Sallie G. Flowers
FRISCO CITY - Sallie Griggers Flowers, a native of Goodway, Ala., and resident of Frisco City, died Monday. She was 93.
Mrs. Flowers was a member of Megargel Assembly of God Church.
She is survived by nine daughters, Frauline Harrison of Bay Minette, Dorothy Brooks of Frisco City, Voncile Frizell of Hope Hull, Ala., Wanda Stuckey of Megargel, Ala., Betty Jean Mullins, Billie Riley and June Norrell, all of Goodway, Sara Jaye of Atlanta, and Peggy Sellars of Gulf Shores; and three sisters, Nellie Ree Hendrix of Goodway, and Corean Boone and Zetta Starczewski, both of Mobile.
Services will be at 2 p.m. today at Megargel Assembly of God Church in Megargel, with interment in Sowell Old Field Cemetery in Goodway. Arrangements are with Johnson Funeral Home.

Wilbert L. Hurry
MONROEVILLE - Wilbert Lee Hurry, who had worked as a beaming operator for Monsanto, died June 3 at his home. He was 72.
The Monroe County native was a resident of Monroeville. He was a member of Antioch No. 3 Church and Masonic Lodge No. 904 of Monroeville.
Survivors include his mother, Sinnie Hurry of Pensacola; one son, Tom Kidd of Monroeville; one brother, Clifton Hurry of Monroeville; two sisters, Arjewl Hill and Sarbia Hunter, both of Pensacola; many grandchildren; and several great-grandchildren.
Services are set for 2 p.m. Saturday at Antioch No. 3 Church, with viewing one hour prior to services. Burial will be in the family cemetery. Arrangements are with Jones Funeral Home of Monroeville.

Blanche L. Hundley
MONROEVILLE - Blanche Lazenby Hundley, a member of First United Methodist Church, died Sunday at the age of 91.
Mrs. Hundley was a native of Forest Home, Ala., and a longtime resident of Monroeville. She attended college at Montevallo and taught Expression at Ariton, Ala.
She devoted her time to church activities. In addition to singing soprano in the choir, she played piano and organ, taught a women's Sunday school class and was involved in United Methodist Women. She also put flowers in the narthex as long as her health permitted.
Survivors include one son, Kenneth Hundley; six grandchildren; and 12 great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be at Monroeville First Baptist Church on Wednesday from 10 a.m. until the 11 a.m. services. Burial will be in Methodist Cemetery with Johnson Funeral Home of Monroeville directing.

Jewel L. Lambert
FRISCO CITY - Jewel Lancaster Lambert, a homemaker, died Sunday at an area hospital. She was 74.
Mrs. Lambert, a native of Goodway, Ala., was a resident of Frisco City.
Survivors include two sons, Larry R. Lambert of Frisco City and Walter D. "Danny" Lambert of Houston; one daughter, Elaine Lambert Padgett of Tallahassee, Fla.; two sisters, Corean Coleman and Myrtice Maughow, both of Goodway; and four grandchildren.
Services are set for 10 a.m. today at Monroe Chapel Funeral Home with burial in Union Cemetery in Frisco City.

Dottie Ledkins
FRISCO CITY - Dottie Zell Huggins Ledkins, a homemaker and member of Oak Grove Assembly of God Church in Goodway, Ala., died Tuesday at a Mobile hospital. She was 90.
Mrs. Ledkins was a lifelong resident of Monroe County.
Survivors include four sons, Ralph Ledkins of Monroeville, Zerl Ledkins of Franklin, Ala., Joseph Lavaugn Ledkins of Atmore, Ala., and Darrell Ledkins of Excel, Ala.; three daughters, Myrtis Ledkins Butler of Forest Home, Ala., Morrell Odom and Marie Harris, both of Frisco City, Ala.; 21 grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren.
Services are set for 10 a.m. today at Johnson Funeral Home in Monroeville, with burial in Oak Grove Assembly Cemetery in Goodway.

Berda Mae Knight
WAINWRIGHT, Ala. - Berda Mae Knight, a member of Good Hope Baptist Church in Finchburg, Ala., died Monday at a Mobile hospital. She was 78.
Mrs. Knight was a lifelong resident of the Wainwright community near Franklin.
Survivors include four sons, Lloyd Knight, Larry Knight and Herbert Knight, all of Wainwright, and Trenton Knight Jr. of New York City; three sisters, Andretta Suggs of Monroeville, Mary Brown and Betty Abney, both of Wainwright; one sister, Emma McCall of Mobile; 24 grandchildren; and 13 great-grandchildren.
Services are set for 2 p.m. today at Good Hope Baptist Church with burial in the church cemetery. Jones Unity Funeral Home of Monroeville is in charge of arrangements.

Billy Barnes
MONROEVILLE - Billy Barnes, who owned Billy Barnes Enterprises of Monroeville, died Saturday.
A native of Washington County, Fla., Barnes resided for most of his life in Monroeville.
He is survived by his wife, Fay P. Barnes of Monroeville; six children, Donnie Barnes, Terry Kilpatrick, JoAnn Rudowski and Pat Bowen, all of Monroeville, Cynthia Louise Elmore of Gulf Shores and Barbara Ogden of Mobile; two stepchildren, Jana S. Horton of Monroeville and Adam Snyder of Montgomery; two brothers, Robert Barnes of Panama City, Fla., and Johnny Barnes of Alford, Fla.; two sisters, Evelyn Champion of Graceville, Fla., and Susie Bauldee of Alford, Fla.; 19 grandchildren; and three great grandchildren.
Visitation and services will be Tuesday from 5 to 8 p.m. at Monroeville First Baptist Church, with burial at Pineville Cemetery in Monroeville.
Johnson Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
