ATMORE - Doris M. Odom, a native of who resided in Atmore, died Saturday at a hospital in Jay, Fla. She was 86.
She is survived by her son, Robert J. Odom Sr. of Mobile; eight grandchildren; and numerous great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be tonight from 7 to 9 at Johnson-Quimby Funeral Home in Atmore. Services are set for 3 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home, with burial at New Bethlehem Church cemetery at Barnett Crossroads.

Theodore S. Owens
ATMORE - Theodore S. Owens, an Atmore farmer, died Saturday at a Pensacola hospital. He was 81.
Owens, a native of Crenshaw County, was a member of Presley Street Baptist Church and Gideons International.
He is survived by his wife, Verta T. Owens of Atmore; two sons, Douglas Owens of Columbus, Ohio, and Roger Owens of Atmore; five grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be tonight from 6 to 9 at Johnson-Quimy Funeral Home in Atmore. Services are set for 11 a.m. Tuesday at Presley Street Baptist Church, with burial at Oak Hill Cemetery in Atmore.

Sarah L. Hall
CANOE - Sarah Lynn Hall, a native of Petersburg, Va., and resident of Canoe, died Monday at her residence.
She was an art teacher at Ransom Middle School in Cantonment, Fla.
She is survived by her mother, Sarah Rutherford Hall of Canoe; a brother, Arthur James Hall; two sisters, Susan Hall of Milton, Fla., and Carolyn Ringhoffer of Mobile; and her grandmother, Maurine Rutherford of Franklin.
Graveside services and burial will be Thursday in the Hall Family Cemetery in Canoe. Memorials may be made to the American Diabetes Association, 200 Office Park Dr., Suite 303, Birmingham, 35223.
Johnson-Quimby Funeral Home in Atmore handled arrangements.

Elaine S. Watkins
ATMORE - Elaine Still Watkins, a native of Monroe County and resident of Atmore, died Monday. She was 84.
Mrs. Watkins was a member of McCullough Christian Church.
She is survived by one son, Merrill Still of Atmore; three daughters, Margene Mattingly of Flomaton, Rhonda Shaw of Bay Minette and Nelda McMullan of Decatur, Miss.; one brother, Rayford Daniel of Point Clear; two sisters, Ruby Lambert of Birmingham and Iola Ritter of Mobile; 10 grandchildren; and 18 great-grandchildren.
Services will be at 2 p.m. today at Judson Baptist Church, with interment in Judson Cemetery. Arrangements are by Johnson-Quimby Funeral Home.

Ella R. Hawkins
ATMORE - Ella Ruth Hawkins, an native and Atmore resident, died Friday. She was 78.
Mrs. Hawkins worked for the Ideal Beauty Shop.
She is survived by one son, John Thomas Hawkins of New Orleans; one daughter, Deborah Lynn Alexander of Atmore; two sisters, including Gladys Harrison of Bay Minette; six grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.
Services will be at 3 p.m. today at Johnson-Quimby Funeral Home in Atmore. Burial will be in New Bethlehem Cemetery in Barrnett Crossroads.

Vernon Turberville
HUXFORD - Vernon Oneal Turberville, a retired carpet installer, died Friday in Atmore.
Turberville, 63, resided in Huxford. He was a native of . He was a member of Springhill Primitive Baptist Church.
He is survived by his wife, Evelyn C. Turberville of Huxford; a son, Steve O. Turberville of Atmore; five brothers, William Turberville of Uvalda, Ga., John Turberville, Clinton Turberville and Cecil Turberville, all of Mobile, and Paul Turberville of Robertsdale; and five sisters, Louise Gibson of Elsanor, Margaret MacDonald of Pensacola, Bessie Couch, Alice Vaughn and Helen Williams, all of Robertsdale.
Services are at 2 p.m. today at Johnson-Quimby Funeral Home in Atmore, with burial at Huxford Baptist Cemetery.

Willie C. Watson
ATMORE - Willie C. "Buck" Watson, who had been self-employed for many years in the logging business, died Sunday at his home in Atmore. He was 64.
Watson, formerly of Monroeville, was a longtime farmer and had also worked at PAC in Peterman, Ala., and Vanity Fair for nine years.
Survivors include three sons, Jessie Watson of Monroeville, Cleveland Thomas of Castleberry, Ala., and Melvin Lee of Burnt Corn, Ala.; five brothers, John C. Watson of Moss Point, Miss., Thomas E. Watson of Atmore, Charles Watson of Decatur Ala., Fred Watson and James Watson, both of Monroeville; one sister, Ernestine Lee of Monroeville; and eight grandchildren.
Services are set for 2 p.m. Saturday at Pilgrim Rest AME Zion Church in Burnt Corn with burial in the church cemetery with Penn's Funeral Home of Monroeville directing.
