Jesse Homer Tiller, born January 8, 1888 in Cherokee County, AL, died January 29, 1970, marriage Alma Harp on December 25, 1907. Alma was born September 2, 1888, died August 24, 1968. Both were buried in the Fife Cemetery, Cherokee County.

Marzett Hawkins, Sr., died March 1982, in Alliance, Starke County, Ohio, born October 3, 1921, in Gilbertown, Choctaw County, Alabama.
Marzett Hawkins, Sr., age 60, of 11340 Webb Ave. N. E., died at Molly Stark Hospital at 9:30 A.M., Monday following a one-year illness. Mr. Hawkins, was born in Gilbertown, AL, October 3, 1921, to the late Annie Watson-Hawkins and Rail Hawkins, and had lived in Alliance, Ohio for 37 years. He was preceded in death by his parents, his grandmother, Elizabeth Graham-Watson, his great-grandmother, Clora Campbell, and great-grandfather, Edinborough Graham, and his great-great-grandparents, Celia and Pry Campbell, two uncles, Marshall Watson, Sr. and Ed Watson, Sr., an aunt, Flora Watson-Chapman, a great aunt, Josephine Campbell-Kirksey and a great uncle, Isaac Campbell. A U.S. Army Veteran of World War II, he was retired from Babrock and Wilcox Tubular Products, where he was employed as a loader in the finishing department. Surviving are his wife Alberta Kirksey-Hawkins; three daughters, Mrs. Charles (Kathy) Dailey of Alliance, Amy and Ariane Both of the home, a son, Marzett Hawkins, Jr., of the home, a sister, Nettie Mae Hawkins of Louisville, KY, a brother, Bryant Young of Akron, OH, and two grandchildren and an uncle, Chester Watson of Citronelle, AL. Services will be held at 1 p. m. Friday at Noble Street Church of God in Christ, with Elder David Howard of the Holy Temple Church of God in Christ officiating. Burial will be in Alliancee City Cemetery. Friends may call at the church, Thursday, 7-9 p. m. SIBLEY FUNERAL HOME has charge of arrangements. (S.S.D.I. stated death date only as March 1982)

Edward/Edenborough "Ed" Watson, Sr., died September 1957, in Alliance, Starke County, Ohio, born February 24, 1911, in Gilbertown, Choctaw County, Alabama.
Ed Watson, Sr. of 435 N. Liberty Ave., a clipper at the American Steel Foundries, for 15 years, died Tuesday, September ? 1957, at 10:45, p. m. at City Hospital. Mr. Watson, 46, was ill, for three months. A resident of Alliance, Ohio for 16 years, Mr. Watson came here from Gilbertown, Alabama, where he was born, February 24, 1911, he was preceded in death by his parents, Elizabeth Graham-Watson and Sidney Harmon, and his grandmother, Clora Campbell. He was a member of the Pinehill Baptist Church in Gilbertown. He is survived by his wife, Annie Bell Nicholson-Watson, four daughters, Annie Ruth Watson, Daisy Lee Watson and Arlynn Watson of the home, and Mrs. Annie Mae Watson-Blue of Alliance, Ohio; three sons, Ed Watson, Jr., David Watson and Aron Watson, a sister, Amie Watson-Hawkins, of Alliance, Ohio, two brothers; Marshall Watson, Sr. of Plateau, Alabama and Chester Watson of Citronelle, Alabama, and five grandchildren. Funeral services will be held at 1:00 p. m., Saturday at the Second Baptist Church. In charge is Rev. A. B. Adams, Pastor. Friends may call from 7 to 9 p. m. Friday, at the Sibley Funeral Home. Interment will be made in the City Cemetery.

