WALKER SPRINGS - Naomi Zelma Anderson, an Alma native and Walker Springs resident, died Wednesday at a Mobile hospital. She was 83.
Anderson was a homemaker and member of Perry's Chapel United Methodist Church.
She is survived by four brothers, Cliff R. Bazzel and Cecil Bazzel of Pass Christian, Miss., Arthur T. Bazzel and Charles Bazzel of Panama City, Fla.; one sister, Ruth Farmer of Los Angeles; and a number of nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be from 6 to 9 tonight at Lathan Funeral Home in Jackson. Services will be at 11 a.m. Friday at Perry's Chapel United Methodist Church. Burial will be in Perry's Chapel Cemetery.

Bettye Sue Lyles
THOMASVILLE - Bettye Sue Lyles, a native of Bashi and a resident of Thomasville, died Tuesday in a local hospital. She was 69.
She is survived by her husband, Tom B. Lyles of Thomasville; two sons, Tim Lyles and Mark Lyles of Bashi; four daughters, Libbi Miles of Bashi, Tommy Sue Smith of Millers Ferry, Terry Norris of Grove Hill and Becky Ivy of Madison, Miss.; seven grandchildren; and one great-grandchild.
Graveside services and burial will be at 3 p.m. today at Bashi United Methodist Church Cemetery.

Grace K. Price
JACKSON - Grace Kitrell Price, a native of Barlow Bend and resident of Jackson, died Thursday at a local medical center. She was 72.
Mrs. Price was a member of the Methodist church in Gainestown and had worked as a seamstress for Vanity Fair.
She is survived by one daughter, Lynda Barkley of Huntsville.
Visitation will be from 1 to 3 p.m. Sunday at Lathan Funeral Home in Jackson. Graveside services will follow at 3 p.m. Sunday in Trinity Memorial Gardens.

COFFEEVILLE - Jason Donald Courington, an employee of Boise Cascade Paper Mill in Jackson, Ala., died Monday in a traffic accident in Coffeeville. He was 24.
Courington was a native of Saraland and a resident Coffeeville. He worked as a sheeter operator at the mill.
Survivors include his wife, Jami Paul Courington; a daughter, Katelyn Courington; his parents, Donald and Josephine Courington; and a brother, Victor Courington, all of Coffeeville.
Visitation will be from 6 to 8 tonight at Lathan Funeral Home in Jackson. Graveside services are scheduled for 11:30 a.m. Thursday at Jones Chapel Cemetery in Coffeeville.

Jeffery G. Shepherd
COFFEEVILLE - Jeffery Glenn "Jeff" Shepherd, an instrument fitter for Brown & Root, died Monday at an area hospital from injuries sustained in a traffic accident. He was 23.
Shepherd, a native of Grove Hill, Ala., was a resident of Coffeeville and a member of Jones Chapel Church of Christ.
Survivors include his parents, Denise and Donald Glen Shepherd; a brother, Scott Shepherd; two sisters, Ashton Shepherd and Tara Shepherd; and his grandparents, Golden Shepherd and Frank Harper, all of Coffeeville.
Visitation will be from 6 to 8 tonight at Lathan Funeral Home in Jackson, Ala. Services are set for 2 p.m. Thursday at Jones Chapel Church of Christ, with burial in Jones Chapel Cemetery in Coffeeville.

GAINESTOWN - Tempye Ann Foxx, an employee of the Windwood Inn in Grove Hill, died Saturday at her home. She was 21. Ms. Foxx was a native and resident of Gainestown. Survivors include her parents, Jo Ann and William Foxx Jr. of Gainestown; a son, Jonathan Kendell Foxx of Gainestown; a daughter, Chelsie Renae Dozier Foxx of Gainestown; three brothers, William Foxx III, Bennie L. Foxx and Marvin J. Foxx, all of Gainestown; seven sisters, Rita Foxx Roberson and Aretha Foxx, both of Dawes, Stephanie Foxx and Jennifer Foxx Pulliam, both of Elkhart, Ind., Lou Ella Foxx of Auburn, and Rosa Foxx and Melissa Foxx, both of Gainestown; and her grandmother, Lottie Martin of Jackson. A memorial service is scheduled for 11 a.m. today at Andrews Funeral Home in Jackson. A private burial is planned.

GAINESTOWN - Adrian Delaney Pritchett Hunt, a construction worker, died Saturday in Gainestown. He was 24. Hunt, a native and resident of Gainestown, was a graduate of Jackson High School. He was a member of Antioch AME Church of Alma, Ala. Known as "Bom" by family and friends, Hunt was a veteran of the U.S. Navy. He received the National Defense Service Medal, Sea Service Deployment Ribbon and the Southwest Asia Service Medal. Survivors include his parents, John David and Ardell Hunt of Alma; grandparents, Earl and Minnie Hunt, Rosie Pritchett and Walter Pritchett, all of Alma; a sister, Iris Hunt of Alma; and two brothers, John O. Ethel M. Presnall
SUGGSVILLE, Ala. - Ethel M. Presnall, a homemaker and member of Mount Horeb AME Church in Allen, Ala., died Nov. 5 at her home. She was 95.
Mrs. Presnall, a native of Suggsville, was a member of the Order of the Eastern Star Good Success Chapter No. 403.
Survivors include three sons, Curtis O. Presnall and Melvin D. Presnall, both of Grove Hill, Ala., and James Presnall of Flint, Mich.; a stepson, Booker T. Presnall of Grove Hill; four daughters, Corain McCall of Springfield, Mass., Evelyn Hampton and Annie Edgar, both of Flint, and Eunice Matthews of Grove Hill; a stepdaughter, Margaret N. Martin of Norfolk, Va.; 33 grandchildren; and many great-grandchildren and great- great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be at noon Saturday, with services at 1 p.m., at Wayman Chapel AME Church. Burial will be in the church cemetery, with Andrews Funeral Home in Jackson, Ala., directing.

Edwin D. Knight
GROVE HILL - Edwin Dewitt "Dick" Knight, who had been a civil engineer with the state Department of Transportation, died Saturday at his Grove Hill home. He was 70.
Knight, a native of Guin, was a U.S. Army veteran of the Korean War and a member of Grove Hill Baptist Church.
He is survived by his wife, Sara Knight of Grove Hill; a son, Tim Knight of Hoover; five daughters, Wanda Westbrook of Pinson, Pam Nelson of Jacksonville, Fla., Cathy Baker of Grove Hill, Janet Woodham of Grove Hill and Rita Phillips of Grove Hill; his mother, Viola Knight of Tuscaloosa; two brothers, Brady Knight of Fort Deposit and Alan Knight of Northport; three sisters, Frankie Franklin of Dalton, Ga., Peggy Flippo of Guin and Faye Samples of Leeds; and five grandchildren.
Services are set for 11 a.m. today at Grove Hill Baptist Church, with burial at Magnolia Lawn Cemetery in Grove Hill.
Lathan Funeral Home in Grove Hill is in charge of arrangements.
