Robert Murphy

MURPHY, Robert William, 65, (MSgt, USAF, Ret’d), a resident of Millbrook, AL, died peacefully on Wednesday, February 21, 2007, at a Montgomery hospital. Funeral services will be held on Sunday, February 25, 2007, at 1:00 p.m., from the Chapel of Prattville Memorial, with Reverend Steve MacInnis officiating. Burial will follow, with full military honors, in Prattville Memory Gardens, with Prattville Memorial Chapel directing. Mr. Murphy proudly served his country with the United States Air Force for 20 years. Following his military career, he was an Auditor for the State of Alabama, Department of Medicade, retiring after 20 years of service. Mr. Murphy also gave generously of his time and talent to the Trinity United Methodist Church, the Autauga Interfaith Care Center, and to the students of Autauga County with their homework and studies. He is survived by his beloved wife, Linda Murphy; one daughter, Charlynn Murphy; two sons, Anthony (Denise) Murphy and Joseph (Tanya) Murphy; five grandchildren; two sisters, Sue (Jim) Hubbard and Jo (Warren) Baker; and five brothers, Jim (Rene) Murphy, Jack (Helen) Murphy, Dan (Daniela) Murphy, Rich (Roxanne) Murphy, and Ron Murphy. Active pallbearers will be Anthony Murphy, Joseph Murphy, Shane Clark, Ross Williamson, Kevin Murphy, Ken Murphy, Sean Murphy, and the United States Air Force Honor Guard. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be sent to Autauga Interfaith Care Center, 163 West Third Street, Prattville, AL 36067 or to the United Methodist Children’s Home, P. O. Box 830, Selma, AL 36702. The family will receive friends at Prattville Memorial Chapel on Saturday evening from 6:00 until 8:00 p.m.

Marcy McCallister

McCALLISTER, Marcy Jo, 35, a former resident of Dothan, AL, and recent resident of Elmore, AL, died unexpectedly at home on Monday, July 9, 2007. Funeral services will be held on Friday, July 13, 2007, at 10:00 a.m., from the Chapel of Prattville Memorial. Burial will follow in Prattville Memory Gardens, with Prattville Memorial Chapel directing. At the time of her death, Marcy was a devoted wife, mother and homemaker. Surviving to cherish her memories is her beloved spouse, Jace McCallister; three daughters, Kristen McCallister, Julie McCallister, and Kailey McCallister; two sons, Blake McCallister and Bodie McCallister; her mother, Joyce Hughes; her father, Robert Hughes; six sisters, and four brothers. The family will receive friends at Prattville Memorial Chapel on Thursday evening from 6:00 until 8:00 p.m.

Jimmy Post

Post, Jimmy Clifford, 57, a resident of Deatsville, AL, died on Saturday, December 11, 2004, at his residence. Funeral services will be held on Monday, December 13, 2004, at 1:00 p.m., from the Chapel of Prattville Memorial, with Reverend Rodney Culpepper officiating. Burial will follow in Prattville Memory Gardens with Prattville Memorial Chapel directing. Mr. Post is survived by his beloved wife of 16 years Joy Hollon Post of Stoney Point, AL; one son, Jacob Post of Stoney Point, AL; one daughter, Jade Post of Stoney Point, AL; one brother, Ricky (Becky) Post of Prattville, AL; and his parents, Jewel and Clifford Post of Stoney Point, AL. Active pallbearers will be John McCallister, Alan Nobles, Wayne Oates, Warren Meek, Buster Beasley, Harold Hogan. Honorary pallbearers will be Rick Brown, Walt Wainwright, David Silas, Buck Manasa, Keith Hollon, Otis Smitherman, Dickey Burton, Reed Hunt, Keith Meeks, Bart Lassiter, Barry Lassiter, Roy Davis, George Wainwright, and members of the Miller softball team which are the following: Mark Brown, Gene Klein, Ronnie Driver, Ken Seamon, Thomas Earl Hawkins, Bruce Gray, Steve Bohannon, Jeff Wadsworth, John Wainwright, and Todd Cole. In lieu of flowers, donations can be sent to the Building Fund of Boones Chapel Baptist Church on county road 66, Prattville, AL, 36067.

