James T. Ballard
James Terry Ballard, a Covington County native and Monroeville resident, died Saturday at a Pensacola hospital. The retired Vanity Fair Mills employee was 74.
He is survived by one daughter, Terri Ballard of Pensacola; one brother, George A. Ballard of Red Level; three sisters, Ollie Skipper of Andalusia, Lois Chance and Loyette Walker both of Red Level.
Visitation will be from 10 to 11 a.m. Monday at Johnson Funeral Home in Monroeville with services to follow. Burial will be in Memorial Gardens Cemetery in Monroeville.

Patricia Sims
FRISCO CITY - Patricia Lynn Sims, a Bay Minette native and a Frisco City resident, died Friday in a local hospital. She was 42.
Mrs. Sims was a member of Frisco City First Baptist Church, where she was the preschool director and a member of the choir. She was also a member of the Frisco City Mid-Century Club.
She is survived by her husband, Robert Sims of Frisco City; one son, Rodney S. Sims of Frisco City; one daughter, Leslie S. Anderson of Chatom; her mother, Betty Watkins of Bay Minette; one brother, Michael Watkins of Pearland, Texas; three sisters, Ann Hearin of Chickasaw, Joyce Byrd of Dozier, Ala., and Barbara Hinote of Bay Minette.
Services will be at 3 p.m. today at Frisco City First Baptist Church. Burial will be in Union Cemetery in Frisco City. Johnson Funeral Home in Monroeville is in charge of arrangements.

Joe S. Woolfolk
Joe Samuel Woolfolk, a Senatobia, Miss., native and a Monroe Hill resident, died Friday in a Monroe County hospital. He was 76.
He was retired from the Army Corps of Engineers and was a member of Eastwood Baptist Church.
He is survived by two sons, Joe S. Woolfolk Jr. of Jackson and Greg Woolfolk of El Paso, Texas; three brothers, Dover Woolfolk and Everette Woolfolk, both of Senatobia, and Jack Woolfolk of Little Rock, Ark.; three sisters, Edith Dickerson, Mary Legge and Shirley Gains, all of Senatobia; and three grandchildren.
Visitation will be from noon until 2 p.m. today at Johnson Funeral Home Chapel in Monroeville. Services will be held at 2 p.m. today at the funeral home. Burial will be in Monroe Memorial Garden Cemetery. Arrangements are by Johnson Funeral Home in Monroeville.

Gordon H. Fuqua
MONROEVILLE - Gordon "Gus" H. Fuqua, an ãEscambia County, Ala., native and Monroeville resident, died Thursday at a Greensboro, N.C., hospital. He was 78.
Fuqua worked as a switchman for L&N; Railroad and was also a barber. He was a member of Mexia Baptist Church and a U.S. Navy veteran of World War II.
He is survived by his wife, Mildred Fuqua of Monroeville; one daughter, Judy Lavore of Julian, N.C.; three brothers, Damon L. Fuqua of Gulf Shores, Marion Fuqua of Mobile and Edgar Fuqua of Blountstown, Fla.; one sister, Velma Dunn of Brewton; two grandchildren; and one great-grandchild.
Visitation will be from 6 to 8 tonight at Monroe Chapel Funeral Home in Monroeville. Services will be at 10 a.m. Monday at the funeral home, with burial in Mexia Cemetery.

The Rev. Sam W. Turberville
MONROEVILLE - The Rev. Sam William Turberville, retired pastor of Goodway Baptist Church and Rocky Hill Baptist Church, died Friday at his home in Monroeville. He was 70.
Turberville was a member of Rocky Hill Baptist Church in Uriah. He was a U.S. Navy veteran and a former route supervisor for Hainjes Furniture Store of Monroeville.
He is survived by his wife, Edna Turberville of Monroeville; two sons, David DeWayne Turberville of Excel and Daniel "Danny" Turberville of Monroeville; one daughter, Mary Diane Cumbie of Little River, Ala.; two brothers, Buster Turberville of Monroeville and Moody Turberville of North Carolina; five sisters, Iris Jean Stacey, Ethel Sessions, Dorothy Fore and Frances Adams, all of Monroeville, and Aline Anderson of Mobile; seven grandchildren; and one great-grandchild.
Visitation will be from 6 to 9 tonight at Monroe Chapel Funeral Home in Monroeville. Services will be at 2 p.m. Monday at the funeral home, with burial in New Repton Cemetery in Repton.

Prince Albert Dunn
Prince Albert Dunn, a Monroeville native and a Mobile resident, died Saturday at a local hospital. He was 86.
He is survived by his wife, Amelia Augusta Dunn of Mobile; a son, Lt. Col. Robert Albert Dunn of Atlanta; a daughter, Marion Amelia Dunn of Citronelle; a brother, James T. Dunn of Mobile; two sisters, Ivey B. Dunn of Birmingham and Ossie Nell Ryals of Macon, Ga.; and five grandchildren.
Services are set for 3 p.m. today at Mobile Memorial Gardens Funeral Home, with burial at Mobile Memorial Gardens.

SCOTTSDALE, Ariz. - Sarah H. Nettles Austin, a Monroe County, Ala., native, died April 21 at a Scottsdale, Ariz., nursing facility. She was 80.
Mrs. Austin was a former resident of Fayetteville, N.C., where, after retiring from the federal government, she worked as a real estate professional for more than 25 years. She was the first woman president of the Fayetteville Area Board of Realtors.
She is survived by two daughters, Sara Louise Mason Shirah of Sierra Vista, Ariz., and Carolyn Sue Mason Reed of DeSoto, Texas; two sons, Lawrence William Mason of Wilmington, N.C., and John Nettles Smith of Cave Creek, Ariz.; two sisters, Lillian Nettles Kaisi of Mexia, Ala., and Rillie Nettles Colvin of Camden; one brother, James Edward Nettles of Mexia; 10 grandchildren; and 10 great-grandchildren.
