EVERGREEN - Mary Alice Salter, a resident of Evergreen, died Thursday at a hospital in Evergreen.
She was 58.
Survivors include her husband, William Salter; her mother, Alice Salter; a daughter, Deborah Ealum; and a son, Ricky Salter, all of Evergreen; four sisters, Sue Hawsey and Ethel Wiggins, both of Evergreen, Dorothy Salter of Biloxi, Miss., and Margie Urquhart of Monroeville, Ala.; and two grandchildren.
Services are set for 2 p.m. today at Cope Funeral Home in Evergreen, with burial in Lone Star Cemetery.

Roy Lee Deason Sr.
Roy Lee Deason Sr., who retired from L&N; Railroad after 36 years, died Monday at his home.
He was 86.
Deason was a native of Evergreen, Ala., and a longtime resident of Eight Mile.
Survivors include his wife, Mary Alice Deason of Eight Mile; a daughter, Pat Byrd of Citronelle; two sons, Roy Deason Jr. of Carnesville, Ga., and Steve Deason of New Orleans; two brothers, Marvin Deason of Evergreen and John Edward Deason of Cheltenham, Md.; a sister, Grace Bailey of Evergreen; and three grandchildren.
Visitation will be from 6 to 9 tonight at Valhalla Memorial Funeral Home in Semmes, where services are set for 2 p.m. Wednesday.
Burial will be in Valhalla Memorial Gardens.

Willie M. Howard
FAIRHOPE - Willie Mae Howard, a native of Evergreen, Ala., and resident of Fairhope, died Thursday.
Survivors include six children, Bishop Willie C. Howard of Atmore, Ala., Odell Dortch of Fairhope, Earnest Howard of Woodbridge, Va., Emma Bates of Point Clear and Willie F. Dees and Shelly Howard, both of Brewton, Ala.; a sister, Drucilla Peters of Leakesville, Miss.; 23 grandchildren; 36 great-grandchildren; and 11 great-great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be at 9 a.m. today at Deliverance Outreach Church in Fairhope, followed by services at 11 a.m.
Burial will be in Twin Beech Cemetery in Fairhope.
Arrangements are by Hodge's Funeral Chapel.

Thomas D. Williams
EVERGREEN - Thomas Douglas "Doug" Williams, a gas company employee, died Tuesday at a hospital in Greenville, Ala., after a brief illness.
He was 48.
Williams was a native of Conecuh County who resided in Evergreen.
Survivors include his mother, Doris Louise Williams, and his wife, Libby F. Williams, both of Evergreen; a daughter, Monica Williams of Montevallo, Ala.; five brothers, Teddy Williams of Castleberry, Ala., James David Williams Jr. of Monroeville, Ala., Sammy Williams of Greenville, Frank Williams of Evergreen and Dwight Williams of Saraland; and four sisters, Diane Stinson of Evergreen, Becky Booker of Pine Orchard, Ala., Debbie Scrubbs of Camden, Ala., and Phyllis Williams of De Land, Fla.
Services are set for 2 p.m. Thursday at Cope Funeral Home in Evergreen, with burial in Lyeffion Baptist Cemetery.

Percy H. Tidwell
BERMUDA - Percy H. Tidwell, a Westville, Fla. native and Bermuda resident, died Saturday at a Monroe County hospital.
He was 101.
Tidwell was a member of the Bermuda Methodist Church for 80 years.
He is survived by his wife, Edna O. Tidwell of Bermuda; two sons, Lowell H. Tidwell of Bay Minette and Macon Bryan Tidwell of Selma; one daughter, Hilda H. Butts of Monroeville; three stepdaughters, Lindell McInnis of Repton, Shirley Conner of Mobile and Carol Sammons of Montgomery; one sister, Betty Roberts of Dothan; nine grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren; 10 step-grandchildren and eight step-great-grandchildren.
Services will be at 11 a.m. today at Bermuda Methodist Church.
Burial will be in Bermuda Methodist Church Cemetery.

Louise Sullivan
NEW CARLISLE, Ohio - Louise Hester Crawford Sullivan, an Alexandria, Va., native and New Carlisle, Ohio, resident, died Wednesday at a nursing home in New Carlisle.
She was 81.
She is survived by her husband, Bert Sullivan, and her daughter, Iris Sullivan Sleeper, both of New Carlisle.
Services will be at 11 a.m. today at Cope Funeral Home Chapel in Evergreen.
Burial will be in Buffington Cemetery.

John Tyree
QUITMAN, Miss. - John Tyree, a native of Evergreen, Ala., who resided in Quitman, died Sunday at a local hospital.
Tyree, 94, was a veteran of the U.S. Armed Forces.
Survivors include his son, Calvin Tyree of Boulder, Colo.; a daughter, Rita Jenkins of Meridian, Miss.; a sister, Lizzie Holmes of Brewton, Ala.; four grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.
Services are set for 11 a.m. today at Bumpers Funeral Home in Butler, Ala., with burial at Hopewell Cemetery in Lavaca, Ala.

EVERGREEN - Lillian Aleen Riley Black, a homemaker and Alabama native, died Friday at an area hospital.
She was 80.
Ms. Black, a resident of Evergreen, was a member of Evergreen Church of Christ.
She is survived by five sons, John Preston Black of El Cajon, Calif., Robert Earl Black of Lillian, Roger Black of Honoraville, Ala., and Walter Eugene Black and Jerry Dennis Black, both of Evergreen, Ala.; a daughter, Joyce Black Wilson of Livingston, Ala.; a brother, Thomas Riley of Evergreen, Ala.; two sisters, Bessie Barlow of Bessemer, Ala., and Goldie Matthews of Foley; 15 grandchildren; and 12 great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be from 6 to 8 tonight at Cope Funeral Home in Evergreen, where services are set for 2:30 p.m. Sunday.
Burial will be in Magnolia Cemetery.
