Denson Joiner
JOINER, James Denson, 70, a resident of White City, AL, died peacefully on Friday, September 23, 2005, at a Montgomery hospital.
Funeral services will be held on Monday, September 26, 2005, at 10:00 a.m., from White Pond Baptist Church, with Reverend Lamar Lyon and Reverend Bobby Holladay officiating, assisted by Collier Hunt.
Burial will follow in White Pond Baptist Church Cemetery, with Prattville Memorial Chapel directing.
Mr. Joiner was self-employed as a general contractor and was highly recognized as a “Jack-of-all-Trades.”
He will be dearly missed by all who knew and loved him.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Durell and Lula Mae Joiner, and one brother, Charles Joiner.
He is survived by his beloved wife of 47 years, Mary Payton Joiner, White City, AL; two daughters and sons-in-law, Eloise and David Chandler, Billingsley, AL, Tina and Loren Crawford, White City, AL; one son, Kevin Joiner, White City, AL; three grandchildren, Adam Chandler, Matthew Chandler, and Charly Norman; one sister, Faye Nobles, White City, AL; and numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
Active pallbearers will be Terrel Colee, Ken Fisher, J. W. Huett, Wayne Bolt, George Brashier, and Johnny Cooley.
Honorary pallbearers will be the Adult II Mens Sunday School Class.
Flowers will be accepted, but memorial contributions may be sent to the White Pond Baptist Church, c/o The Youth Van Fund, 1898 County Road 21, Prattville, AL 36067.
The body of Mr. Joiner will lie-in-state at the church one-half hour prior to his service.
The family will receive friends at Prattville Memorial Chapel on Sunday evening from 5:00 until 7:00 p.m.
Mildred Cauthen King
Mildred Cauthen King died peacefully Saturday night, December 23, 2006, at her home near Prattville.
Mrs. King was a life long resident of Alabama.
She was born in Jemison, reared in Wetumpka, and spent most of her adult life in Prattville.
She received an A. B. degree from Alabama College in Montevallo and a Master's degree from Auburn University.
She taught school in the Alabama Public School system in Elmore and Autauga counties for over thirty years.
She served as appointed Superintendent of Education in Autauga County and as principal of Prattville Primary School.
Mrs. King was a faithful member of the First Baptist Church of PRattville, where she was superintendent of the Beginners' Sunday School department for thirty-five years and teacher of the TEL adult Sunday School class for twelve years.
She was a charter member of the Beta Zeta Chapter of the Delta Kappa Gamma Society.
Mrs. King was the wife of the late James Bertram King, the daughter of the late Seaton Grantland and Corine Burk Cauthen, and sister of the late Milton Cauthen.
She is survived by her daughters and sons-in-law Judy and Ronald Fleming and Kathy and Albert Sheffer.
The family gratefully acknowledges the extraordinary care given to Mrs. King by her helpers Judi Livingston, Brenda Dennis, and JoAnne Willis.
The family will receive friends at Prattville Memorial Chapel from 3:00 p.m. until 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday, December 26, 2006.
Mrs. King's funeral will be held at the First Baptist Church of Prattville at 2:00 p.m. on Wednesday, December 27, 2006, with Dr. Travis Coleman officiating.
Interment will follow with a private graveside service at Prattville Memory Gardens.
Members of the TEL class at the First Baptist Church and members of Beta Zeta Chapter of Delta Kappa Gamma will serve as honorary pallbearers.

Tara Lambert
LAMBERT, Tara Michelle, 30, a resident of Prattville, AL, died unexpectedly on Wednesday, June 6, 2007.
A graveside service will be held on Saturday, June 9, 2007, at 12:30 p.m., from Prattville Memory Gardens, with Reverend Carl Reed and Reverend Susan Beeson officiating, Prattville Memorial Chapel directing.
Tara was a graduate of Prattville High School, Class of 1996.
At the time of her death, she was a dedicated nurse’s aide at Hickory Hill Assisted Living.
She was preceded in death by her grandfather, W. T. Carter, and one uncle, Lewis Dale Carter.
She is survived by her father and step-mother, Roger and Sabrina Lambert, Prattville, AL; her mother, Carol Burchett, Montgomery, AL; one sister, Rachel Lambert, Millbrook, AL; one brother, Cody Lambert, Macon, GA; grandparents, Samuel and Lillian Lambert, Prattville, AL; grandmother, Lovie Carter, Montgomery, AL; three uncles, Staford (Nancy) Lambert, Prattville, AL, Randy Lambert, Dothan, AL, Wayne (June) Lambert, Prattville, AL; and one aunt, Patty Sutherland, Prattville, AL.

Carolyn Knight
Knight, Carolyn Jan, 45, a resident of Prattville, AL, died unexpectedly on Sunday, November 6, 2005, at a local hospital.
Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, November 8, 2005, at 7:00 p.m. from Prattville Memorial Chapel with Rev. Glenn Brock and Youth Pastor Terry Jimerson officiating, with Prattville Memorial directing.
Mrs. Knight is survived by her beloved spouse, Danny Knight; three sons, Calann Taylor Knight, Christopher John Taylor, and Micah Christian Taylor; one daughter, Susie Knight; one sister, Tammy Reynolds; one brother, Edward Earl Taylor, Jr.

John Michael Lee
Lee, John Michael “Mike”, 45, a resident of Prattville, AL, died on Wednesday, October 26, 2005, at his residence after a courageous battle with cancer with his family at his side.
Funeral services will be held on Friday, October 28, 2005, at 1:00 p.m., from the First Baptist Church, with Dr. Travis Coleman and Rev. Jim Horton officiating.
Burial will follow in Prattville Memory Gardens with Prattville Memorial Chapel directing.
He is survived by his wife, Benita Evans Lee; three daughters, Meagan Lee, Morgan Lee, and Evan Walls; one son, Marshall Walls; his parents, James and Carolyn Lee; two sisters, Dale (Cas) McCurdy and Jan (Rusty) Yates; mother and father-in-law, Henry and Loretta Evans; two brother-in-laws, Al (Kathy) Evans and David (Lisa) Evans; nieces and nephews, Matthew and Mallory McCurdy, Josh, Alexis, and Noah Evans, Payton and Preston Wallace.
Honorary pallbearers will be the Union Camp Wood Yard and Pulp Division and Ricky Lee.

Sara Lewis
LEWIS, Sara Ann Browning, 62, a resident of Prattville, AL, died peacefully at home on Thursday, July 14, 2005.
Funeral services will be held on Saturday, July 16, 2005, at 10:00 a.m., from the Chapel of Prattville Memorial, with Reverend Chip Smith officiating.
Burial will follow in Faith Bible Church Cemetery, with Prattville Memorial Chapel directing.
Mrs. Lewis retired from the Central Alabama Electric Cooperative after twenty-one years of service.
She was preceded in death by her mother, Forace Browning, and sister, Glenda Faye Browning.
She is survived by her beloved spouse of 44 years, Rhett Lewis; one son and daughter-in-law, Richard and Sarah Lewis; one grandson, Jeremy Lewis, all of Prattville, AL; her father, Marshall Browning, Sylacauga, AL; and one brother and sister-in-law, Bobby Joe and Janie Browning, Roanoke, VA.
Pallbearers will be Kirk Green, Jimmy Sims, John Mims, Chuck Billings, Terry Mullins, Robby Jones, Greg Lewis, and Gerald Beckwith.
Honorary pallbearers will be Members of her Sunday School Class at Glynwood Baptist Church.
The family will receive friends at Prattville Memorial Chapel one hour prior to her service.
