Catherine Elizabeth "Carrie" Singleton, died February 25, 1967, in Plateau, Mobile County, Alabama, born 1904 in Chickasaw, Mobile County, Alabama.
Miss Catherine Elizabeth "Carrie" Singleton, a native and lifetime resident of Plateau, Ala., departed this life Saturday, February 25, 1967, at a local hospital. Born in 1904 to the late, Mrs. Ada Thompson-Harper-Singleton and Mr. Frank Singleton, Sr., she was also preceded in death by a sister, Elmira Singleton. She is survived by two daughters, Miss Dorothy Stallworth of Chicago, Ill, and Miss Gloria Stallworth of Plateau, Ala.; four sons, Mr. Johnnie Stallworth, Mr. Raymond Stallworth and Mr. Eurrl Stallworth, all of Plateau, Ala., and Mr. Clifton Stallworth of Chicago, Ill.; three sisters, Mrs. Mattie Singleton (Enoch) Benjamin, of Prichard, Ala., Mrs. Vinice (Jasper) Agee and Mrs. Ethel (Marvin) Agee, both of Chicago, Ill., six brothers, Mr. Clarence (Carnelia) Singleton and Mr. Frank Singleton, Sr., both of Prichard, Ala., Mr. Melvin Singleton and Mr. Preston Singleton, both of Chicago, Ill., Mr. Edley Singleton of Boston, Mass., and Mr. Earl Singleton of Cleveland, Ohio; nine grandchildren, one great-grandchild, four sisters-in-law, a devoted friend (father of her children) Mr. Frank Stallworth, a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends. Her remains will lie in state, Friday evening, March 3, 1967, in Hodges Funeral Chapel, from 5:00 P.M. until time for funeral service, Saturday, March 4, 1967, at 11:00 A. M. in chapel with Rev. M. H. Strickland officiating. Interment in Plateau Cemetery, Hodges Funeral Chapel directing (successors to Smith & Gaston), Taylor H. Hodge, Sr., president, at new location, 701 Davis Ave.
James Douglas Orr
Funeral for James Douglas Orr, 68, of Hartselle will be Wednesday at 11 a.m. at Providence Baptist Church with the Rev. Michael Chatman officiating.
Burial will be in Campground Cemetery with Reynolds Funeral Home directing.
The body will be at the church one hour before the service.
Mr. Orr died Sunday, Oct. 17, 1999, at Sun Bridge Healthcare and Rehabilitation Center in Fayetteville, Tenn. He was born June 1, 1931, in Morgan County to Fred Douglas Orr and Ivory Colquit Orr. He was a member of Providence Baptist Church.
He is survived by three brothers, Travis Orr of Falkville, Cleo Orr of Decatur and Ardie B. Orr of Danville; and two sisters, Ophelia Patterson and Ruth Batts, both of Hartselle.
Pallbearers will be Charles Ratliff, William Sharpley, Shelvie Williams, William Higdon, Calvin Sharpley and Clyde Young.
Brenda Lampkin Orr

Funeral for Brenda Lampkin Orr, 56, of Hartselle will be Tuesday at noon at The Kingdom Hall of Jehovah's Witnesses in Hartselle with Tex Gray officiating.
Burial will be in Campground Cemetery with Reynolds Funeral Home directing.
The body will be at Kingdom Hall one hour before the service.
Mrs. Orr died Thursday, June 1, 2000, at Parkway Medical Center. She was born June 5, 1943, in Morgan County to Lewis Lampkin and Madgie Harraway Lampkin. She was a homemaker and attended the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah's Witnesses.
She is survived by her husband, Carl Orr; two sons, Hilton Chatman of Huntsville and Fred Chatman of Hartselle; two daughters, Hilma Chatman and Karen "Tina" Williams, both of Hartselle; one stepdaughter, Kimette Jackson of Hartselle; two brothers, Lewis Lampkin and Hilton Lampkin, both of Hartselle; two sisters, Carolyn Orr and Christine Allen, both of Hartselle; and six grandchildren.
Opal Elliott

Mrs. Elliott died Tuesday, Oct. 19, 1999, at Decatur General Hospital. She was born Aug. 10, 1917, in Morgan County to William and Evie Orr. She was a homemaker and a member of Providence Missionary Baptist Church, the Mother's Board and Missionary Society. She was the widow of Mark Elliott.
She is survived by seven nephews, Carl Orr and A.J. Orr, both of California, William A. Sharpley of Decatur, James E. Sharpley of Hartselle, Curtis Bibb of Ohio, and Calvin Dansby and Alvin Dansby, both of Birmingham; and one niece, Lou Jean Johnson of Birmingham.
Pallbearers will be Limas Orr, Ray Sharpley, William Fowler, W.M. Wilhite, Marion Boyd and O'Neal Orr.

