PARKER, Molly Odell, 88, a resident of Prattville, AL, died peacefully on Sunday, July 29, 2007, at a local health care facility. Funeral services will be on Tuesday July 31, 2007 from the Capitol City Church of the Nazarene at 11:00am with Pastor Curtis Koscheski officiating. Burial will follow at Greenwood Cemetery with Prattville Memorial chapel directing. Mrs. Parker was preceded in death by her husband, James L. Parker and daughter, Connie Parker. She is survived by 3 daughters, Betty P. Register, Nelta (Don) McLeod and Becky (Phillip) Henderson, 3 sons, James “Bo” (Peggy) Parker, Ronald (Linda) Parker and Harold (Rita) Parker. Thirteen Grandchildren and Seventeen Great Grandchildren. Sister, Estelle Parker, Brother, Huie Gilmore. Active Pallbearers will be Greg Parker, Chad Taunton, Jonathon Horton, Warren Parker, Jason McLeod and Kevin Adair. The family would to thank the staff of Prattville Health and Rehab for care given to our mother. The family will receive friends at Prattville Memorial Chapel on Monday evening from 6:00 until 8:00 p.m.
Robert Peterson
PETERSON, Robert Charles, 59, a resident of Prattville, AL, died peacefully on Friday, June 22, 2007, at a Montgomery hospital. A memorial service will be held on Sunday, June 24, 2007, at 4:00 p.m., from the Chapel of Prattville Memorial, with Reverend William Tucker officiating. Mr. Peterson is survived by one daughter, Laura (Bryan) Schouest; two sons, Jeff Peterson and his fiance’ Amy Hancock, and Cody Peterson; three grandchildren, Dylan Peterson, Carter Peterson, and Blayne Schouest; two sisters, Sarah (Edward) Batson, and Jean Bullock; and one brother, Glen (Ruby) Peterson. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Robert Peterson Memorial Fund at Wachovia Bank.
Thelma Eugene Paul
PAUL, Thelma Eugene, 93, a resident of Prattville, AL for 64 years, died peacefully at home on Sunday, September 23, 2007. A graveside service will be held on Tuesday, September 25, 2007, at 11:00 a.m., from Prattville Memory Gardens, with Pastor Henry Lewis Smith officiating, Prattville Memorial Chapel directing. Mrs. Paul was born in Elmore County to the late Mr. and Mrs. Thomas Eugene Harden on October 18, 1913. She was preceded in death by her husband, Fred Paul, three brothers, and two sisters. She is survived by three daughters, Sylvia P. (Bobby) Cannady, Nancy P. Bush, and L. Dian Paul; one son, Fred E. (Donna) Paul; seven grandchildren; and 12 great-grandchildren. Serving as pallbearers will be Mark Scott, Richard Luckie, Gene Paul, William Gillespie Jr., Bobbie Gillespie, and David Creamer. Emily Pollard
POLLARD, Emily Brooke, April 18, 1992 – June 30, 2006, a special angel from God, loved by so many, went home to be with her Lord at the age of 14. A celebration of her life will be held on Wednesday, July 5, 2006, at 11:00 a.m., from the Chapel of Prattville Memorial, with Pastor Rick Moore officiating. Entombment will follow in the Prattville Memorial Mausoleum, with Prattville Memorial Chapel directing. At the time of her death, Emily was a spirited young lady of the Fountain City Baptist Church Youth Group and was looking forward to being a 9th grade student at Prattville High School. All who knew her were truly blessed, and she will be greatly missed. She is survived by her parents, Todd and Lynn Oates, and Richard Pollard; grandparents, John and Pat Massengale, Jerry and Betty Pollard, Rita DeRamus and Barbara June Oates; a great sister and brother-in-law, Katie and Chad Harris; a very precious niece, Kamryn Bice; aunts and uncles, Stan and Stacey Massengale, Kevin and Kerry Edgeworth, Malcom and Donna Oates, Frances Oates, and Frank Oates; very special cousins, Mallory Edgeworth, Jarrod Chase and Julia Massengale, Dani, Chad, and Jessica Oates, Emily Woodham, Tina and Jason Edwards, Trish, Chris and Jackson Gahagan; very special friends, Fountain City Baptist Church Youth Group, Evelyn “Bobbie” Parker, Rebecca and Sarah Miller, Emily Carlisle, and Youth Pastors, Randy and Misty Carlisle; and a host of other friends and family members. Mr. Post was a devoted husband, father, and grandfather who proudly served his country as a Veteran of the United States Army and who compassionately served his community as a dedicated funeral director. He was preceded in death by one son, Jimmy Post. He is survived by his beloved spouse and best friend, Jewel Gilmore Post, Deatsville, AL; one son and daughter-in-law, Ricky and Becky Post, Prattville, AL; one daughter-in-law, Joy Post, Deatsville, AL; three grandchildren, Michelle Hayes, Prattville, AL, Jade Post and Jacob Post, both of Deatsville, AL; two great-granddaughters, Mallory McCallister and Bailey McCallister, both of Prattville, AL; and three sisters, Helen Thorne, Montgomery, AL, Jacqueline Brown, Deatsville, AL, and Polly Lassister, Montgomery, AL. Vester Powell
POWELL, Monroe Vester, 84, a resident of Prattville, AL, died on Sunday, November 13, 2005, at a local health care facility. Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, November 16, 2005, at 10:00 a.m., from White Pond Baptist Church, with Reverend Lamar Lyon and Reverend Doug Powell officiating. Burial will follow, with military honors, in White Pond Baptist Church Cemetery, Prattville Memorial Chapel directing. Mr. Powell honorably served his country during World War II as a Veteran of the United States Army and was the recipient of several commendations and awards including the Purple Heart and Medal of Honor. He was also a long-time member and deacon of White Pond Baptist Church. He was preceded in death by his beloved wife of 54 years, Gertrude Raines Powell; one sister, and two brothers. He is survived by one daughter and son-in-law, Beverly and Kelly Bond, Cumming, GA; one grandson, Alex Bond; three brothers, James Powell, Prattville, AL, Gerald (Ethel Mae) Powell, Birmingham, AL, and twin brother, Lester (Frances) Powell, Vida, AL; two sisters-in-law, Grace (Gene) Williams and Opal Manning; two brothers-in-law, Aubrey (Jimmie) Raines and Toby Litaker, all of White City, AL; and several nieces and nephews. Active pallbearers will be his nephews, Chip Powell, Bill McGaha, Jerry Powell, Donny Powell, Joe Powell and Wayne Powell. Honorary pallbearers will be the Mens’ Sunday School Class of White Pond Baptist Church. Burial will follow in Prattville Memory Gardens, with Prattville Memorial Chapel directing. Mr. Prince honorably served his country during World War II as a Veteran of the United States Army. He was preceded in death by one sister and two brothers. He is survived by his beloved wife, Callie L. Prince, Deatsville, AL; four daughters and sons-in-law, Barbara and Bob Lohman, Deatsville, AL, Judy and Wilson Spottedbird, Deatsville, AL, Linda and Rich Keller, Glendale, CA, and Patricia and Mike McRae, Pasadena, CA; three sons and daughters-in-law, Richard and Mirian Prince, Ft. Pierce, FL, Robert (Fay) Prince, Gresham, OR, and David (Estelle) Prince, Anaheim, CA; 14 grandchildren, and numerous great-grandchildren. PUTZEL, Robin Bailey, 41, a resident of Prattville, AL, died peacefully at home on Monday, February 27, after an extended illness. Funeral services will be held on Thursday, March 2, 2006, at 10:00 a.m., from St. Mark’s Episcopal Church, with Pastor Scott Arnold officiating. Burial will follow in Prattville Memory Gardens, with Prattville Memorial Chapel directing. Up until her illness, Robin was a legal secretary by profession. She was preceded in death by her father, Patrick Bailey. She is survived by her beloved spouse, Charles Lewis Putzel, IV; one son, Charles Lewis Putzel, V; her mother, Mary Bailey; one brother and sister-in-law, Tim and Jenny Bailey; and one nephew, Richard Bailey. The family will receive friends at Prattville Memorial Chapel on Wednesday evening from 6:00 until 8:00 p.m.
