Funeral services for Pamela Gail Morris, 42, Marbury, will be held at Marbury Baptist Church on Thursday, March 23, 2000, at 2 p.m., with Rev. Tommy Roy officiating.
Burial will follow at Marbury Cemetery in Marbury.
Morris was born on May 30, 1957, in Montgomery, the daughter of Mary Merrell Rawlinson and the late Bryant Lee Rawlinson. She was a homemaker. She died on March 20, 2000, at Baptist Medical Center South in Montgomery.
Survivors include her husband, William A. Morris, Jr., Marbury; one daughter, Tasha Gail Bryant, Marbury; her mother, Mary Merrell Rawlinson, Marbury; two brothers, Franklin Lee Rawlinson, Cooper, and Daniel Rawlinson, Marbury; and one sister, Sandra Rawlinson Cowen, Pike Road.
Bernice W. Scott
Funeral services for Mrs. Bernice W. Scott, 89, of Jemison, will be held at 2 p.m. today at Center Hill Baptist Church in Jemison, with the Rev. William Short and the Rev. Thomas Hilyer officiating.
Burial will follow at Center Hill Baptist Cemetery, with Martin Funeral Home directing.
Scott was born in Chilton County on Jan. 25, 1911 to the late William and Janie Nix Webb. She died on March 13, at Hatley Health Care in Clanton.
She was a homemaker.
She is survived by two daughters, Doris Smith and Lucille Martin, both of Jemison; eight grandchildren, 17 great-grandchildren, and 15 great-great grandchildren.
Larkin Devan Davis, Jr.
Funeral services for Larkin Devan Davis, Jr., 76, Thorsby, were held at West End Baptist Church on Monday, March 27, 2000, at 2 p.m., with Rev. Tony Smitherman officiating.
Burial followed at Martin Memorial Cemetery in Clanton, with Martin Funeral Home directing.
Davis was born on in Laurel, Miss., on Aug. 20, 1923, the son of Juanita Davis and the late Larkin Devan Davis, Sr. He was retired as a space engineer in NASA. He died on March 25, 2000, at his residence.
Survivors include his wife, Evelyn M. Davis, Thorsby, two daughters, Linda Branum, Virginia Beach, Va., and Judy Patterson, Thorsby; his mother, Juanita Davis, Harahan, La.; his sister, Elizabeth Kuss, Harahan, La.; and five grandchildren.
The family requests that in lieu of flowers, donations be sent to West End Baptist Church, the American Cancer Society, or to SIFEAT.
John Alvin Cobb
Funeral services for John Alvin Cobb, 79, Clanton, were held at Walnut Creek Methodist Church on Sunday, March 26, 2000, at 2 p.m., with Rev. Tony Hughes officiating.
Burial followed at Walnut Creek United Methodist Cemetery in Clanton, with Martin Funeral Home directing.
Cobb was born on Aug. 21, 1920, in Blount County, the son of the late Alex Franklin and Carrie Cobb. He was a painter. He died on March 25, 2000 at his residence.
Survivors include his wife, Bercha P. Cobb, Clanton; two daughters, Sue Handley, Clanton, and Chryl Paxton, Cleveland; five grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren.
Persia Lessley Owens

Owens was born on Aug. 3, 1908, in Talladega County, the daughter of the late James B. and Ollie Lessley. She was a lunchroom worker. She died on March 24, 2000, in Montevallo.
Survivors include two sons, James Donald Owens, Gadsden, and Charles E. Owens, Jemison; two sisters, Estelle Pardue, Birmingham, and Mattie Paseur, Brownsboro; and two grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, James Robert Owens.
Kelly Don Ellison
Funeral services for Kelly Don Ellison, 59, Clanton, were held at Martin Funeral Home Chapel on Sunday, March 26, 2000, at 1 p.m., with Rev. Braxton Baker officiating.
Burial followed at Mobile Veterans Cemetery in Mobile, with Martin Funeral Home directing.
Ellison was born on July 10, 1940, in Chilton County, the son of Henry Lee and Vernice Ellison. He was employed in maintenance. He died on March 24, 2000, at his residence.
Survivors include two sons, Keith Ellison, New Orleans, and Kevin Ellison, Ft. Lauderdale, Fla.; one daughter, Yolanda Rushing, Muscle Shoals; two brothers, Lewis Ellison, Augusta, Ga., and Ronnie Ellison, Jemison; three sisters, Verlyn Scucci, Branson, Mo., Betty Northcutt, Jemison, and Kay King, Thorsby; and six grandchildren.
Vivian T. Capps
Funeral services for Vivian T. Capps, 68, Clanton, was held on Monday, March 27, 2000, at 11 a.m. at Jemison First Baptist Church, with Rev. Ralph Jones, Rev. Chuck Bass, and Rev. Doug Powell officiating.
Burial followed at Mars Hill Cemetery in Jemison, with Martin Funeral Home directing.
Capps was born on May 23, 1931, the daughter of the late Adolphus and Paralee Taylor. She was an LPN. She died on March 25, 2000, at Shelby Baptist Medical Center in Alabaster.
Survivors include her husband, John W. Capps, Clanton; one son, R.C. Crumpton, Jr., Fairburn, Ga.; three daughters, Sandra Boyd, Clanton, Linda Bracken, Thorsby, and Debra Lynne Smith, Columbiana; two step-sons, John Mitchell Capps, Prattville, and Horace Cook, Jemison; one step-daughter, Lessie Mae Gentry, Calera; two brothers, Noah Earl Smith and John A. Smith, both of Randolph; three sisters, Elsie R. Schmid, Clanton, Betty Sue Thomas, Randolph, and Jo Ellen Hughes, Klein, Texas; 20 grandchildren; and 13 great-grandchildren.
