Funeral services for Lizzie Jackson Gordon, 78, Detroit, Mich., formerly of Clanton, were held on March 9, 2000, at the Union Baptist Church in Clanton, with the Rev. Melvin Hunter directing.
Burial was in Agee Memory Gardens Cemetery with Agee Brothers Funeral Home directing.
Gordon was born on May 10, 1921, to the late Dan and Sallie Bell Jackson. She died on March 5, 2000, at Hatley Nursing Home in Clanton.
Survivors include one daughter, Cynthia Childers, Clanton; one aunt, Marie Jackson; two nieces; and one granddaughter.
Besta Wilkins
Funeral services for Mrs. Besta E. Wilkins, 81, Thorsby, were held at 3 p.m. yesterday with the Rev. Roland Davis officiating. Burial followed at Mt. Carmel Baptist No. 1 Cemetery, with Martin Funeral Home directing.
She was born on August 25, 1918 in Alabama to the late John and Kansas Jones Shelton. She died at Wetumpka Nursing Facility in Wetumpka.
She is survived by one son, Gene Wilkins of Thorsby; one brother, Roy Shelton of Snead; and three grandchildren.
Alvarada W. Neeley
Funeral services for Alvarada W. Neeley, 94, Clanton, will be held at Martin Funeral Home Chapel in Clanton on Saturday, March 18, 2000, at 1 p.m., with Rev. William Tucker officiating.
Burial will follow at Bethany Baptist Cemetery in Verbena, with Martin Funeral Home directing.
Visitation will be held at Martin Funeral Home Chapel on Friday, March 17, 2000, from 6-8 p.m.
Neeley was born on Oct. 4, 1905, in Chilton County, the daughter of the late Albert Eugene and Maggie Mae Wilkins. She was a homemaker. She died at Wetumpka Nursing Facility.
Survivors include three sons, J. Edward Neeley and Aubrey E. Neeley, both of Montgomery, and Wallace W. Neeley, Winters, Calif.; two daughters, Janice N. Littleton, Thorsby, and Shirley N. Dangler, Tullahoma, Tenn.; 12 grandchildren; and 20 great-grandchildren.
Annie Bell Logan
Funeral services for Annie Bell Logan, 83, Clanton, were held on March 4, 2000, at Union Baptist Church in Clanton, with Rev. Melvin Hunter officiating.
Burial was in Agee Memory Gardens Cemetery, with Agee Brothers Funeral Home directing.
Logan was born on Aug. 16, 1916, to Mahaya and Dave Lewis in Verbena. She died at Jackson Hospital in Montgomery on Feb. 27, 2000.
Survivors include six daughters, Mary Lee Joseph, Earnestine Perkins, Shirley Gray, Ollie Robinson, all of Montgomery, Annie Ruth Zeigler, Clanton; and Sarah Sims, Phoenix City; one son, Roy Logan, Jr., Montgomery; six sisters, Ruby Mason and Daisy Lewis, Montgomery; Carrie Lewis, Connie Lewis, and Justine Lewis, all of New York; and Lela Mae Jones, Clanton; 22 grandchildren; and 60 great-grandchildren.
George Vester Fox
Funeral services for George Vester Fox, 74, Marbury, will be held at Cox Chapel Methodist Church on Saturday, March 18, 2000, at 11 a.m.

Fox was born on March 25, 1925, in Walker County, the son of the late George Newton and Ella Miriam Fox. He was a welder. He died at Chilton Medical Center in Clanton on March 15, 2000.
Survivors include one companion, Hazel Dennis, Marbury; three sons, Randall Fox, West Blockton, and Wayne Fox and John Pettijohn, both of Clanton; three daughters, Patricia Crossway, Prattville, and Judy Gardner and Paula McCary, both of Verbena; three brothers, Jessie Fox, Moody, James Fox, Jemison, and Charles Fox, Alabaster; two sisters, Annie Lee King, Bessemer, and Frances Foshee, Jemison; four grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren.
Flora Mae Shirley
Funeral services for Flora Mae Shirley, 90, Randolph, were held at Jemison First Baptist Church on Sunday, March 18, 2000, at 10 a.m., with Rev. Chuck Bass officiating.
Burial followed at Midway Memorial Gardens in Jemison, with Martin Funeral Home directing.
Shirley was born on March 24, 1909, in Chilton County, the daughter of the late Jasper and Margrove Robinson. She was a school teacher. She died on March 16, 2000, at Briarcliff Nursing Home in Alabaster.
Survivors include one son, Wayne Shirley, Randolph; one brother, J.R. Robinson, Clanton; and three grandchildren.
