Funeral services for Donna Maria Smith, 40, Westover, will be held at Martin Funeral Home Chapel in Tuesday, April 4, 2000, at 1 p.m., with Rev. Tony Smitherman officiating.
Burial will follow at Chilton Memorial Gardens, with Martin Funeral Home directing.
Smith was born on July 1, 1959, in Montgomery, the daughter of Clara Sue Rooks and the late Robert L. Pike. She was a homemaker. She died on April 2, 2000, at Brookwood Medical Center in Birmingham.
Survivors included two daughters, Crisie Davis and Amanda Smith, both of Westover; her mother, Clara Sue Rooks, Clanton; five sisters, Susan Dennison, Pelham, Bonnie Myrick and Bridget Sanders, both of Millbrook, Tammy Cleckler, Clanton, and Kathy Beard, Birmingham; two brothers, David Bone and Randy Rooks, both of Clanton; and her fiance, David Martin Morefield, Westover.
Amy Sue Tunell
Funeral services for Amy Sue Tunell, 91, Florence, will be held at Union Grove Baptist Church on Friday, March 31, 2000, at 2 p.m., with Rev. Dale Peterson officiating.
Burial will follow at Union Grove Baptist Cemetery in Jemison, with Martin Funeral Home directing.
Tunell was born on Sept. 8, 1908, in Chilton County, the daughter of the late Allen Perry and Claudia Willis Robinson. She was a hairdresser. She died at Mitchell Hollingsworth Nursing Hill of Florence on March 28, 2000.
Survivors include one son, Dennis Tunell, Florence; two sisters, Edna Ellison, Jemison, and Winnie Kate Crammond, Auburn; two grandchildren; and one great-grandchild.
Clarence Velton Burnett, Jr.
Funeral services for Clarence Velton Burnett, Jr., 70, Clanton, will be held on Saturday, April 1, 2000, at 2 p.m., with Rev. Jim Shannon and Rev. Cletice Ingram officiating.
Burial will follow at Lime Springs Methodist Cemetery in Clanton, with Martin Funeral Home directing.
Visitation will be held on Friday, March 31, 2000, from 5-8 p.m. at Martin Funeral Home Chapel.
Burnett was born on Nov. 12, 1929, in Walker County, the son of the late Clarence V. and Bessie Mae Burnett. He was an accountant and dealt with income tax services. He died on March 29, 2000, at HealthSouth Medical Center in Birmingham.
Survivors include his wife, Emogene Burnett, Clanton; three sons, Thomas E. Burnett, James Rickey Burnett, Charles V. Burnett, all of Clanton; two daughters, Nelda Cleckler and Kimberly Burnett, both of Clanton; seven grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren.
Jamie Curtis Headley
Funeral services for Jamie Curtis Headley, 20, Clanton, will be held at Martin Funeral Home Chapel on Friday, March 31, 2000, at 2 p.m., with Rev. Matt Hilyer officiating.
Burial will follow at Mineral Springs Baptist Church in Clanton, with Martin Funeral Home directing.
Headley was born in Shelby County on June 21, 1979. He was a carpenter's helper. He died on March 29, 2000, at 866 County Road 44 in a motorcycle accident.
Survivors include his father, Allen Headley, Clanton; mother, Bonnie Headley, Clanton; mother, Sherry Edwards, Clanton; two brothers, Shannon Mims and Dusty Edwards, both of Clanton; two sisters, Christy Denise Cutright and Felisha Edwards, both of Clanton; one grandfather, Ted O. Headley, Clanton; one grandmother, Ethlene Wallace, Clanton; one great-grandfather, W.C. Stamps, Clanton; and one great-great grandparent, Della Stamps, Clanton; eight uncles; and eight aunts.
Lera Ethel Edwards
Graveside services for Lera Ethel Edwards, 93, Clanton, were held at Midway Memorial Gardens in Jemison on Friday, March 31, 2000, at 11:30 a.m., with Rev. J.W. Shaw officiating and Martin Funeral Home directing.
Edwards was born on April 6, 1906, in Chilton County, the daughter of the late Daniel and Elizabeth Patterson. She was formerly from Jemison and was a homemaker. She died on March 29, 2000, at Hatley Health Care in Clanton.
Survivors include one daughter, Willodean E. Wright, Bloomington, Ill.; two sons, Edsel Edwards, Clanton, and Charles Edwards; five grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, Albert R. Edwards.
Eloise Boyd
Funeral services for Eloise Boyd, 71, Verbena, will be held at New Harmony Baptist Church on Wednesday, April 5, 2000, at 2 p.m., with Rev. Randal Mims officiating.
Burial will follow at New Harmony Cemetery in Clanton, with Martin Funeral Home directing.
Boyd was born on Aug. 1, 1928, in Alabama, the daughter of the late Henry F. and Temple Grier. She was a homemaker. She died on April 3, 2000, at Chilton Medical Center.
Survivors include her husband, Henry (Jack) Boyd, Verbena.
Emily Deann Wright
Graveside services for Emily Deann Wright, the infant child of Luke and Lisa Maria Wright of Thorsby, will be held at Thorsby Memorial Cemetery on Wednesday, April 5, 2000, at 1 p.m., with Rev. Randy Gothard officiating and Martin Funeral Home directing.
The infant was born on and died on April 1, 2000, at Shelby Baptist Medical Center in Alabaster.
