HOOTS, Felicia Jane, 41, a resident of Montgomery, AL, died peacefully on Tuesday, January 8, 2008, at a Montgomery hospital. Funeral services will be held on Friday, January 11, 2008, at 1:00 p.m., at Hunter Hills Church, with Ministers Mark Raughton and Jim Lester officiating. Burial will follow in Prattville Memory Gardens, with Prattville Memorial Chapel directing. Mrs. Hoots was a devoted wife and loving mother who will be dearly missed by all who knew her. She is survived by her beloved husband, Benny Hoots; one daughter, Nicole Dean Hoots; one son, Nicholas Ray Hoots; mother, Sharon Ray (Harold) Jones; father, Fred (Sherry) Ray; one sister, Sharette Ray (Darryl) Bruner; one step-brother, Steve (Ellen) Bryson; one grandmother, Minnie Estes; three nephews, Byron, Ethan, and Dylan Bruner; one niece, Jennifer Hoots; two brothers-in-law, Rickey Hoots and Wayne (Cathy) Hoots; and numerous other relatives and friends. Horace "Bully" Horn
HORN, Horace Wyatt “Bully,” 73, (MSgt. USAF, Ret’d), a resident of Millbrook, AL, died peacefully on Thursday, March 29, 2007, at his residence. Graveside services will be held on Saturday, March 31, 2007, at 1:00 p.m., from the Garden of Valor in Prattville Memory Gardens, with Chaplain John von Alman officiating, Prattville Memorial Chapel directing. Mr. Horn was a devoted husband, father and grandfather who honorably served his country for 24 years as a Veteran of the United States Air Force. “Coach Horn,” as he was well known and loved, played an active role in his community by coaching Little League football and baseball for the Dixie Youth and the Central Alabama Football League. He also umpired for several girl’s softball teams. He is survived by his beloved wife, Lottie Horn, Millbrook, AL; one son and daughter-in-law, Stephen and Nancy Horn, Allen, TX; one daughter and son-in-law, Julia and Cecil Bridges, Holtville, AL; five granddaughters, Maria (Jonathan) Atkins, Valerie (Brandon) Barrett, K.D. Bridges, Alexis Horn, and Nicole (Jason) Rautbort; one great-grandson, Drey Barrett; and two great-granddaughters, Ashley Atkins and Dorianne Rautbort; five sisters, Virginia (Jowel) Weldon, Bobbie (Ken) Fuller, Rockmart, GA, Dorothy Gurley, Talladega, AL, Ruth (Frederick) Mitchell, and Mary Jim “Sissy” (Don) Sanders; one brother, Guy Gurley; and several beloved nieces and nephews. JEFFCOAT, Annie Laura, 77, a resident of Montgomery, AL, died peacefully on Monday, August 6, 2007, at her residence. Burial will follow in Prattville Memory Gardens with Prattville Memorial Chapel directing. Mrs. Jeffcoat was preceded in death by her beloved husband, William E. Jeffcoat. She is survived by three sons, WM Larry (Linda) Jeffcoat, James WM (Lisa) Jeffcoat, and Wayne E. Jeffcoat; one daughter, Dorothy (Jimmy) LaPorte; four grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren. Pallbearers will be Wade Aldridge, Christopher Collins, Jimmy Preskitt, Mack Hill, Tony LaPorte, and Jason Jeffcoat. LANG, Gladys Hines, 88, a resident of Prattville, AL, died peacefully on Monday, August 7, 2006, at a Montgomery health care facility. Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, August 9, 2006, at 2:00 p.m., from the Chapel of Prattville Memorial, with Reverend Tony Byrd officiating. Burial will follow in Cooper’s Cemetery, Cooper’s, AL, with Prattville Memorial Chapel directing. Mrs. Hines was preceded in death by two daughters, Morrow Hines and Murry Nell Wessenberg, and one son, Gerald Dean Hines. She is survived by one daughter, Mary Estelle Hancock; three sons, Willie D. Hines, J. D. Hines, and Jerry Hines; 26 grandchildren; numerous great-grandchildren; five sisters, Grace Inez Joiner, Arleda Martin, Elsie Culpepper, Tiny Worley, and Ann Bice; and one son-in-law, Tom Wessenberg. The family will receive friends at Prattville Memorial Chapel on Tuesday evening from 6:00 until 8:00 p.m.

