A native of Milwaukee, Wisconsin, former resident of Bluff City, Arkansas, was presently residing in Semmes, AL., died on Wednesday, November 17, 1999. He was a senior at Mary G. Montgomery High School and a member of the High School Basketball Team. He is survived by his mother, Sharon (William) Blevins; his father, Alphonzo Charles Young, and Terry Lee Robbins, Sr. who raised him; three brothers, Terry Lee Robbins, Jr., Terrell Overton and Jarvis Braggs; one sister, LaDestiny Payton; grandparents, Mattie and Richard Walker, Lillie Blevins, William Duncan and Odie Young; a very special aunt, Sharon Rembert and a host of other relatives and friends. Visitation will be at the Morelight Tabernacle of Prayer Church, 417 Whistler St., Prichard, AL on Tuesday, November 23, 1999 from 5 P.M. until 8 P.M. Elder Daniel R. Moore, Pastor. Funeral services will be held on Saturday, November 27, 1999 from the Union Grove Baptist Church, Bluff City, Arkansas at 2 P.M. with Rev. Leon Parham officiating. Interment will be in the Union Grove Cemetery. In lieu of flowers please make donations to any Region's Bank in the name of DeWillis "Chello" Young. Funeral services were held from the Excel Assembly of God in Excel, Alabama, Wednesday, November 24, 1999, at 2:00 PM.
Officiating ministers were Rev. David Edwards, Rev. Roy Creamer, Rev. Cecil Turner, Rev. Lance Faylor, Rev. Jack Howell, Rev. Leonard Leverett, Rev. Kamaill Campbell, Rev. Morris Hyatt, Rev. Vaudie Lambert, Rev. Guy Mims and Rev. Glen Byron.
Honorary Pallbearers were Ministers of the General Council of the Assemblies of God.
Active pallbearers were McNiel, Roy Johnson, Johnny Hines, James Shelly Hines, Clayton Johnson, Melvin Johnson, Jerry Johnson and James Jordan.

Kathleen Pickels:
Age 70. A native of Monroe County, AL and resident of Seminole died Monday, November 29, 1999. She is survived by one son, Kenneth (Sheila) Pickels, Seminole, AL; four sisters, Zelma Knight and Carolyn Shifflett both of Seminole, AL, Betty Pardue, Loxley, AL and Martha Faircloth, St. Paul, MN; three brothers, Jerry Faircloth, Holly Hill, FL, Gene Faircloth, Milton, FL and Allen Faircloth, Mobile, AL; two grandchildren, Michele Lassitter, Summerdale, AL and Amanda Cantrell, Seminole, AL; two great grandchildren. Funeral services will be held Wednesday, December 1, 1999 at 10 a.m. from the Mack Funeral Home Chapel, Robertsdale, AL with interment in the Baldwin Memorial Cemetery, Robertsdale, AL. Visitation will be held Tuesday, November 30, 1999 from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. at Mack Funeral Home. Funeral arrangements are by MACK FUNERAL HOME, Inc., Hwy 59, Robertsdale, AL.

Clarreese D. Witcher
ATMORE - Clarreese Delores Witcher, a retired educator, died Nov. 26 at a hospital in Mobile. She was 66.
Ms. Witcher was a native of Uriah in Monroe County and lived most of her life in Atmore. She graduated from Escambia County Training Academy in Atmore and Alabama State University in Montgomery.
She was a member of Greater Mount Triumph Baptist Church in Atmore, where she was a member of the gospel chorus.
Other memberships included the Alabama Education Association and the National Education Association.
Survivors include three daughters, Marreese Jones, An gela Johnson and Brettschneider Staples; and an adopted son, Robert McCall, all of Atmore; two sisters, Dorothy Lee and Dannie Andrews, both of Uriah; two brothers, U.D. Parker and Dan Parker, both of Chicago; 10 grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.
Viewing will be from 1 to 8:30 tonight at Turner Funeral Home in Atmore, with visitation from 7 to 8 p.m. Services are set for 2:30 p.m. Saturday at Greater Mount Triumph Baptist Church in Atmore, with viewing one hour before. Burial will be in Fairview Cemetery.

Homer E. Daw
MEXIA - Homer E. Daw, a resident of Mexia, died Friday at Monroe County Hospital. He was 86.
Daw was a retired sewing machine mechanic with Vanity Fair and a member of the Monroeville Masonic Lodge No. 3. He was a veteran of World War II.
He is survived by one son, William Daw of Mexia; one daughter, Sandra Daw of Montgomery; two sisters, Jean Johnson of Tuscaloosa and Joyce Coxwell of Mobile; two grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; seven step-grandchildren; 14 step-great-grandchildren; and three step-great-great-grandchildren.
Services will be at 2 p.m. today at Johnson Funeral Home Chapel, with interment in Mexia Cemetery.

Selena B. Tolbert
GRAND BAY - Selena Broughton Tolbert, a native of Monroeville and resident of Grand Bay, died Thursday. She was 101.
Mrs. Tolbert was a founding member of Providence Baptist Church.
She is survived by two sons, Curtis Tolbert and Rufus Tolbert; seven daughters, Edna Abrams, Freda Borden, LeGrant Wright, Verna Cephas, Joyce Tolbert, Erma Jean Tolbert and Nadine T. Showers; 30 grandchildren; 59 great-grandchildren; and 17 great-great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. Tuesday at Christian Benevolent Funeral Home and from 7 p.m. to 9 p.m. at Providence Baptist Church. Services will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday at Providence Baptist Church, with interment in the church cemetery.

Mrs. Selena Broughton Tolbert:
A native of Monroeville, AL and a resident of Grand Bay, AL was born July 12, 1898 passed the torch to the next generation and entered the arms of Jesus, December 2, 1999. She was a founder and member of Providence Baptist Church. Her survivors include, two sons, Curtis Tolbert and Rufus Tolbert; seven daughters, Edna Abrams, Freda Borden, LeGrant Wright, Verna Cephas, Joyce Tolbert, Erma Jean Tolbert and Nadine T. Showers; 30 grandchildren, 59 great grandchildren, 17 great great grandchildren; daughter-in-law, Mattie Tolbert of Grand Bay; son-in-law, William E. Showers, III, a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
Her remains will lie in state at Christian Benevolent Funeral Home, Tuesday, December 7, 1999 from 11 a.m. until 4 p.m. and after 5 p.m. at Providence Baptist Church, Grand Bay, AL. Visitation will be 7 p.m. until 9 p.m. Funeral services will be held Wednesday, December 8, 1999 at 11 a.m. Rev. Walter E. Colston, Pastor and officiant. Interment will follow in the church cemetery.
