Funeral services for Roberta Robinson Murrah, 104, Clanton, will be held on Friday, May 12, 2000, at 1 p.m. at Martin Funeral Home Chapel, with Rev. Johnny Trobaugh and Dr. Larry Michael officiating.
Burial will follow at Collins Chapel Cemetery in Jemison, with Martin Funeral Home directing.
Murrah was born on Jan. 4, 1896, the daughter of the late James Monroe and Loura Henley Robinson. She was a homemaker. She died on May 10, 2000, at her residence.
Survivors include two daughters, Eunice Hagin and Peggy Murrah, both of Clanton; two sons, William A. Murrah, Scottsboro, and A. Wyndol Murrah, Ozark; eight grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren; and six great-great-grandchildren.
Max Wilson Eiland
Funeral services for Max Wilson Eiland, 77, Clanton, were held on Saturday, May 13, 2000, at Mt. Carmel Baptist Church No. 1, with Rev. Mike Lawrence and Rev. Jeff Calhoun officiating.
Burial followed at Martin Memorial Cemetery, with Martin Funeral Home directing.
Eiland was born on Dec. 19, 1922, in Chilton County, the son of the late Henry and Annie Hayes Eiland. He was a welder. He died on May 11, 2000, at Medical Center East in Birmingham.
Survivors include his wife, Bessie Eiland, Clanton; two sons, Roger Eiland and Lynn Eiland, both of Clanton; one daughter, Juliet Hayes, Clanton; one brother, Jesse Eiland, Saraland; one sister, Pauline Owen, Winter Garden, Fla.; nine grandchildren; and one great-grandchild.
Walton H. Irvin, Jr.
Graveside services for Walton H. Irvin, Jr., 91, Thorsby, will be held at Thorsby Memory Gardens on Tuesday, May 16, 2000, at 2 p.m., with Rev. Randall Mims officiating and Martin Funeral Home directing.
Irvin was born on Jan. 4, 1909, in Georgia, the son of the late W.H. Irvin, Sr. and Nellie Irvin. He was a mechanic. He died at Beverly Health Care in Jefferson County on May 12, 2000.
Survivors include one son, Robert Irvin, Thorsby.
Lillian Mims Gardner
Funeral services for Lillian Mims Gardner, 84, Clanton, will be held at Martin Funeral Home Chapel on Wednesday, May 17, 2000, at 11 a.m., with Rev. Charles Mims officiating.
Burial will follow at Pleasant Grove Methodist Church Cemetery in Clanton, with Martin Funeral Home directing.
Visitation will be held on Tuesday, May 16, 2000, at Martin Funeral Home Chapel from 6-8 p.m.
Gardner was born on June 20, 1915, in Chilton County, the daughter of the late James R. and Lettie M. Mims. She was a homemaker. She died on May 15, 2000, at Brookwood Medical Center in Jefferson County.
Survivors include one niece and several nephews.
Fannie Lucille Campbell
Funeral services for Fannie Lucille Campbell, 83, Maplesville, were held on Saturday, May 13, 2000, at Shiloh Baptist Church in Jemison, with Rev. Terry Armstrong officiating.
Burial was in the Campbell Community Cemetery with Agee Brothers Funeral Home directing.
Mrs. Campbell was born to the late Tom and Lucy Mitchell on June 1, 1916. She was a retired school teacher. She died on May 9, 2000, at Shelby Medical Center in Alabaster.
Survivors include a son, Gregory Campbell; six grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren.
Louis Vernon Coggins, Sr.
Funeral services for Louis Vernon Coggins, Sr., 69, Montgomery, were held at Martin Funeral Home Chapel on Saturday, May 20, 2000, with Rev. Mike Jones officiating.
Burial followed at Mt. Pisgah Cemetery in Clanton, with Martin Funeral Home directing.
Coggins was born on Jan. 4, 1931, in Alabama, the son of the late Joseph and Malinda Coggins. He was a supervisor. He died on May 18, 2000, at his residence.
Survivors include one daughter, Malinda Moody, Millbrook; one son, Louis Vernon Coggins, Jr., Montgomery; one brother, Sie Coggins, Clanton; two sisters, Irene Collins, Wetumpka, and Jettie Burks, Clanton; and seven grandchildren.
Mildred Evelyn "Peggy" Ray
Funeral services for Mildred Evelyn "Peggy" Ray, 70, Clanton, will be held on Sunday, May 21, 2000, at 2 p.m., with Rev. Braxton Baker officiating.

Ray was born on Feb. 15, 1930, in Chilton County, the daughter of the late William P. Robinson, Sr., and Lutie L. Robinson. She was a seamstress. She died on May 18, 2000, at her residence.
Survivors include two sons, Kenny Ray, Clanton, and Barry Ray, Pinson; five daughters, Helen Price, Thorsby, Faye Groom, Maplesville, Diann Tubbs, Verbena, and Pamela Ray and Rhonda Giles, both of Clanton; three brothers, Travis Robinson, Crestview, Fla., and Bobby Robinson and Floyd Robinson, both of Jemison; three sisters, Dolly Weldon, Prattville, Linda Copeland, Clanton, and Norma Edwards, Gulf Shores; 12 grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.
