HOLLOWAY, Nellie Ilene, 70, a resident of Montgomery, AL, died peacefully, on Thursday, January 24, 2008, at a Montgomery hospital. Funeral services will be held on Sunday, January 27, 2008, at 4:00 p.m., from the Chapel of Prattville Memorial, with Reverend ______________ officiating. Burial will follow in Prattville Memory Gardens, with Prattville Memorial Chapel directing. Mrs. Holloway was a devoted wife, mother and grandmother. She was preceded in death by her beloved spouse, James Holloway and one daughter, Marie Pennington. She is survived by four daughters, Norma, Peggy, Judy, and Sheila; five sons, Dale, Woody, Donny, Jimmy, and Henry; 31 grandchildren; 40 great-grandchildren, and numerous nieces and nephews. The family will receive friends at Prattville Memorial Chapel one hour prior to her service from 3:00 until 4:00 p.m.

HUGHES, Jimmy Cary, 74, a resident of Coosada, AL., died on Thursday, October 27, 2005 at his residence. Graveside services will be held on Sunday, October 30, 2005 at 2:00 p.m. from Prattville Memory Gardens with Speaker Ted Calhoun officiating, Prattville Memorial Chapel directing. Mr. Hughes is survived by his wife of 42 years, Dorothy Hughes, one son, David Hughes, Coosada, AL., five Daughters, Debra (Willie) Petty, Montgomery, AL, Julie Jones, and Brenda (Tiny) Mooney both of Wetumpka, AL, Donna (Darrell) Hunt, Coosada, AL. and Gail Smitherman, Clanton, AL, Stepson, George Jackson, Tallaega, AL., 9 Grandchildren and 13 Great Grandchildren. Three Sisters, Mattie (Buster) Gardner. Elmore, AL, Lonnie (Jim) Scott, Millbrook, AL, Marie (Baxter) Correll, Texas. Devoted neighbors James and Helene Folmar and Roy and Angela Mosley. Special thank you to Dr Danny Ingram and Staff, Dr Alfred Newman and Staff and Mid-South Home Health and Staff. DONALDSON, Blake Tylor, 6, a resident of Prattville, AL, died accidentally on Sunday, June 5, 2005. Funeral services will be held on Thursday, June 9, 2005, at 11:00 a.m., from the Chapel of Prattville Memorial, with Pastor Sherwood Fannin officiating. Burial will follow in Mt. Zion Methodist Church Cemetery with Prattville Memorial Chapel directing. Blake was preceded in death by his grandfather, Ken Donaldson. He is survived by his loving parents, Randy and Tiffany Donaldson of Prattville, AL; two sisters, Shelby Rai Donaldson and Bonnie LeeAnn Martin; grandparents, Susan Donaldson, Andy and Fran Rawlinson; aunts and uncles, Andrew, Terri, Andreus, Nick, Chad, Becca, Patrick and Sharon; cousins, Cole, Brook, Alexis, Ashlon, Austin, and Michael; and numerous other aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends. Thelma Henderson
Henderson, Thelma C., 89, a resident of Prattville, Alabama, passed away on Saturday, August 14, 2004, at a local hospital. A graveside service will be held on Monday, August 16, 2004, at 11:00 a.m., from the Chapel of Prattville Memorial, with Dr. Travis Coleman and Dr. LeRoy Stringfield officiating. Burial will follow at Prattville Memory Gardens, with Prattville Memorial Chapel direcing. Mrs. Henderson was preceded in death by her husband of 54 years, Earl S. Henderson. She is survived by one daughter and son-in-law, Marilyn and Len Morrison, Prattville, AL; two grandchildren, Kenneth (Mitzi) Morrison, Oxford, AL, and Lyndy (Hal) Davis, Prattville, AL; three great-grandchildren, Stuart Morrison, Leigh Davis, and Hallie Davis; best friend and companion, "Peewee," Active pallbearers will be Kenneth Morrison, Stuart Morrison, Hal Davis, Herbie Johnson, Wesley Ross, and David Wright. Charles Johnson
JOHNSON, Charles W., (TSgt USAF, Ret’d), 47, of Prattville, AL, died unexpectedly on Sunday, December 31, 2006. Funeral services will be held on Friday, January 5, 2007, at 11:00 a.m., from the Chapel of Prattville Memorial, with Jzyk Ennis officiating. Entombment will follow, with full military honors, in the Memorial Mausoleum in Prattville Memory Gardens, with Prattville Memorial Chapel directing. Charlie was born August 5, 1959 in Pensacola, FL. He attended several schools and moved several times with his family while his father served in the United States Navy. He graduated from Richard Montgomery High School and attended Montgomery County Community College in Rockville, MD. He obtained his basic training at Lackland Air Force Base in Texas and served his country honorably for 22 years with the United States Air Force retiring in January of 2005. Charlie was a basketball official with the Alabama High School Athletic Association and the East Branch YMCA. He was also a foster parent with the Autauga County Department of Human Resources. He will be greatly missed by his beloved wife and best friend, Dixie Johnson; daughter, Heidy; step-son, Kaleb Thede; Jeremy, Jessica, Devin and Nina; his mother, Claudia Faye Johnson; sister, LouAnn Johnson; brother, Scott Johnson, all of Jacksonville, FL; his mother-in-law and father-in-law, Emmet and Margaret Peter, Story City, Iowa; and other numerous family members and friends. He was preceded in death by his father, Lewis Johnson, and his grandparents. In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests memorials be donated to the Prattville YMCA East Branch, 972 McQueen Smith Road South, Prattville, AL 36067, in memory of Charlie Johnson. GILBERT, Flora Mae, 79, a resident of Pike Road, AL, formerly of Millbrook, AL, went home to be with her Lord and Savior on Monday, January 1, 2007, at the home of her daughter and son-in-law, Terrie and Paul Lanier, in Montgomery, AL. A graveside service will be held on Thursday, January 4, 2007, at 11:00 a.m. from Brookside Memorial Gardens, with Reverend Jerry Walls officiating, Prattville Memorial Chapel directing. Mrs. Gilbert was a devoted wife, mother and “Maw Maw.” She was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Hyram “Cowboy” Gilbert and daughter, Donna. In addition to her daughter and son-in-law, she is survived by one son and daughter-in-law, Donald “Skeeter” and Mary Gilbert, Pike Road, AL; four grandchildren, Summer (Kelly) Bass, Zack Lanier, Katie Lanier and Garrett Lanier; one great-granddaughter, Mary Margaret Bass; one sister, Mary Ethel Ventura, Valdosta, GA; two brothers, George “Pete” (Linda) Hathcock, Tacoma, WA, and Carl (Hattie) Hathcock, AR; numerous nieces and nephews, and two special friends, Jo Walls and Harriett Moye. A kind expression of appreciation is extended to Dr. Mont Highley and his staff and to Sherry Rossi, R.N., and “Helping Hearts Hospice” for their exceptional care and compassion. She is survived by her husband, Richard E. Dekens, Coosada, AL; one daughter, Carole Askew, Coosada, AL; three sons, Floyd (Mary) White, Wetumpka, AL, Michael (Tammy) White, Coosada, AL, and Phillip (Mary) White, Holtville, AL; twenty-one grandchildren; one daughter-in-law, Vickie White; and numerous great grandchildren, great-great grandchildren, and other relatives.
