Dorothy Strickland, of Hartford, passed away Saturday. Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. Monday, March 31, 2003, at the chapel of Bottoms Garden Chapel Funeral Home of Hartford. Burial will be in the Hartford City Cemetery. Bottoms Garden Chapel Funeral Home, 588-3250, is in charge of arrangements.

Mr. Eddie Ray Vickers, of 620 Edgar Smith Rd., Ashford, died March 28, 2003, at the Southeast Alabama Medical Center in Dothan. He was 40. Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. Monday at Pleasant Hill Baptist Church in Gordon with Kent-Thornton-Meadows Funeral Home directing, with the Revs. Daniel Randall and Chester Padgett officiating. Burial will be held in the church cemetery following the service. Kent-Thornton-Meadows Funeral Home, 671-8351, is in charge of arrangements.

Mrs. Mildred Sue Lane Waller, of Ashford, died Sunday, March 30, 2003, at Wesley Manor Retirement Home. She was 86. Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. Monday, March 31, at Antioch Baptist Church in Ashford. Burial will follow in the church cemetery with Ward-Wilson Memory Hill Funeral Home directing. The family will receive friends from noon-1 p.m. Monday, March 31, 2003, at the church prior to the service. Ward-Wilson Memory Hill Funeral Home and Cemetery, 792-4194, is in charge of arrangements.

Mr. James Berry of Eufaula, a longtime resident of Dothan, passed away Wednesday, March 26, 2003. He was 83. Funeral services will be 3 p.m. Monday, March 31 at Unity Funeral Home Chapel, 1215 Leona Street, with the Rev. Dennis Keith Terry, pastor of Cherry Street AME Church, officiating. Burial will follow at Gates of Heaven Cemetery. Visitation will be 6 to 8 p.m. Sunday at Unity Funeral Home.

Lindon O'Neal Bostick of Long Beach, Miss., died at his home March 27, 2003. He was 59. Graveside services will be 11 a.m. Monday, March 31 at Mobile Memorial Gardens. Visitation will be 10 to 11 a.m. Monday at Mobile Memorial Gardens Funeral Home, 6040 Three Notch Road, Mobile, Ala. In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorial contributions be made to the American Cancer Society.

Robert Eugene Gibson, a resident of Enterprise Nursing Home and formerly of the New Hope Community, died Friday, March 28, 2003, at the nursing home. He was 83. Graveside services will be 2 p.m. Monday, March 31 at Springfield Baptist Church Cemetery in Brundidge with Brother Don Grantham officiating. Visitation will be 12:30 to 1:30 p.m. Monday at Dillard Funeral Home.

Mr. William Royce Johnson of Cottonwood Road, Dothan, died Friday, March 28, 2003, at his residence following a brief illness. He was 62. Funeral arrangements may be obtained by calling Ward-Wilson Memory Hill Funeral Home, 334-792-4194.

Gerald Don Lowery of Tars Circle, Dothan, died Friday, March 28, 2003, at Southeast Alabama Medical Center after a lengthy illness. He was 63. Funeral services will be 2 p.m. Sunday, March 30 at Bottoms Garden Funeral Home Chapel in Hartford. Burial will be at Black Community Cemetery. Visitation will be noon to service time Sunday at the funeral home.

Mrs. Maxie Martin of West Commerce Street, Hartford, died Wednesday evening, March 26, 2003, at Wiregrass Medical Center in Geneva after an extended illness. She was 87. Funeral services will be 2 p.m. Sunday, March 30 at First Assembly of God Church in Hartford with the Rev. Glenn Tate and the Rev. Lloyd Clark officiating. Burial will follow at Hartford City Cemetery.

Mrs. Billie McKay Moring, a resident of Somerset Assisted Living, died Saturday, March 29, 2003, following a brief illness. She was 95. Graveside services will be 3:30 p.m. Sunday, March 30 at Ward-Wilson Memory Hill Cemetery with the Rev. Orrin Barrett officiating. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Wiregrass Hospice, P.O. Drawer 2127, Dothan, Ala. 36302.

Mr. Glenn F. Powers of the Ewell Community died Friday evening, March 28, 2003, at Ozark Nursing Facility following a long illness. He was 94. Funeral services will be 3 p.m. Sunday, March 30 at Chalkhead Baptist Church with the Rev. Tommy West, the Rev. Ron Jackson and the Rev. Thaxton Whiddon officiating. Interment will follow at the church cemetery. The family will receive friends from 1:30 to service time Sunday. In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorial contributions may be made to Wiregrass Hospice, 1970 E. Andrews Ave, Ozark, Ala. 36360, or to Chalkhead Baptist Church, County Road 35, Ozark, Ala. 36360.

James Wallace Smith of Forest Park, Ga., and formerly of Webb, passed away Thursday, March 27, 2003. He was 71. Funeral services were 2 p.m. Saturday, March 29 at Dickson's Morrow Chapel with the Rev. Jimmy Ray Smith officiating. Interment followed at Camp Memorial Park.