Jacob Little

LITTLE, Jacob L., 83, a resident of Prattville, AL, died peacefully on January 2, 2007, at Sunbridge Health Care Facility. A graveside service will be held on Saturday, January 6, 2007, at 10:00 a.m., in Prattville Memory Gardens, with Prattville Memorial Chapel directing. Mr. Little honorably served his country with the United States Army during World War II. He is survived by two sisters, Lyllis Brooks, Prattville, AL and Betty Jordan, TX; and numerous nieces and nephews. A visitation will be held at Prattville Memorial Chapel on Friday evening from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m.

Ronald Perkins

PERKINS, Ronald Gwenette, (MSgt, USAF, Ret’d), 67, a resident of Eclectic, AL, died peacefully on Friday, May 16, 2008, after a courageous battle with a lengthy illness. Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, May 20, 2008, at 10:00 a.m., from the Chapel of Prattville Memorial, with Reverend Tommy Merrell and Reverend Derwood Perkins officiating. Burial will follow at Prattville Memory Gardens, with the Maxwell Air Force Base Honor Guard rendering full military honors and serving as pallbearers. Mr. Perkins was a devoted husband, father, and grandfather who proudly served his country for 20 years with the United States Air Force. Following his military career, he was employed with the Department of Defense. He is survived by his beloved wife of 47 years, Naomi Perkins; three daughters, Ronda Perkins, Pamela (Greg) Hall, and Patricia Melton; one son, Ronald (Kena) Perkins; six grandchildren, Luke and Jake Hall, Alex and Tori Melton, Megan and Reid Perkins; one sister, Yvonne Rose; one brother, A. L. (Inez) Perkins, and a host of nieces and nephews. The family will receive friends at Prattville Memorial Chapel on Monday evening from 6:00 until 8:00 p.m. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be sent to the American Kidney Foundation, 2012 University Boulevard, Birmingham, AL 35233.

Vivian McNeill

McNeill, Vivian Turner, 98, formerly from Homewood, AL, died peacefully on Tuesday, December 13, 2005, at her residence in Prattville. Graveside services will be held on Saturday December 17, 2005, at 11:00 a.m., from Prattville Memory Gardens, with Reverend Ray Griffith and Reverend Tarleton Elliott officiating, with Prattville Memorial Chapel directing. Mrs. McNeill worked as secretary for El Paso Energy Company, which was formerly Sonat Inc.; she was also a teacher at Massey College. She is survived by her son, George R. McNeill, Jr. of Prattville, AL; one sister-in-law, Lucy Turner of Columbiana, AL; one grandchild, Olga (Chris) Randolph of Columbia, MO; and numerous nieces, nephews, and friends. The family will receive friends at Prattville Memorial Chapel on Friday evening from 7:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m.

Wesley Pogue

POGUE, Wesley Wellington, 77, a resident of Prattville, AL, died peacefully on Thursday, December 8, 2005, at a Montgomery hospital. Funeral services will be held on Monday December 12, 2005, at 2:00 p.m., from the Wesleyan Church, with Pastor Larry Burke officiating. Burial will follow in Prattville Memory Gardens, with Prattville Memorial Chapel directing. Mr. Pogue honorably served his country in the United States Air Force, he was a Mason in Masonic lodge #89, and member of the Eastern Star. Mr. Pogue is preceded in death by his parents, James E. and Evie Pogue; three sisters, Betty Jean Hood, Peggy Speed, and Shirley Pogue; three brothers, Buddy Pogue, Carl Pogue, and Frankie Pogue. He is survived by his beloved wife of 54 years, Norma Stubbs Pogue; two sons, Jimmy (Diane) Pogue of Old Hickory, TN and Jerry (Louise) Pogue, Tampa, FL; one grandchild, Pamela Daughety; one great-grandchild, Dylan Daughety; three sisters, Maudine (Tony) Bulger, JoAnn (Denny) Turner, and Janis Colee (Sam) Lowther. Pallbearers will be Allen Moates, Greg Moates, Billy Speed, Chris Colee, Billy Hix, and Jack Ling. Honorary pallbearers will be Fitness South Silver Senior Sneakers and BYF seniors church group. Flowers will be appreciated or memorial contributions may be sent to the Wesleyan Church of Prattville in memory of Mr. Pogue. He will lie in-state thirty minutes prior to his service. The family will receive friends at Prattville Memorial Chapel on Sunday evening from 6:00 until 8:00 p.m.

