LYMAN G. HEDDEN
FAIRHOPE - Lyman G. Hedden, a native of Taylorville, Ill., and a resident of Fairhope, died Friday, Dec. 10, 1999. He was 96.
While growing up in Fairhope, Hedden attended the School of Organic Education. Later, after attending Antioch College in Yellow Springs, Ohio, he worked for Detroit Edison for 40 years and retired in Fairhope.
He was an elder at Fairhope Christian Church, Disciples of Christ, and was active in the Greeno Masonic Lodge and the Lions Club.
He is survived by his wife, Lilah Kelley Hedden of Fairhope; two sons, Owen Hedden of Washington, D.C., and William Hedden of Conn.; a sister, Gladys Hays of Fairhope; a brother, Walter Hedden of Ithaca, N.Y.; four grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.
There will be a memorial service at 11 a.m. Jan. 8 at the Fairhope Christian Church, 349 Fairwood Blvd. in Fairhope.
The family suggests that memorial contributions be made to The Lyman and Lilah Hedden Scholarship Fund, Fairhope Christian Church, P.O. Box 369, Fairhope, AL 36533.

Mr. Edwin Enfred Sundberg
A native Mobilian died Sunday morning December 12, 1999.
Mr. Sundberg served in WWII and the Korean Conflict retiring as a Colonel in the Alabama National Guard.
He was a Graduate of Auburn University and a member of the Mobile Lions Club.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Lois Sloss on Sundberg and Reuben E. Sundberg and his sisters, Frances Hudson and Ruth Sundberg.
He is survived by his wife of 53 years, Mrs. Betty Jean Bowman Sundberg; two daughters, Mrs. Peggy (Shelby) Guilbert of Shreveport, LA and Mrs. Laura (Les) Greer; six grandchildren, Shelby, Neill and Beth Guilbert, and Austin, Ed and Phillip Greer; a sister, Marion Sundberg McCall of Fairhope.
Funeral services will be held Tuesday, December 14, 1999 from Ashland Place United Methodist Church at 11am.
Interment will be in Old Spring Hill Cemetery.
The visitation will be Tuesday morning from 10am till 11am in the church parlor.
In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the local chapter of Alzheimers Association or the Lions/USA Eye Research Institute.

Anna K. Hill
THOMASVILLE - Anna Kate Hill, a former seamstress with Solomon Brothers, died Monday at her Thomasville home. She was 90.
Mrs. Hill, a native of Chickasaw, had been active in the Retired and Senior Volunteer Program.
Survivors include three daughters, Catherine Varble of Biloxi, Frances Hill of Thomasville and Brenda Brown of Mobile; two sons, Patrick Hill of Pine Hill, Ala., and Robert Hill of Thomasville; six grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren.
Services are set for 11 a.m. today at Midway Baptist Church, with burial at the church cemetery in Thomasville.
O'Bryant Chapel Funeral Home of Thomasville is handling arrangements.

Lelar S. Taylor
JACKSON - Lelar S. Taylor, a homemaker and member of St. James AME Church, died Friday in Jackson, She was 78.
Mrs. Taylor was native resident of the Lilley Valley community of Jackson. At church, she had served as president of the usher board.
Survivors include five sons, Charlie Taylor, Robert Taylor, David Taylor and Sidney Taylor, all of Jackson, and Ernest Taylor of Detroit; six daughters, Shirley A. Jones of Mobile, Lorean Washington, Vernell Taylor and Melesia Taylor, all of Jackson, Lillie Adams of McIntosh, Ala., and Sandra Moore of Savannah, Ga.; a sister, Henrietta Fox of Jackson; 26 grandchildren; 27 great-grandchildren; and a great great-grandchild.
Services are set for 1 p.m. Thursday at St. James AME Church, with viewing one hour prior to services. Burial will be at St. James Cemetery.
Andrews Funeral Home in Jackson is in charge of arrangements.

Arnold E. Wade
GROVE HILL - Arnold Edward Wade, a self-employed cabinet maker, died Tuesday at a Mobile hospital. He was 60.
Wade was a native resident of Grove Hill.
Survivors include his daughter, Kimberly F. Wade, and his sister, Ella Bee Knight of Grove Hill.
There will be no services.
Cremation arrangements were handled by Lathan Funeral Home of Jackson, Ala.