Mr. James Tyson Baker of Ozark died Monday evening, March 24, 2003, at his home. He was 52. Visitation will be from 2 to 6 p.m. Wednesday, March 26 with family receiving friends from 4 to 6 p.m. at Holman Funeral Home, 995 South Union Avenue, Ozark, 334-774-5348.

Nina Blough of Enterprise died Tuesday, March 25, 2003, in Enterprise. She was 92. Funeral arrangements are incomplete and will be announced later by Searcy Funeral Home of Enterprise, 334-347-2517.

Darrell Wood Clark of Dothan died Sunday, March 23, 2003, at UAB Hospital in Birmingham after a courageous battle with leukemia. He was 52. Funeral services will be 2 p.m. Wednesday, March 26 at Byrd Chapel with the Rev. Robert Beasley officiating. Burial will follow at Sunset Memorial Park. Mr. Clark will be placed in the chapel one hour prior to service time today. The family will be at the Clark's residence, 2038 S. Beverlye Road, Dothan. Flowers are being accepted or donations may be made to the American Cancer Society, 2345 W. Main St., Dothan Ala. 36303.

Mrs. Nell Enfinger, a resident of Ozark Nursing Facility, died Tuesday morning, March 25, 2003, at Dale Medical Center following a long illness. She was 83. Funeral services will be 10 a.m. Thursday, March 27 at Hillcrest Baptist Church with the Rev. Isom Hill officiating. Interment will follow at Carroll Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. Wednesday, March 26 at Holman Funeral Home of Ozark and one hour prior to service time Thursday at the church.

June Clark Hale of Cape Coral, Fla. went to be with our Lord in Heaven Saturday, March, 22, 2003. She was 70. Memorial services will be 5 p.m. Thursday, March 27 at Faith Presbyterian Church. Mrs. Bernice Harvey of Dothan departed this life Saturday, March 22, 2003, at Flowers Hospital after a brief illness. She was 82. Funeral services will be 1 p.m. Thursday, March 27 at Levite Chapel in Dothan with Herman Davis officiating. Burial will follow at Little Rocky Mount Cemetery in Tumbleton. Visitation will be 4 to 6:30 p.m. Wednesday, March 26 at Levite Funeral Home Parlor B. The body will be placed in the chapel on hour prior to services.

Doris McGriff Moring of North Koonce Street, Columbia, died Monday morning, March 24, 2003, in a Dothan hospital. She was 85. Funeral services will be 11 a.m. Wednesday, March 26 at First Baptist Church of Columbia with the Rev. Robert Strickland officiating. Burial will follow at Columbia City Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 10 to 11:00 a.m. Wednesday in the parlor of the First Baptist Church. Mr. James Andrew Sullivan of Green wood Drive, Dothan, died Monday, March 24, 2003, at Southeast Alabama Medical Center following an extended illness. He was 83. Funeral services will be 10 a.m. Thursday, March 27 at Ward-Wilson Memory Hill Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Billy Hammonds officiating. Edna Wilson of Chancellor died Monday, March 24, 2003, at Flowers Hospital in Dothan. She was 54. Graveside services will be 11 a.m. Wednesday, March, 26 at Meadowlawn Cemetery with the Rev. Alfred Ikner officiating. Burial will follow at Meadowlawn Cemetery.

Darrell Wood Clark, a resident of Dothan, died Sunday, March 23, 2003 at UAB Hospital in Birmingham, Alabama after a courageous battle with leukemia. He was 52. Funeral services will be held 2 p.m. Wednesday, March 26, 2003 at Byrd Chapel with Rev. Robert Beasley officiating and Byrd Funeral Home directing. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 6 until 9 p.m. on Tuesday. At other times the family will be at the Clark's residence, 2038 South Beverlye Road in Dothan. Flowers are being accepted or donations may be made to the American Cancer Society, 2345 West Main St., Dothan Alabama, 36303. Honorary pallbearers will be Mr. Clark's nephews and employees of Builders Lighting and Appliance. Byrd Funeral Home, 334-793-3003, is in charge of arrangements.

Mrs. Marie McLellan Faulk, of W. Pullum Street, Samson, and Magnolia Wood Lodge of Troy, died Saturday, March 22, 2003 in Troy following an extended illness. She was 93. Funeral services will be 11 a.m. today in the First Baptist Church of Samson with Dr. J. Chris Adams, and Rev. Ralph Aaron officiating. Burial will follow in the Traveler's Rest Cemetery with Pittman Funeral Home of Samson directing. Mrs. Faulk will be placed in the church one hour before time for services. The family suggests that in lieu of flowers, honorariums may be made to the Traveler's Rest Cemetery Fund, 4 North Canal Street, Samson, AL., 36477 or to Enterprise Hospice of Troy.
