Nichols was born on Dec. 26, 1929, in Chilton County, the son of the late William Jackson and Lucy Ann Nichols. He was a minister. He died at his residence on April 8, 2000.
Survivors include his wife, Lillie W. Nichols, Plantersville; one son, Tony E. Nichols, Plantersville; three brothers, William K. Nichols, Montgomery, Thurston E. Nichols, Jones, and Willie J. Nichols, Jackson; four grandsons; and three great-grandchildren.
Jessie Delene Horton

Horton was born on Aug. 9, 1904, in Alabama, the son of the late Joseph Alexander and Virginia Magnolia Logan. She was a homemaker. She died at her residence on April 8, 2000.
Survivors include her husband, John Henry Horton, Verbena; two daughters, Virginia Farley, Pleasant Grove, and Patricia Myers, Verbena; two sisters, Mazie Bavar,
Trussville, and Mary Joe Rasco, Jemison; five grandchildren; and 13 great-grandchildren.
Winnie Mae Gore

Gore was born on June 26, 1931, in Alabama, the daughter of Will J. and Alice Samantha Mims. She was a homemaker. She died on April 10, 2000, at her residence.
Survivors include her husband, Thomas Earl Gore, Clanton; two daughters, Patricia Patterson and Debbie Howell, both of Clanton; one brother, Richard Mims, Jemison; one sister, Lorene Maddox, Thorsby; six grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.
Dixie Ann Williams

Williams was born on May 16, 1937, in Chilton County, the daughter of the late Thomas Rex and Pearl Williams. She was a clerk. She was a member of the Maplesville Lion's Club and a member of Maplesville Baptist Church. She died on April 12, 2000, at her residence.
Survivors include one special friend, Deborah Hatcher, Orville; two nephews; one niece; one great-nephew; and one great-great-nephew.
Otis Franklin Little

Little was born on Jan. 13, 1919, in Alabama, the son of the late John William and Rhoda Bell Little. He was the owner of a gas distributorship. He died at Chilton Medical Center in Clanton.
Survivors include his wife, Gertrude Little, Clanton; two sons, Hershell (Bobo) Little and Donald Little, both of Clanton; two daughters, Jeanette Mims and Joyce Popwell, both of Clanton; three brothers, James Rufus Little and Joe Miller Little, both of Deatsville, and Morris Little, Prattville; four sisters, Annie Lou Edwards, Clanton, Dora Rogers, Moundville, and Marion Nixon and Maree Solly, both of Deatsville; nine grandchildren; and 13 great-grandchildren.
Gertie Mae Adams Mitchell

Mitchell was born on Nov. 14, 1921, in Alabama, the daughter of the late Elijah and Alice Headley. She was a waitress. She died on April 15, 2000, in Clanton.
Survivors include four sons, Winston Adams, Wetumpka, and Wayne Adams, William L. Adams, and Jerry Adams, all of Clanton; one daughter, Euna Farris, Clanton; one sister, Louise Minor, Clanton; 19 grandchildren; 33 great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild.
Lula E. Rhodes

Rhodes was born on March 20, 1903, in Alabama, the daughter of the late Artie and Eliza Hicks. She was a homemaker. She died on April 17, 2000, at Chilton Medical Center in Clanton.
Survivors include one daughter, Gertrude Spigner, Maplesville; two sons, Bill Rhodes, Plantersville, and William D. Rhodes, Maplesville; one sister, Beulah Payton, Billingsley; 11 grandchildren; 29 great-grandchildren; and 10 great-great-grandchildren.
