whittington, of Georgiana, his two daughters, Kathy (Jason) Burch, of Deatsville, and Debbie (Randy) Bush, of Prattville; two sons, Kenny (Pam) Whittington, of Greenville and Johnathan (Sania) Tolbert, of Georgiana; sister, Peggy Jones, of Thorsby, two brothers, Leroy Whittington, of Greenville and Charles Whittington, of Pensacola; and six grandchildren.

Margaret Atchison

Atchison, Margaret Rucker, 83, a resident of Prattville, AL, died peacefully at home on Tuesday Oct 17, 2006, after an extended illness. Funeral services will be held on Thursday, October 19, 2006, at 11:00 a.m., from Prattville Memorial Chapel, with Ministers Brian Gibson and Arnold Pledger officiating. Burial will follow in Old Kingston Cemetery, with Jim Owens speaking, and Prattville Memorial Chapel directing. Mrs. Atchison was a devoted wife, mother, and grandmother. She was also a dedicated member of the Prattmont Church of Christ. Mrs. Atchison was preceded in death by her parents, Fred and Pauline Rucker, one sister, Edna Prescott, and one grandson, Chris Golson. She is survived by her beloved husband, L. Howard Atchison; one daughter, Elaine (Woody) Harris; four sons, Austin (Brenda) Golson, David (Karen) Golson, Rudy (Patti) Golson, and Allen (Carol) Golson; eighteen grandchildren; twenty-six great-grandchildren; three brothers, Merton, George, and Pete Rucker; and fifteen nieces and nephews. Pallbearers will be Rob Golson, Jim Golson, Brian Golson, Tra Griffin, Michael Harris, and Brett Harris. The family will receive friends at Prattville Memorial Chapel on Thursday morning one-hour prior to her service.

Annie Lee Boutin

BOUTIN, Annie Lee, 81, a resident of Prattville, AL, died peacefully at her home on Saturday, November 19, 2005. Funeral services will be held on Monday, November 21, 2005, at 3:00 p.m. from the Chapel of Prattville Memorial, with Reverend Greg Melvin officiating. Burial will follow in Prattville Memory Gardens, with Prattville Memorial Chapel directing. Mrs. Boutin was the owner and operator of Stockyard Cafe in Montgomery, AL. She was preceded in death by her beloved spouse, Armand Eli Boutin; parents, James and Hattie Luster; three brothers, James Luster, Thomas Luster and Billy Luster; and one sister, Martha Seamon. She is survived by two sons, Guy (Debbie) Boutin, and Gus Boutin, all of Prattville, AL; one daughter, Janice (Dr. William Newton) Godfree, Gasden, AL; five grandchildren, Bill Godfree, Beth IJohn) Godfree Beaube, James Godfree, Christopher Beaube, and Joseph Beaube; four great-grandchildren, William Newton Godfree, IV, William Thomas Beaube, Ann Katherine Beaube, and Sarah Elizabeth Beaube; four brothers, J. E. Luster, Ray Luster, Wayne Luster and Clarence Luster; two sisters, Jewell Luster Smith and Peggy Luster Thornton; and several nieces and nephews.

Chester Bokum

BOKUM, Chester Paul, 73, a resident of Prattville, AL, died on Wednesday, September 1, 2004, after an extended illness. A Mass of Christian Burial, celebrated by Father Philip McKenna, will be held on Saturday, September 4, 2004, at 1:00 p.m., from St. Joseph Catholic Church. Burial will follow, with full military honors, in Prattville Memory Gardens, with Prattville Memorial Chapel directing. Mr. Bokum honorably served his country for twenty years as a Veteran of the United States Air Force. He was preceded in death by his beloved spouse, Anne McCarley Bokum of Macon, GA; six brothers, John Bokum, Leo Bokum, Theodore Bokum, Henry Bokum, Peter Bokum, Jr., and Edward Kopczynski; and one sister, Irene Capen. He is survived by six sisters, Helen Roy, Pauline Devlin, Edna Diluzio, Florence Dostal, Amelia Wojchick, and Clara Shea; two brothers, Fred Bokum and Joseph Bokum; and several nieces, nephews and cousins. The family will receive friends at Prattville Memorial Chapel on Friday evening from 6:00 until 8:00 p.m.

James Adair

ADAIR, James Walter, 65, a resident of Wetumpka, AL, died peacefully on Friday, December 8, 2006. Funeral services will be held on Monday, December 11, 2006, 2:00 p.m., at Bethel Assembly of God Church in Wetumpka, AL, with Pastor Steve Funderburk officiating. Burial will follow in Prattville Memory Gardens, with Prattville Memorial Chapel directing. Mr. Adair generously served his country in the Alabama State National Guard. He was also the owner and operator of Medical Plans of Alabama in Montgomery, AL. He is survived by his beloved wife of 33 years, Vicki Adair; one daughter, Jennifer “Jenny” Martin; two sons, James Benjamin “Benjy” Adair and Jonathan “Jon” Adair; three grandchildren, Caitlin, Noah and Jade; and his loving mother, Martha Adair Blake. The family will receive friends at Prattville Memorial Chapel on Sunday evening from 5:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. The body of Mr. Adair will lie-in-state at the church one hour prior to his service.