Cindee May

MAY, Cynthia Kay "Cindee", 45, a resident of Prattville, AL, who was affectionately known and loved as “Cindee,” died peacefully on Friday, June 15, 2007, after an extended illness. Funeral services will be held on Monday, June 18, 2007, at 2:00 p.m., from the Prattville Community Church, with Pastor Bobby Hicks and Reverend Nick Edwards officiating. Burial will follow in Prattville Memory Gardens, with Prattville Memorial directing. Cindee was a devoted wife, mother, sister and daughter. For many years, she worked outside her home as a dedicated hygienist. She was preceded in death by her grandparents, Mavis and Delma Hedgecock. She leaves to cherish her memories, her beloved spouse, Steve May; two children, Brandon Goebel and Ashton May; her parents, Clifton “Mac” and Carol McCauley; two brothers, Dan (Joy) McCauley and Frank McCauley; one sister, Rhonda McCauley; grandparents, Clifton and Dorothy McCauley; one nephew, Justin McCauley; one niece, Christina “Gabby” Sapp; mother-in-law, Gloris May; father-in-law, Paul May; brothers-in-law, Keith May and Chris (Pam) May; and a host of other nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, cousins, friends, and many brothers and sisters in Christ. Pallbearers will be Paul May, Chris May, Keith May, Terry Thornton, Jimmy Thomas, and Brian Hooks. The family will receive friends at the Prattville Community Church one hour prior to her service on Monday from 1:00 until 2:00 p.m.

Harold Lindsey

LINDSEY, Harold Eugene Lindsey 76, a resident of Prattville, AL, died peacefully on Thursday June 1 2006. Funeral services will be held on Tuesday June 6, 2006 at 11:00 a.m. from the Chapel of Prattville Memorial with Pastor Henry Lewis Smith officiating. Burial will follow in Prattville Memory Gardens with Prattville Memorial Chapel directing. Mr Lindsey was preceded in death by his wife of 35 years, Alma Jean Lindsey; one son, Steven Lindsey; two sisters, and one brother. He is survived by one son, Paul Lindsey; several nieces and nephews; a devoted companion, Virginia Gillespie, and special friends and caregivers, James Gillespie, Ray Gillespie and Bill Gillespie. The family will receive friends at Prattville Memorial Chapel on Monday evening from 6:00 until 8:00 p.m..

Geraldine Potts

POTTS, Geraldine Bailey, 85, a resident of Prattville, AL, died peacefully on Friday, December 2, 2005, at a local health care facility. Funeral services will be held on Sunday, December 4, 2005, at 2:30 p.m., from The Wesleyan Church of Prattville, with Pastor Larry Burke officiating. Burial will follow in Prattville Memory Gardens, with Prattville Memorial Chapel directing. Mrs. Potts was preceded in death by one sister, Dorothy Krout, and two brothers, David Edsel Bailey and Joseph Willard Bailey. She is survived by her beloved husband, Clarence Potts, Prattville, AL; one daughter, Jane Potts, Pike Road, AL; one son and daughter-in-law, David and June Potts, Prattville, AL; one sister-in-law, Ozelle Bailey, Centerville, AL; a special niece, Judy Bailey Holifield, Brent, AL; and several other nieces and nephews. Flowers will be appreciated or memorial contributions to the Wesleyan Church of Prattville in memory of Mrs. Potts, 1274 East Main Street, Prattville, AL 36066. The family will receive friends at Prattville Memorial Chapel on Saturday evening from 6:00 until 8:00 p.m. The body of Mrs. Potts will lie-in-state at the church Sunday afternoon one-half hour prior to her service.
