Addie Lee Collier
COLLIER, Addie Lee, 89, a long-time resident of Prattville, AL, died peacefully on Thursday, December 30, 2004, at a local health care facility. A graveside service will be held on Monday, January 3, 2005, at 11:00 a.m., from Prattville Memory Gardens, with Dr. Travis Coleman officiating, Prattville Memorial Chapel directing. Mrs. Collier was a dedicated employee of the Central Alabama Rural Electric Coop for 49 years and she was a faithful member of The First Baptist Church in Prattville. She was preceded in death by her parents, Marvin and Annie Mae Collier; three brothers, Ernest, Johnnie and Tommie Collier; and two sisters, Lola Mae Spivey and Annie Doris Ellis. She is survived by one sister, Sara Kaminski, Jacksonville, FL; her niece and caregivers, Dee Bowles; two great nieces, Debra Stephens and Dana Mullins, all of Prattville, AL; and a host of other nieces and nephews. The family will receive friends at Prattville Memorial Chapel one hour prior to her service Monday morning from 10:00 until 11:00 a.m.

Greenville - Jearmaine Powell passed away Jan. 15, 2005. Funeral services will be held today, Jan. 22, at noon from Dunber Recreation Center with the Rev. Johnny L. Sanders officiating. Interment will follow in the Pine Level Church Cemetery with Hudson Funeral Home directing.

Greenville - Ora Johnson, 53, passed away Sunday, Jan. 16, 2005. Funeral services will be held Sunday, Jan. 23, at 2 p.m. from the Mount Olive Baptist Church with the Rev. Isaiah Posey officiating. Interment will follow in the church cemetery with Hudson Funeral Home directing.
Betty Colley
COLLEY, Elizabeth “Betty” Sullivan, 91, a resident of Prattville, AL, died peacefully on Sunday, June 11, 2006, at a local health care facility. Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, June 14, 2006, at 2:00 p.m., from the Chapel of Prattville Memorial, with Reverend Ed Henne officiating. Burial will follow in Prattville Memory Gardens, with Prattville Memorial directing. Mrs. Colley was a native of Lowndes County, born January 2, 1915, in Fort Deposit AL. In 1938, she moved to Prattville, AL and was a very active member of the First United Methodist Church in Prattville. After her retirement as District Manager for World Book Encyclopedias, she remained active and gave generously of her time and talent to her church and area civic organizations. She was a charter member of the Prattville Pilot Club. She also served on the Autauga County Department of Human Resources Board, local Cancer Society Board, Retired Senior Volunteer Program, American Association of Retired Persons, and Senior Friends of Northridge Medical Center. She helped form the Prattville Crime Prevention Agency and she served on the mission and evangelism committees of the First United Methodist Church. She was a devoted wife, mother and grandmother, preceded in death by her beloved spouse, Samuel Duffee Colley, and sister, Virginia Sullivan Powell. She is survived by one son and daughter-in-law, James S. and Melanie Colley, Knoxville, TN; one grandson, James Adrian Colley and his wife, Melissa; two great-granddaughters, Sarah and Isabella, all of Summerville, SC; and several nieces and nephews. Pallbearers will be Ray O. Powell, William F. Powell, William F. Powell, II., Charles C. Gray, H. Byron Colley, C. Gray Price and Louis C. Colley. Honorary pallbearers will be Herbie Johnson, Bill Garrett, Ed Grouby, Dr. Kenneth Nichols, Steve Burton, Max McLelland, Johnny Sullivan, and Hoke Sullivan. In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests memorial contributions be sent to the Alzheimers Association of North Alabama, 3322 South Memorial Parkway, Suite 216, Huntsville, AL 35801. BAZZELL, Debra, 42, a resident of Prattville, AL, died peacefully on Monday, January 7, 2008, at a local hospital. Burial will follow in Oak Hill Cemetery, with Prattville Memorial Chapel directing. She is survived by her husband, Clarence “Skinny” Chavers; one daughter, Marlana Bazzell; one son, Shane Bazzell; one sister, Belinda (Frank) Vick; one brother, James (Jennifer) Bazzell; her mother, Mary Bazzell; one grandmother, Marie Nance; and numerous nieces, nephews, and friends. Coggins, Margaret Burnette, 68, a resident of Prattville, AL, died peacefully on Saturday, November 26, 2005, at a Montgomery hospital. Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, November 30, 2005, at 11:00 a.m., from the Chapel of Prattville Memorial, with Reverend Allen Cova officiating. Burial will follow in Prattville Memory Gardens with Prattville Memorial Chapel directing. Mrs. Coggins was preceded in death by one son, Jeffrey Coggins. She is survived by her beloved spouse, Sidney Earl Coggins, Prattville, AL; one daughter and son-in-law, Sheila and Ken Smith, Deatsville, AL; five grandchildren, Lauren Kezer, Kelsey Coggins, Corey Coggins, Amanda Smith, and Lacelle Nelson; one great-granddaughter, Aleyce Kezer; one daughter-in-law, Valerie Dees, Slapout, AL; two brothers and sisters-in-law, Aubrey and Faye Burnette, Clanton, AL, Eason and Jerry Burnette, Lawley, AL; and several nieces and nephews, including Jimmy (Linda) Thompson, Birmingham, AL. Ernest Edward Skipper
GREENVILLE - Mr. Ernest Edward Skipper, 85, of Fort Deposit, died Monday, June 6, 2005.
Funeral services were held on Thursday, June 9, 2005 at 11 a.m. from the graveside at Little Sandy Ridge Cemetery with the Rev. Joel Snell officiating and Harrison Funeral Home directing.
Visitation was held on Wednesday, June 8, 2005 at Harrison Funeral Home.
He is survived by his two daughters, Juanita S. (Billy G. ) Norris of Honoraville and Sylvia (Ronnie F.) Pruitt, of Cordova, Tenn.; four sisters, Beatrice Heartsill and Merle Pruitt, both of Mobile, Nellie Roper of Lafayette, La. and Jeannette Thompson, of Greenville; two brothers, Elvin Skipper, of Greenville and Ray Skipper of Georgia; five grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren.
Mr. Skipper was preceded in death by his wife, Elizabeth Skipper, sister Annie M. Jennings, and one brother, Earl Skipper.

