Sara Marie Glenn
GLENN, Sara Marie Holmes, 87, a resident of Prattville, AL, passed away peacefully at her home on Sunday, September 17, 2006. Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, September 20, 2006, at 2:00 p.m., from the Chapel of Prattville Memorial, with Reverend Don Nixon officiating. Burial will follow in Prattville Memory Gardens, with Prattville Memorial Chapel directing. Mrs. Glenn was a devoted wife, mother, and grandmother. She was preceded in death by her beloved husband of 56 years, Thomas Woodrow Glenn, Sr. She will be cherished in memory by three daughters and spouses, Sara Lolley, Emily (Roy) Snowden, all of Prattville, AL, and Faye (Will) Garretson, Irvington, AL; two sons and spouses, Thomas W. “Bubba” and Gay Glenn, Roy (Shirley) Glenn, all of Prattville, AL; 13 grandchildren; 24 great-grandchildren, and one great-great grandchild. Also left behind is her constant and beloved pet “Woodie.” Pallbearers will be William A. “Chip” Oates, Corky Snowden, Trace Snowden, Michael Lolley, Tad Glenn, Troy Glenn, James Garretson, and Alex Stanley. Special appreciation is extended to the caretakers of Baptist Hospice for their care and compassion. The family will receive friends at Prattville Memorial Chapel on Tuesday evening from 6:00 until 8:00 p.m.
Jimmy Dale Hunter
Hunter, Jimmy Dale, 59, a resident of Prattville, AL, died on Saturday, March 31, 2007. Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, April 4, 2007, at 2:00 p.m., from the Chapel of Prattville Memorial, with Pastor Dale McCoy officiating. Burial will follow in Prattville Memo`ry Gardens, with Prattville Memorial Chapel directing. He is survived by his beloved fiance, Betty Miller; four sons; one daughter; 15 grandchildren; his mother, Ann Shabrach; one sister; one brother; and a host of other family members and friends.
Richard Eubanks
EUBANKS, Richard Harold, 51, a native of Kentucky and current resident of Prattville, AL, died on Sunday, October 1, 2006, at a local hospital. Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, October 4, 2006, at 10:00 a.m., from the Chapel of Prattville Memorial, with Pastor Larry Burke officiating, Prattville Memorial Chapel directing. Mr. Eubanks proudly served his country as a Veteran of the United States Marines and the United States Navy. He is survived by his beloved wife, Carol Eubanks, Prattville, AL; three sisters, Susan Schweitzer, Coraopolis, PA, Margaret Browning, Ardmore, AL, and Janet (Danny) Reid, Prattville, AL; and several nieces and nephews. The family will receive friends at Prattville Memorial Chapel on Tuesday evening from 5:30 p.m. until 8:00 p.m.
Jean Carolyn Hickman
Hickman, Jean Carolyn, 59, a resident of Prattville, AL, died on Monday, April 9, 2007. Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, April 11, 2007, at 10:00 a.m., from the First Baptist Church, with Dr. Travis Coleman officiating. Graveside services will be held on Wednesday April 11, 2007, at 3:00 p.m. at Memory Hill Cemetery in Dothan, AL, with Prattville Memorial Chapel directing. Mrs. Hickman was a dedicated member at the First Baptist Church. She participated in the Spinner’s Club and was a member of the RSVP. She worked at Sears in Montgomery for 37 years before she retired. Mrs. Hickman was preceded in death by her son, Brian Hickman, her father, James L. Marshall, and two sisters, Pamela and Susan. She is survived by her beloved husband of 32 years, Louie Hickman, Prattville, AL; two daughters, Inga (George) Adams, Ft. Leonard Wood, MO, and Kelli (Michael) Pugh, Millbrook, AL; one son, Drew Hickman, Knoxville, TN; four grandchildren, Brian Adams, Emily Adams, Tyler Pugh, and Gracie Pugh; her mother, Imogene Marshall; and a host of other family members and friends. Pallbearers will be Michael Pugh, George Adams, Charles Perry, Ron Bryant, Eddie Lester, and Pat Mullins. Charles "Sonny" Knight
KNIGHT, Charles Edward “Sonny,” 72, a resident of Prattville, AL, died on Monday, August 23, 2004, at a Montgomery hospital. A graveside service will be held on Wednesday, August 25, 2004, at 11:00 a.m., from the Garden of Christus in Prattville Memory Gardens, with Reverend Randy Tucker officiating, Prattville Memorial Chapel directing. Mr. Knight honorably served his country as a veteran of the United States Army during the Korean War. He was preceded in death by his parents, E. C. and Annie Bell Knight. He is survived by three sisters and one brother-in-law, Muriel Ingram, Alma and Ben Hurst, and Twilah Hand; and one brother and sister-in-law, Robert Earl “Pete” and Marian Knight, all of Prattville, AL. Everyone is invited to assemble at the graveside.
