Ellis Harrell
ANTIOCH - Ellis Harrell, a retired operator with Alabama River Pulp, died Monday at a hospital in Mobile. He was 68.
Harrell, an Alabama native, resided in the Antioch community near Grove Hill. He was a former member of the Antioch Fire Department.
A U.S. Army veteran of the Korean War, he was a member and deacon of Antioch Baptist Church.
Survivors include his wife, Retha Harrell; a son, Keith Ellis Harrell; a daughter, Nancy Wolfe; and three brothers, Edward Harrell, Arnold Lee Harrell and R.L. Harrell, all of Antioch; a sister, Mildred McIntyre of Jackson, Ala.; and three grandchildren.
Visitation will be tonight from 6 to 8 at Antioch Baptist Church. Services are set for 11 a.m. Wednesday at the church, with burial at the church cemetery.

Emma Todd
GROVE HILL - Emma Lee Martin Todd, a homemaker, died Saturday at her home. She was 68.
Mrs. Todd was a native and resident of Grove Hill, where she was a member of Mount Zion Baptist Church No. 2.
Survivors include her husband, Hoover Todd of Grove Hill; a daughter, Daphine Abston of St. Stephens, Ala.; two sisters, Jessie Dickinson and Clara Bell Pugh, both of Grove Hill; a brother, Bernard Martin of Gulfport; four grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be at 11 a.m. Saturday, with services at 1 p.m., at Mount Zion Baptist Church No. 2 in Grove Hill. Burial will be in Mount Zion Cemetery, with Andrews Funeral Home in charge.

Sidney Jackson Sr.
CARLTON - Sidney Jackson Sr., a retired cook, died Tuesday at his home. He was 88.
A native of Rockville, Ala., Jackson was a member of Mount Nebo Baptist Church where he served as a deacon.
Survivors include his wife, Lee Mae Jackson; and a son, Andrew Jackson Sr., both of Carlton; five daughters, Lemelia Collins and Deloise Coleman, both of Mobile, Lillian Nettles of Jackson, Ala., Annie Thomas and Mattie James, both of Carlton; a sister, Arlene Foreman of Fairhope; a brother, Champion Jackson Sr. of Rockville; many grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
The funeral is scheduled for 2 p.m. Saturday at Mount Nebo Baptist Church, with viewing two hours before. Burial will be in the church cemetery, with Andrews Funeral Home directing.

Norris E. Webb
THOMASVILLE - Norris Emory Webb, an Alabama native and Thomasville resident, died Friday at a local hospital. He was 58.
Webb, an auto body repairman at Webb's Body Shop, was a member of Elam Baptist Church.
He is survived by his wife, Willodean Webb of Thomasville; a daughter, Judy Bishop of Thomasville; two brothers, Shelly Webb of Millers Ferry and Nilon Webb of Washington County; a sister, Elizabeth Barnes of Fulton; and two grandchildren.
Services will begin at 11 a.m. today at Elam Baptist Church. Burial will be in the church cemetery.

Dan Jackson
ALMA - Dan Jackson, a retired pulpwood worker, died Sunday at his home at the age of 90.
A native and resident of Alma, Jackson was a member of Old St. Matthew's No. 2 Baptist Church where he served as a deacon.
Survivors include his wife, Costella Jackson of Alma; eight sons, Madison White Jr. of Fort Worth, Texas, Bennie Jackson, Travis Jackson, Curley Jackson and Willie Lewis Jackson, all of Alma, Charles Edward Jackson and Robert Jackson, both of Dallas, and Ricky Darrington of Jackson, Ala.; seven daughters, Marie White of Detroit, Mennie Lee Williams of Alma, Ardenia Jackson of Tulsa, Okla., Adline Fox, Alice Marie Fox and Ceola Jackson, all of Dallas, and Dora Jackson of Cincinnati; a sister, Sally Mae Robinson of Alma; 81 grandchildren; and numerous great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be from 6 to 8 tonight at Andrews Funeral Home in Jackson. Service are set for 2 p.m. Saturday at Mount Sinai Baptist Church, with viewing one hour before. Burial will be in Blackmon Cemetery in Jackson.

Charlie Black
GAINESTOWN - Charlie "Roy" Black, a native of Yellow Bluff, Ala., and resident of Gainestown, died Nov. 27 at a hospital in Mobile. He was 64.
Black was a member of Mount Gillard Baptist Church of Yellow Bluff.
Survivors include his wife, Corean Jackson Black of Gainestown; a son, Charlie Black Jr. of Mobile; five daughters, Marie Moses of Sacramento, Betty Leskin of Old Bridge, N.J., Charolette Jones of Walker Springs, Ala., and Lisa Fox and Erica Daffin, both of Mobile; seven sisters, Gussie Mae Rambo of Akron, Ohio, Estella Goins, Alfreda James, Ruby Eldridge and Louise Sylvester, all of Mobile, Bonnie Whitelow of Indiana and Helen Black of St. Louis; three brothers, Owen Black of Mobile, and Johnnie Black and Robert Black, both of Jackson, Ala.; nine grandchildren; and one great-grandson.

JACKSON - Leiland B. Dawson, an Alabama native and Jackson resident, died Saturday at a local medical center. He was 85.
Dawson, a member of Antioch Baptist Church, is survived by his wife, Dellie M. Dawson of Jackson; two sons, Jim Dawson of Mobile and Johnny Ray Dawson of Jackson; a brother, Roy Dawson of Birmingham; a sister, Birdie Grimes of Loxley; seven grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.

THOMASVILLE - Janie Mae Etheridge, a native of Surginer and resident of Thomasville, died Saturday at a local nursing home. She was 93.
Ms. Etheridge was a member of Friendship Baptist Church.
She is survived by a son, Bill Etheridge of Thomasville; and a daughter, Shirley McGregor of Mobile.
Graveside services were held Saturday at the Wesley Chapel UMC Cemetery in Dixons Mills.
Arrangements were handled by O'Bryant Chapel Funeral Home.