GIPSON, Richard Emerson, 58, a life-long resident of Prattville, AL, died on Saturday, April 23, 2005, at a local health care facility. Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, April 26, 2005, at 10:00 a.m., from the Chapel of Prattville Memorial, with Reverend Randy Woodham officiating. Burial will follow in Prattville Memory Gardens, with Prattville Memorial Chapel directing. Mr. Gipson was preceded in death by his parents, H. M. Gipson and Emerson Ashmore Gipson. He is survived by two brothers, H. Mac (Mary Lee) Gipson, Jr., Prattville, AL, and Philip A. (Emilyn) Gipson, Auburn, AL; seven nieces and nephews, Meg Lowry, H. M. Gipson, III, Robert A. Gipson, JoElla G. McIntosh, Terri G. LeCroy, Philip A. Gipson, Jr., and Ella G. Sita; and numerous great nieces and great nephews. Jones, Litha Lucille, 83, died peacefully at her home in Deatsville, AL on Sunday, January 9, 2005. Mrs. Jones was preceded in death by her beloved spouse of 67 years, John Daniel Jones; one daughter, Betty Jean Jones; one son, James Henry Jones. She is survived by one daughter, Sarah Williamson; one son, Donald Jones, both of Deatsville, AL; 15 grandchildren, 26 great-grandchildren, five great-great grandchildren. Talmadge Farley
FARLEY, Talmadge Edgar, 79, a native of Cullman County, AL and former resident of Prattville, AL, died peacefully on Sunday, December 4, 2005, in Andalusia, AL. Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, December 6, 2005, at 1:00 p.m., from the Chapel of Prattville Memorial, with Reverend Greg Cotter officiating. Burial will follow in Prattville Memory Gardens with Prattville Memorial Chapel directing. Mr. Farley was a graduate of Saint Bernard College in Cullman, AL and studied engineering at the University of Alabama. He traveled the world as an engineer designing aircraft and he was best known at the “Perfect Samaritan” always available to help family, friends and others whom he did not know. His hobbies included fishing, stamp and coin collecting, and automotive repairs and sales. He was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Lorene Farley; parents, James and Lottie Farley; brothers, Ernest Farley, Earl Farley, and Elmer Farley; and sisters, Mattie Kilgore and Polly Holloway. He is survived by one son and daughter-in-law, Ellis and Marci Farley; one daughter and son-in-law, Phyllis and Bob Reder; four grandchildren, Mason Farley, Marshall Farley, Phillip Reder and Tammy Reder; one great-granddaughter, Keelin Reder; two sisters, Tressie Timmons and Pearlie Moon; two special sisters, Sue Smith and Velvie Farley; and many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends that were dearly loved by Talmadge. Active pallbearers will be Blake Turman, Pat Price, Jason Burch, Matt Kennedy, Ellis Faulkner, and Johnny Hammond. Honorary pallbearers will be Mike Maloney and the State Troopers of Alabama. Danilo Grabiel
GRABIEL, Danilo, 83, a native of Cuba and current resident of Prattville, AL, died peacefully on Friday, October 6, 2006, at Prattville Baptist Hospital. A memorial service will be held on Sunday, October 8, 2006, at 2:30 p.m., from the Chapel of Prattville Memorial, with Father Philip McKenna officiating, Prattville Memorial Chapel directing. Mr. Danilo was born and raised in Havana, Cuba. He later escaped communism and moved to Venezuela for 20 years where he owned and operated his own printing company. He moved to the United States with his family in the early 80’s and continued a career in sales in Tampa, FL. He was a proud member of Casa Cuba; an Afisionado of the Spanish Lyric Theater in Tampa, and a member of the Spanish Choir at St. Lawrence Catholic Church. He was a loving and devoted husband, father, brother, uncle and friend. He was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Edelmira de la Caridad, and one sister, Adda Grabiel. He is survived by his daughter and son-in-law, Lily and Frank Bagala, Millbrook, AL; one sister, Irma Grabiel, Miami, FL; one sister-in-law, Teresa Sanchez, Tampa, FL; one niece, Maria J. Castillo; and four nephews, Mario Castillo, Rosendo Castillo, Jose Castillo and Rick Castillo.
