Jerry E. Maughon
ATMORE - Jerry E. Maughon, a self-employed welder, died of natural causes Sunday in Bessemer, Ala. He was 46.
Maughon, who resided in Atmore, was a U.S. Army veteran.
Survivors include two brothers, Robert E. Maughon Jr. of Atmore and Jimmy M. Maughon of Stockton, and a sister, Wendy L. Wright of Atmore.
Visitation will be at Johnson-Quimby Funeral Home in Atmore on Thursday from 9:30 a.m. until the 11 a.m. services begin.
Burial will be at Oak Hill Cemetery.

Willene J. McGhee
ATMORE - Willene J. McGhee, a native of , Fla., and resident of Atmore, died Saturday. She was 73.
Mrs. McGhee worked as a seamstress for Vanity Fair.
She is survived by three sons, Bobby Lee McGhee of Blountstown, Fla., John Howard McGhee of Atmore and Preston McGhee of Monroeville; three daughters, Mary Christine Parker of Trinity, Texas, Betty Ann McGhee of Poarch and Angela DeVilbiss of Foley; one brother, James Lee Partin of Atmore; two sisters, Thelma Corine Jackson of Pensacola, and Linnie Ruth Wolf of Jay, Fla.; 20 grandchildren; and 20 great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be from 6 to 8 p.m. tonight at Johnson-Quimby Funeral Home in Atmore.
Services will be at 10 a.m. Monday at the funeral home.
Burial will be in New Home Cemetery in Poarch.

Sallie Mae Stafford
ATMORE - Sallie Mae Stafford, a native of and resident of Atmore, died Friday. She was 92.
She is survived by four sons, Boyce Ikner of Louisville, Ky., William Howard Stafford and Billy Ray Stafford, both of Atmore, and Julian Robert Stafford of Frisco City; 15 grandchildren; and 20 great-grandchildren.
Services will be at 2 p.m. today at Johnson-Quimby Funeral Home in Atmore.
Burial will be in Semirah Springs Cemetery.

Clarreese D. Witcher
ATMORE - Clarreese Delores Witcher, a retired educator, died Nov. 26 at a hospital in Mobile. She was 66.
Ms. Witcher was a native of Uriah in Monroe County and lived most of her life in Atmore. She graduated from Training Academy in Atmore and Alabama State University in Montgomery.
She was a member of Greater Mount Triumph Baptist Church in Atmore, where she was a member of the gospel chorus.
Other memberships included the Alabama Education Association and the National Education Association.
Survivors include three daughters, Marreese Jones, Angela Johnson and Brettschneider Staples; and an adopted son, Robert McCall, all of Atmore; two sisters, Dorothy Lee and Dannie Andrews, both of Uriah; two brothers, U.D. Parker and Dan Parker, both of Chicago; 10 grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.
Viewing will be from 1 to 8:30 tonight at Turner Funeral Home in Atmore, with visitation from 7 to 8 p.m.
Services are set for 2:30 p.m. Saturday at Greater Mount Triumph Baptist Church in Atmore, with viewing one hour before. Burial will be in Fairview Cemetery.

Cornelia L. Ellison
ATMORE - Cornelia Lucile Ellison, who had worked in the stone container business, died Sunday in Atmore. She was 68.
Mrs. Ellison, who resided in Atmore, was a native of Monroe County.
Survivors include two daughters, Judy L. Parmer of Brewton, Ala., and Barbara Faye Lassiter of Atmore; two sisters, Jabie Lane of Mobile and Donnie Simmons of Pensacola; three grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be tonight from 6 to 8 at Johnson-Quimby Funeral Home in Atmore.
Services are set for 10 a.m. Wednesday at the funeral home, with burial at Oak Hill Cemetery.

Billy G. Lane
ATMORE - Billy Gene Lane, who had worked for Vanity Fair for 20 years, died Sunday in Pensacola. He was 63.
Lane had resided in Atmore most of his life and was a deacon at Poarch Baptist Church.
Survivors include his wife, Annette Lane; a son, Billy D. Lane; and a daughter, Naomi Lane, all of Atmore; five brothers, the Rev. Ray C. Lane of Northport, Ala., James Lane of Pensacola, Jack Lane of Milton, Fla., Charles Lane of Huxford, Ala., and Wayne Lane of Goodway, Ala.; three sisters, Joyce Davis of Fayetteville, N.C., Shirley Conway of Pensacola and Delois Summerlin of Atmore.
Visitation will be today from 5:30 to 9:30 p.m. at Atmore Memorial Chapel in Atmore.
Services are set for 1 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home, with burial at Enon Cemetery