Donald Ray Greene
GREENE, Sr., Donald Ray, 57, a resident of Prattville, AL, died unexpectedly on Thursday, March 13, 2008. Funeral services will be held on Sunday, March 16, 2008, at 2:00 p.m., from the Chapel of Prattville Memorial, with Pastor Glenn Graham officiating. Burial will follow in Prattville Memory Gardens, Prattville Memorial Chapel. Mr. Greene served his country for over twenty years in the United States Air Force. Mr. Greene was a dedicated member of East Memorial Baptist Church. He was preceded in death by his parents, R.D. and Fannie Greene; and one brother, Pete Greene. He is survived by his beloved spouse of 38 years, Pat Greene; one daughter, Cristy (Mark) Andrews; one son, Donald (Betty) Greene, Jr.; three grandchildren, Tripp Greene, Megan Andrews, and John Mark Andrews; one sister, Shirley Killough; three brothers, Bill (Dot) Greene, Russell (Maxine) Greene, and Danny (Becky) Greene; and numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins. Pallbearers will be the United States Air Force Honor Guard. He is survived by one son, Cliff Holt, Prattville, AL; four daughters and sons-in-law, Angela and Curtis Pearsall, Millbrook, AL, Toni and Jack Morgan, Smith Station, AL, Dale and Danny Gissendanner, Pelham, AL, and Thereasa Black, Prattville, AL; 14 grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; two sisters and one brother-in-law, Joyce Klinner, Carol and Sonny Royster, all of Talladega, AL; and one sister-in-law, Jean Smith, Sylacauga, AL. Tom Hugh Kennedy
Kennedy, Tom Hugh, Sr., Our loving husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather, brother and friend went home to his Lord December 26, 2006, at 8:30 a.m. at the age of 74. He is preceded in death by his foster parents, Phillip Huntley and Pearl Connell, his daughter, Elizabeth Wren Kennedy, grandson, Christopher Hugh Levering, his sister-in-law, Alice Blackburn, his brother-in-law, James Lafayette Eason, his mother-in-law, Bernice “Ne-Ne” Eason, his son, James Eason Kennedy and foster sister Marie Clark. He leaves behind his loving wife and friend of over 49 years, Rubye Eason Kennedy; children MaryAlice Kennedy, Tom Hugh Kennedy, Jr., Kimberly Kennedy, Olivia Dawn Levering (Martin), Patrick Lafayette Kennedy (Len), Heather Leigh Lackey (Bobb), George Huntley “Chip” Kennedy (Leanne), and Robert William Kennedy (Hayley); sister, Mary Ellen Hollon; foster brothers and sisters, Lawson Lee, Christine Hornady (Jack), Lillie Mae Faircloth and Margie Taunton; 13 grandchildren, Robert William Kennedy, Olivia, Sarah and Andrew Levering, Jamie, Cory, Lauren and Alyssa Kennedy; Samatha, Georgia and Shelby Kennedy, Jennings Wright and Kaylen Kennedy; one great grandchild Alexandria Marie Kennedy. Mr. Kennedy was a Korean War Veteran in thee United States Navy. He was very generous with his time and talent as a member of the First United Methodist Church; Masons; Lions Club;, the Forty and Eight; and AARP; a member of the Democratic Executive Committee; RSVP Advisory Council; former City Councilman; active in the Dixie Youth Baseball League and retired from the State of Alabama. Mr. Kennedy graduated from Stark University in Montgomery, Al. And through his generosity, he was an organ donor. Funeral Services will be held on Friday, December 29, 2006, at 2:00 p.m., from First United Methodist Church, with Pastor Randy Woodham officiating. Burial will follow at Prattville Memory Gardens with Memorial Chapel directing.