Fred Collins
COLLINS, Albert “Fred,” 68, a resident of Prattville, AL, died at home on Sunday, June 18, 2006, after a courageous battle with cancer. God chose this special day for such a dedicated, loving father to join Him in heaven. Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, June 21, 2006, at 3:00 p.m., from the Chapel of Prattville Memorial with Reverend Bryan Easley officiating. Burial will follow in Prattville Memory Gardens, with Prattville Memorial Chapel directing. Mr. Collins is survived by one daughter, Carla Collins; two sons, Russell Collins and Jeff (Tina) Collins; one step-son, Johnny Herman; six grandchildren, Kelsey, Kaitlan, Cole, Brayden, Quinton, and Haley; and two sisters, Mary Ann (Ben) Bowden and Edie (Wayne) Fiquett. Pallbearers will be D. Wayne Perdue, Tom Howard, Damon Brown, Shawn Barton, Wayne Mooney, and Skip Lobmiller. An honorary pallbearer will be Thomas Brooks. The family will receive friends at Prattville Memorial Chapel on Tuesday evening from 6:00 until 8:00 p.m.
Mattie Lou Odum
Mattie Lou Odum, 89, a resident of Brantley, died Thursday Feb. 28, 2008.
Funeral services were held Monday March 3, 2008 at 2 p.m. at Mills Chapel with the Rev. Mickey Ray Skipper and the Rev. Walter Brewer officiating.
Interment will follow in Mills Chapel Cemetery with Harrison Funeral Home of Greenville directing.
Survivors include her son, Jim (Jo) Odom, Houston, Texas; one daughter, Linda (Dale) Harrison, Greenville; one brother, Horace (Linda) Grayson, Glenwood; 21 grandchildren and 27 great grandchildren.
Mrs. Odom was preceded in death by her husband Oliver Odom, sons, Ollie Ray Odom, Lee Wayne Odom and Johnny Don Odom.