HARTSELLE -- Funeral for VaNell T. Childers, 76, of Falkville will be Sunday at 3 p.m. at Peck Funeral Home with the Rev. Keith Whitley and the Rev. Wayne Vincent officiating.
Burial will be in Cook Cemetery. The family will receive friends Saturday from 6 to 9 p.m. at the funeral home.
Ms. Childers died Thursday, Sept. 2, 1999, at Cullman Regional Medical Center. She was born Oct. 17, 1922, in Morgan County, to Lem Rivers and Susan Opal Sterling Turney.
She was a homemaker and a member of the Bethel Baptist Church, was the widow of Brady Childers and was the mother of the late Steve Childers.
She is survived by three sons, Greg Childers and Keith Childers, both of Hartselle, and Anthony Childers of Falkville; one daughter, Suzanne Childers of Hartselle; one step-son, Lewis Childers of Sanford, Fla.; two step-daughters, Betty Eastham and Dorothy Childers, both of Sanford, Fla.; three brothers, Fletcher Turney of Athens, Bobby Turney of Hartselle and Ray Turney of Tennessee, five sisters, Dorothy Parsons of Oden Ridge, Mildred McNutt and Vivian Vest, both of Hartselle; Hazel Murphy and Dean Smith, both of Falkville; 17 grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.
Pallbearers will be Connie Walling, Johnny Keith Childers, Randy Childers, Ray Miller, Terry Miller and James Shaffer.
Divolia Orr

Mrs. Orr died Friday, Feb. 15, 2002, at Carraway Methodist Medical Center in Birmingham. She was born May 5, 1922, in Morgan County to Charlie Orr and Fannie Morris Orr. She was a homemaker and the mother of the late Annie Mae Orr.
Survivors include one daughter, Joyce Orr of Tuscaloosa; and one brother, Wallace Orr of Danville.
Nephews will be pallbearers.
Eunice Teen Orr
Funeral for Eunice Teen Orr, 58, of Hartselle will be Saturday at noon at Oakville Christian Faith Center with the Rev. Joe Batts officiating.
Burial will be Lindsey Cemetery with Sharpley Funeral Home directing. The body will be in the church one hour before the funeral.
Mrs. Orr died Wednesday, March 19, 2003, at Decatur General Hospital. She was born June 20, 1944, in Oakville to Clifton Griffin and Premina McDaniel Griffin. A 1962 graduate of Morgan County Training School, Mrs. Orr worked at Delphi Automotive Systems as a machine operator. She was a member of Oakville Missionary Baptist Church.
Survivors include two sons, Elon Orr and Derick Orr, both of Danville; two brothers, Warren Griffin of Hartselle and Gary Taylor of Oakville; two sisters, Bobbye Taylor of Massey and Doris Sharpley of Decatur; and 10 grandchildren.
Pallbearers will be Dwight Harry, Jerry Williams, Johnny Pointer, Truel Orr, Ruis Orr and Aruie Orr.
Phillip 'Big Eye' Orr
Funeral for Phillip "Big Eye" Orr, 40, of Hartselle will be Saturday at noon at Providence Baptist Church at Camp Ground with the Rev. Walter Hurley officiating.
Burial will be in Campground Cemetery with Reynolds Funeral Home directing. The body will be in the church for one hour before the service.
Mr. Orr died Monday, May 21, 2002, at Summerford Nursing Home. He was born Aug. 7, 1951, in Morgan County to Clarence Mack Orr and Lucille Orr. He was employed at Baker Industries in Hartselle and at Massey dairy farm.
Survivors include three brothers, Clarence Orr Jr. and Jack Orr, both of Hartselle, and John Fred Orr of Decatur; four sisters, Martha Ann Maddox of Chattanooga, Mary Sharpley of Hartselle, Mary Ann Orr of Danville, and Margaret Ann Madden of Town Creek.
Pallbearers will be Marvin Fitzgerald, David Sims Orr, Paul Bibb Jr., Ardie Lee Orr, Don Orr and Greg Nance.
