Funeral services will be held on Sunday, August 19, 2007, at 11:00 a.m., from the Chapel of Prattville Memorial, with Dr. Rod Merideth officiating. Burial will follow in Prattville Memory Gardens, with Prattville Memorial Chapel directing. Mr. Ponder is survived by his beloved wife; two sons; one sister, and three grandchildren. PATRICIA SUE PINSON
PINSON, Patricia Sue, 56, a resident of Prattville, AL, passed away on Tuesday, May 9, 2006, following a brief illness. A memorial service will be held on Thursday, May 11, 2006, at 2:00 p.m., from St. Joseph Catholic Church, with Father Philip McKenna officiating. Ms. Pinson was a graduate of Auburn University in Montgomery, AL. At the time of her death, she was a Business Analyst with Electronic Data Systems, Montgomery, AL. She is survived by her mother, Christine Suggs Pinson; a sister, Barbara Pinson (Thomas) Dozier; two brothers, Lloyd Charles Pinson and Steven Emory Pinson; three nieces, Ellen Dozier Mayer, Jeanne Dozier Clayton, and Jessica Emily Pinson. In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests that memorial contributions be sent to St. Joseph Catholic Church, 511 North Memorial Drive, Prattville, AL 36067; the Autauga County Humane Society, 1009 Rueben Road, Prattville, AL 36067; or to a charity of one’s choice. The family will receive friends at St. Joseph Catholic Church one hour prior to her service on Thursday.

Post, Carl Herman, a resident of Prattville, AL, died unexpectedly on Tuesday, October 17, 2006, at the age of 61. Funeral services will be held on Friday, October 20, 2006, at 2:00 pm., from the Chapel of Prattville Memorial, with Reverend John Varner officiating. Burial will follow in Stoney Point Church of Christ Cemetery, with Prattville Memorial Chapel directing. Mr. Post was preceded in death by his parents, Tommy and Ruby Post, and one sister, Joann Veronise. He is survived by three daughters, Pam Meeks, Millbrook, AL, Cynthia (Lenny) Brash, Prattville, AL, and Carla (Joey) Wurtz, Deatsville, AL; eight grandchildren; and one nephew, Dennis Veronise. O’NEAL, Jacalyn Gayle, 52, died unexpectedly at her home in Prattville, AL, on Saturday, October 1, 2005. Ms. O’Neal is survived by two sons, Brandon (Staci) Blake, Prattville, AL, and Greg Blake, Gadsden, AL; three grandchildren, Kaitlyn Blake, Hannah Blake, and Parker Blake; two nieces, Elizabeth Lyle and Catherine Lyle; two sisters, Cindy (Gil) Whisner, Birmingham, AL, and Darleen (Tim) Koster, Tuscaloosa, AL; and one brother, Danny (Arlene) O’Neal, Millbrook, AL. NEWMAN, Pauline “Polly,” 82, a resident of Prattville, AL, died peacefully on Thursday, September 20, 2007, at a local health care facility. A graveside service will be held on Sunday, September 23, 2007, at 2:00 p.m., from Prattville Memory Gardens, with Pastor Roger Parks officiating, Prattville Memorial Chapel directing. Mrs. Newman was preceded in death by one son, Alan Newman. She is survived by three daughters, Patricia (Jerry) Grantham, Gayle Knighten, and Betty Dedman; two sons, George (Evelyn) Cook, and Glenn (Kathy) Cook; 20 grandchildren; 29 great-grandchildren; six great-great grandchildren; three sisters, Jeanette Post, Betty Harris McVey and Dell Campbell, and one brother, Pete Glenn. Her pallbearers will be Pete Barber, Daniel Cook, Don Cook, Glenn Cook, Bo Grantham, Carter Knighten, John Newman, and Harvey Russell. In the event of inclement weather, services will be held in the Chapel of Prattville Memorial. The family will receive friends at Prattville Memorial Chapel on Saturday evening from 5:00 until 7:00 p.m.
Leonard Morrison
MORRISON, Leonard Eugene, 81, a resident of Prattville, AL, died on Monday, May 9, 2005, at a local hospital. Funeral services will be held on Thursday, May 12, 2005, at 3:00 p.m. from the Chapel of Prattville Memorial, with Dr. Travis Coleman and Dr. Leroy Stringfield officiating. Burial will follow in Prattville Memory Gardens, with Prattville Memorial Chapel directing. Mr. Morrison honorably served his country during World War II with the United States Army. He was an active member of The First Baptist Church in Prattville, and an avid golfer, gardener, and sportsman having played professional baseball for several years. He is survived by his beloved wife of 53 years, Marilyn Morrison; one daughter and son-in-law, Lyndy and Hal Davis, all of Prattville, AL; one son and daughter-in-law, Kenneth and Mitzi Morrison, Oxford, AL; three grandchildren, Stuart Morrison, Leigh Davis, and Hallie Davis; two brothers, L. T. (Gussie) Morrison, Shelby, NC, Sam (Ruth) Morrison, Cherryville, NC, and several nieces and nephews. Active pallbearers will be Members of Mr. Morrison’s Little League Baseball Team of the 1960’s. Honorary pallbearers will be Members of the Jimmy Sanford Sunday School Class; Members of The Rooster’s Club, and Dr. Kenny Nichols. Moseley, Denise Thomas, 44, a resident of Prattville, AL, died unexpectedly on Saturday, January 6, 2007 from injuries sustained in an automobile accident. She is survived by her beloved husband of 24 years, Kenneth Moseley; two daughters, Kelley Moseley and Michelle Moseley; one brother, Mike (Charlene) Outlaw; one sister, Cheryl (Tim) Jeffcoat; and numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins. MILLER, Dr. Jack Anderson, 78, a resident of Millbrook, AL, died peacefully on Friday, June 8, 2007, after an extended illness. A committal service will follow in the Ocmulgee Baptist Church Cemetery, north of Selma, AL, with Reverend Donald Harris officiating, Prattville Memorial Chapel directing. Mr. Miller was a devoted husband, father and grandfather. He proudly served his country as a member of the United States Marines followed by a distinguished career in secondary education. He was preceded in death by his parents, Sherrill and Lucille Miller, and one sister, Joyce Cochran. He is survived by his best friend and beloved wife, Joan Miller, Millbrook, AL; one daughter, Jan Kelley, Grove Hill, AL; three grandchildren, Peyton Powell, Lindsay Luker, and Carmen Davis; five great-grandchildren; one brother-in-law, Jim Cochran; one nephew, Jimmy Cochran, both of Phenix City, AL; and one niece, Joy White, Kosciesko, MS. Serving as active pallbearers will be Layne Mims, Wayne Mims, Bob Vaughn, Joe Nettles, Bob Carnel, and Jack Joseph. PARSONS, Grover Luther, 79, a resident of Prattville, AL, died peacefully on Thursday, June 9, 2005, at a Montgomery health care facility. A graveside service will be held on Saturday, June 11, 2005, at 11:00 a.m., from Pleasant Hill Baptist Church Cemetery, with Reverend Monfee officiating, Prattville Memorial Chapel directing. Mr. Parsons honorably served his country as a Veteran of the United States Air Force. He is survived by one daughter and son-in-law, Sheila and Bill Noblitt, Montgomery, AL; two grandchildren, Scott Noblitt and Jeff Noblitt; and four sisters, Ruby (Clyde) Monfee, June Causey, Geneva Helms, of Prattville, AL, and Juanita Kennedy, Colton, CA.
