Darrell Dean Longsine:
A memorial service for Darrell Dean Longsine, 71, Clanton, will be held on Sunday, June 2, 2002, at 4 p.m., at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints, with Martin Funeral Home directing.
Longsine was born on May 28, 1930, in Sidney, Neb., the son of the late Virgil Clyde Longsine and the late Viola Longsine. He was in the U.S. Air Force and was the owner of Ike's Boot Sotre and Shoe Repair. He died on May 27, 2002, at his residence.
Survivors include his wife, Norma Louise Longsine, Clanton; one son, Darrell Dean Longsine, Jr., Naples, Fla.; two daughters, Peggy Starling Abbott, Montgomery, and Tina Louise Perdue, Jemison; two sons-in-law, George A. Abbott, Montgomery, and Tim Perdue, Jemison; five grandchildren, Harvey Starling, Robert Starling, James Starling, all of Montgomery, Haley Louise Perdue and Page Louise Perdue both of Jemison.
Harriet Malina Pratt:
Harriet Malina Pratt, 85, Clanton, died on May 24, 2002, at Chilton Medical Center.
Burial will be held at Walnut Grove Cemetery in Meridian, Miss.
Pratt was born on May 2, 1917, in Connecticut, the daughter of the late George Cope and the late Mary Cope. She was a homemaker.
Survivors include one daughter, Delta Junction, Arkansas.
Martha Emily Bouchet Faulk:
Funeral services for Martha Emily Bouchet Faulk, 70, Montevallo, were held at Providence Baptist Church No. 1 in Montevallo on Saturday, May 25, 2002, at 10 a.m., with Scott Watson officiating.
Burial will follow at Providence Cemetery in Montevallo, with Rockco Funeral Home directing.
Faulk died on May 23, 2002, in Alabaster
Survivors include two daughters, Linda Young, Calera, Nancy Nolin, Springville; two sons, Billy Faulk, Montevallo, J.W. Faulk, Macon, Ga.; one brother, Adrien Bouchet, Birmingham; five grandchildren.
Sam M. Sansom:
Funeral services for Sam M. Samson, 57, of Marietta, Ga. will be held Sunday, May 26 at 2 p.m. at Elizabeth Baptist Church in Marietta, Ga. with Dr. Steve Stanfield officiating.
The body will lie in state for one hour before the service at the church. Additional services will be held at noon on Monday, May 27 at New Covenant Church in Clanton with Reverend John Clifton Davis officiating. Body will lie in state at the church one hour before the service.
Burial will follow at Pleasant Valley Baptist Church Cemetery.
Born in Chilton County, Sansom had been a resident of Cobb County, Ga. for the past 30 years. Sansom was a Navy Seal serving during the Vietnam War. He was self-employed as a welder. Sansom was an avid fisherman.
Survivors include his wife, Renee F. Stewart of Marietta, Ga; daughters Kim Daniel of Powder Springs, Ga and Kelah S. McNeill of Southlake, Texas; son Karl Turner of Dallas, Ga.; mother Willie "MawMaw" Sansom of Verbena; sister Maurine DeLoach of Verbena, brother Charles Edward Sansom of Jemison and six grandchildren.
Family will receive friends from 2-4 p.m. and 6-8 p.m. at Carmichael Funeral Home in Marietta, Ga.