He passed this life at the Doctors Hospital, February 13, 1978, at 12:30 A. M. He was united in Holy Matrimony to Mrs. Hattie Law (Howze). He was a member of the Mount Carmel Missionary Baptist Church. The late Mary Pugh was bron October 14, 1875 in the Ebenezer Community, Route 1, Jackson, Alabama. Her mother was the lated Lucy Malone-Law. She departed this life about 4:30 a.m., Monday, May 24, 1971 at the Grove Hill Memorial Hospital, Grove Hill, Alabama. The deceased lived her entire life in the community of her birth. She joined Ebenezer Baptist Church at an early age, where she was a faithful member until her health failed. She was marriage to the late Creagh Pugh. To this union, six children were born. Survivors include two daughters, Mrs. Zeola Carter, Rt. 1, Jackson, Al., Mrs. Pearlie Dubose, Jackson, Al., four sons, Zan, Dan and Sidney Pugh, all of Route 1, Jackson, Al; L. V. Pugh, Decatur, Michigan; five sisters, Ida Johnson, Route 1, Coffeeville, Al., Nettie, Nancy and Flossie, all of Prichard, Al, Precious Bee, Oakland, Ca., one brother, James Law, twenty-two grandchildren, eleven great-grandchildren, four sisters-in-law, four daughters-in-law, two sons-in-law, and a host of othe relatives and friends. On Tuesday, May 14, 1996, the Almighty God, in his infinite wisdom and love, called our beloved, Mr. James "Jimmie/I.J." to be with Him eternally. Mr. Issie James Law, as he called himself, was born February 1, 1922 in Coffeeville, Alabama, to the late Mr. Jimmie Law, Sr. and the late Alberta Pugh Bumpers-Law. He was the husband of Mrs. Orelia Law. He spent the last 20 some-odd years in Norfolk, Virginia. He was preceded in death by several sisters, Nancy Law-Lassiter, Nettie Law-Dickinson, Ida Law-Johnson, Cardelia Law-Bryant, Ada Law, Mary Law-Pugh; all of his brothers, Andrew Law, Levert Law, Elie Law, Dossie Law, Charlie Law, and Little Jim Murphy. He leaves to mourn their loss, four sisters, Flossie Law-Watson, of Prichard, Alabama, Grace Daws-Horn of Highland Park, Michigan, Beatrice Law-Jackson of Oakland, California and Eartha Murphy of Oakland, California. He also leave seven children; Eric J. Law of Virginia Beach, Virginia, Wallace Law of Mattopan, Massachusetts, Leillani Law-Campbell of Scituate, Massachusetts, Dessirree Kenku of Decatur, Georgia, Adreennee Law of Mattopan, Massachusetts, Jemmerrell Fischer of Philadelphia, Pennsylvania and Jane Knight of Erial, New Hampshire. Ethel Taylor-Brooks, died June 11, 1998, in Mobile County, Alabama, born Sept. 18, 1905, in Clarke County, Alabama.
Sister Ethel Taylor Brooks: Mrs. Ethel Taylor Brooks was born September 18, 1905 to the late Mr. Lawrence Taylor and Mrs. Laura Johnson Taylor, in Clarke County, Alabama. She departed this life at a local hospital on Thursday, June 11, 1998. She confessed Christ at an early age and became a member of th Good Hope Baptist Church, Glenden, Alabama. Later she moved to Plateau, Alabama and became a member of First Hopewell Baptist Church. She lived in Plateau for 75 years. She was united in Holy Matrimony to the late Mr. Joe Brooks on March 18, 1922. Many loving, beautiful memories will be cherished by her survivors based on her long and fruitful life. She is survived by two sisters, Alice (Elijah) Peters, Willie Mae (Albert) Watts, god child, Mrs. Ethel Todd; 30 nieces and nephews, one devoted, Rev. Lemuel (Ezonia) Taylor, Jr., 103 great nieces & nephews, one devoted, Rev. Jeffery (Betty) Taylor, Jr.; 99 great-great-nieces and nephews; and 8 great-great-great-nieces and nephews and a host of other relatives and friends. Services, Saturday, June 20, 1998, 11:00 A. She confessed Christ at an early age and joined Ebenezer Baptist Church. She departed this life on Friday morning, January 1, 1999. She was united in marriage to Mr. Early Brown, who preceded her in death; to this union seven children was born, two of which preceded her in death; Nelson and Leon Brown of Coffeeville, AL. She leaves to cherish her loving memories; five children; James (Luberta) Brown, Annie (Ezell) Coats, Frank (Clara) Brown, all of Coffeeville, AL; Ethel (Edward) Lemay, Roxbury, Mass; Cecil (Wanda) Brown, Silas, AL; nineteen grandchildren, thirty great-grandchildren, four great-great-grandchildren; one sister who preceded her in death (Zeola Johnson), of Coffeeville, AL; two brother-in-laws; John W.
